so does anyone know what you need to put down for the steam id iv tried but cant get to work. do you ned the STEAM_ part befor the 0:0:969696969 stuff or jus the numbers iv tried but wont work  had working befor I updated to newest version

"0:0:969696969" this is not your steamID, go to http://www.steamidfinder.com/ and put in your steam profile link (e.g.  http://steamcommunity.com/id/yourplayernamehere)

 

it will then give you something like "0:0:969696969" which you then copy and put in place of your url and do it again, you will then be given your steamID.

 

Can also be found by going to your profile in arma2:OA and hit the edit button on your user name, it is the long number down the bottom.

hmm still not working with that. is it even using the steam ids or can your put the player uid cus the first page says you need steam id but it dosnt work

Go to 

http://steamidfinder.com/

 

Go to your steam profile and copy the url

 

Paste that url in the steamidfinder box

 

It will give you something like: STEAM_0:1:11230023

 

Copy that and paste it in the steamidfinder search box.

 

It will give you some number like this: 76561197982725779

Have done a restore, deleted all logs and restart the server, join without an issue and this is the entire log it gave me.

Add all the files and do the init part ONLY. Join your server and see what happens. Then if that work do the serverfunctions.sqf edit. I have a feeling this is the cause. If that works do the other edits.

"0:0:969696969" this is not your steamID, go to http://www.steamidfinder.com/ and put in your steam profile link (e.g.  http://steamcommunity.com/id/yourplayernamehere)

 

it will then give you something like "0:0:969696969" which you then copy and put in place of your url and do it again, you will then be given your steamID.

 

Can also be found by going to your profile in arma2:OA and hit the edit button on your user name, it is the long number down the bottom.

 

I didn't know arma showed the steam id now.

ya I did that n got the numbers for me n someone else n it didn't work  i went back to last version 1.8.2 n used playeruid and it works fine.  are you all using this newest version with your steam ID. Also is it maybe that my server isn't using the new steam version without gamespy. idk if mine got updated or not. Im using the arma2 1.63 version112555 and all but in my ftp n phpmyadmin my character_data n stuff all still has playerUID it uses for the players gear. Im confused on what this whole steam update is.

112 is NOT the steam update. It is a normal arma beta update.

It does actually check. It was a kind of hasty patch though. I really wanted to get it fixed as soon as possible. I will be going through yours and using it to properly set up the addvehicle soon. After reading through the command for finding safe spawn spot it had said it returns [], so I thought that my comparison command would work. Apparently it doesn't return a simple [] like the command page says. I found out about the cont looking in the examples and used that for my latest update on the player teleport (vehicles will no longer teleport into buildings or epoch walls).

 

If you have a github then you can put up a request to merge that change into the tool (do it to the test branch) so that your contribution shows on github if you like. I have about 8 different things I am doing right now so its a lot of back and forth. Pretty sleep deprived as well since I have to take care of this little kitten all night.

 

Sure mate, not sure if i did it right but i think i might have made my first pull request ever :P

I have had one idea for fixing this, which is moving the adminlist execute above if !isDedicated so that it is outside the if. It seems like one of two things can be happening, it is running activate without having ran adminlist yet, or it is running activate before adminlist is finished executing. If we move it outside the if it must go above it or we will get an error from the antihack for undefined variable as well. If that does not fix it then it means adminlist does not finish executing.

Hi Gator, I have not tried to add new vehicles to the menu spawn list yet myself (I did add a couple of guns to the list though) I think it's in the AdminToolsMain.sqf that you need to edit. Look for this spot and simply add a new line with the new vehicle you want copying the format of the other vehicles. However you should be able to view all vehicles in the graphical menu and simply select to spawn temp or perm at the bottom of the graphical list as well.

Perm vehicle spawns work now in the latest update :D 

Still having a strange issue with trying to spawn in a temp vehicle (it either disappears or explodes shortly after you get into one and start to drive away) Might be an issue with something else on our server though. Temp database spawns do seem to work ok when setting them up with right click deployables from the inventory however so  :wacko:

 

what do you mean latest update?

latest update of the admin tools? or latest update of arma? or latest update of epoch?
