[TUTORIAL] How to install an overpoch server & custom loot tables

Yeah, haven't resolved it yet. When I saw those I thought they were just part of the usual error messages.

 

Haven't spent too much time on it the past couple days, but I'm wondering now if I merged the addons incorrectly in mission.sqm. Dunno. This really shouldn't be so complicated lol, I'm likely messing up something really simple.

Should be

You do not need the hive, and the lingor map should be loaded before the epoch files

Thanks, appreciate the suggestions. Still the same error though. I need to start the install from scratch when I have some time. I added the @hive just to get rid of the cloud in DayZ Commander  :P

For some reason, I can't spawn the Overwatch vehicles, but I can spawn the guns. Any reason why?

 

info : I'm running Epoch Taviana, I'm trying to make it Overpoch Taviana, so what I did was put the overwatch.bikey in my keys folder on my ftp, added the addons to my missions.sqm, and set the launch parameters. I can't understand why the vehicles won't spawn though.

 

I'm using infiSTAR anti hack. I see the vehicles on the spawn menu, but when I go to spawn them, they don't appear.

 

i'm also on the Taviana map, if that helps.

 

Make sure you add the Overwatch vehicles to dynamic_vehicle.sqf in mission folder for the map you are running in your dayz_server.pbo. So you would edit dynamic_vehicles in dayz_server---->missions---> DayZ_Epoch_13.Tavi---> dynamic_vehicles.sqf

I followed the tutorial but I do not get ANY vehicles spawning on the map at all... not even the regular epoch vehicles, I have not changed anything in my init.sqf since AI have gone to overpoch from epoch. I have even tried the original dynamic vehicle spawn with no luck.

I've been trying... got so far...

I added:

[] execVM "\ddopp_taserpack\scripts\init_Taser.sqf";

to the init.sqf - which gave me an error in the RPT about 'DDOPP_taser_babel' not being defined.

So I checked the original ddopp mod and found DDOPP_taser_babel was defined in the \scripts\ folder of the orig ddopp mod, in the: fnc_server.sqf file.

Soooo I added '
 

call compile preprocessFileLineNumbers "custom\fnc_server.sqf";

to my init.sqf and now INSTEAD of the RPT error, I get:
 

18:16:28 "D.DOPPLER Taser Mod: No global chat logic exists! Creating a global chat logic..."
and
18:25:13 "D.DOPPLER Taser Mod: Global chat logic created."

Which I think is a good sign!

Then I added this to my custom 'fn_damageHandler.sqf' file:

_this select 0 = Victim hit by Taser
_this select 3 = Shooter who fired the Taser
_this select 4 = Taser projectile/bullet

Made a post regarding this in scripting help but I thought I mind as well put it in this thread too, maybe someone can think of any suggestions.

No changes were made to the sqm, I edited some things in my custom loot table folder (Which was working fine before hand) and then I get the "ErrorMessage: Config : some input after EndOfFile." on my rpt and some new error I have never seen before :/

PS: question, am I not allowed to make a topic about overpoch? I'm not sure why my previous post got removed, because this will only bring more people to epoch?

 

Hey man!

I've made everything like you said but i'm getting one error. 

When i log in it says: No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgWorlds.Overpoch'.

 

Do you know how to fix this? This is the only error i'm getting and, i think, because of that, there is no grass on the map.

Everything else works fine.

one thing ommited in most guuide is you need to take you dayz code, and dayz code bi sig, and overwrite and paste in the overwatch foler from epoch. so go into overwatch. find dayz_code, rename it "dayz_code_bak, do the same for its bi file. now go to your epoch folder. copy its dayz_code and bi file for it, and past them into the overwatch folder. the DayZ code has to be the same  for both mods. other wise it hangs on boot.

How i can fix it? I just need this server to test Overpoch with admin menu before playing on public servers.

one thing ommited in most guuide is you need to take you dayz code, and dayz code bi sig, and overwrite and paste in the overwatch foler from epoch. so go into overwatch. find dayz_code, rename it "dayz_code_bak, do the same for its bi file. now go to your epoch folder. copy its dayz_code and bi file for it, and past them into the overwatch folder. the DayZ code has to be the same  for both mods. other wise it hangs on boot.

Do you know if this is the problem for me? because i'm still getting error for no entry cfg.worlds, even after doing what you said..
