  1. I know this is not the best way. But I have set up so many servers. Really it's no so complicated. My edits may seem out of order. But in the end it is the same. Arma 2 Epoch install on Windows Server 2012 R2. These programs may not be the lastest so please check the websites to make sure you get the latest! These are not what I normally use. I use Mikero's tools, Sublime..ect. But this will get you up and running quick and easy. Notepad++ https://notepad-plus-plus.org/ Highlighter for Arma SQF editing if needed http://killzonekid.com/arma-2-arma-3-hybrid-syntax-highlighter-for-notepad/ Alternative and Recommended by me.: VSCode by Microsoft with sqf plugins. https://code.visualstudio.com/ CTRL-P and search SQF plugins Windows Redistributables and DirectX Installers. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4207177/Window Redist and DirectX installers.zip WinRar http://www.rarlab.com/ or 7zip http://www.7-zip.org/download.html (For unpacking .zip and .rar files) PboManager http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=16369 (For .pbo unpacking and packing) MySql Server https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/ (Download Full or Web. Web will just download needed items.) SteamCMD https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/client/installer/steamcmd.zip (For installing Arma 2 and Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead) SteamCMD .bat files for Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4207177/SteamCMD Bats.zip Arma 2 Epoch 1.06 Server and Client: http://epochmod.com/a2dayzepoch.php PowerShell (removes zone id) Unblocks all files in folder: dir -Path "[server path]" -Recurse|Unblock-File example: dir -Path D:\epoch -Recurse|Unblock-File If there is something I missed or can provide feedback it would be much appreciated.
  2. Hmm? There is no init.sqf in the Server by default. Only in the mission.
  3. Yes, looks like they will have full modding support. "PLAY TOGETHER OR ALONE Play alone locally or fight for survival and dominance in persistent multiplayer on public servers. You can also host your own server and invite others to join you in a world where you have full control of the rules and settings. Want to play with just handful of friends? Try co-op mode! CONTROL YOUR EXPERIENCE When playing alone locally or on a server you are the administrator of you have access to a range of in-game tools. These allow you to change progression speed, spawn monsters, turn yourself invisible, deactivate avatars, and much more. Be the dungeon master of your own server! PLAY WITH MODS Download Conan Exiles mods directly from the Steam workshop to customize your game experience. You can also download the custom Conan Exiles Unreal Editor and start creating your own!"
  4. 1.0.6

    When server is not running it will simply be BEServer.cfg Once the server is running it should change to something like BEServer_active_24d6.cfg Make sure it's not named BEServer_active.cfg when server is not running.
  5. You can run from server_monitor.sqf At the bottom of server_monitor.sqf just use something like: [] execVM "\z\addons\dayz_server\buildings\adminbase.sqf"; then place your additions in buildings folder or whatever you name it. Make sure they a formatted correctly and remove your unit as that will cause a black screen. Example: if (isServer) then { _vehicle_0 = objNull; if (true) then { _this = createVehicle ["FlagCarrierUSA_EP1", [14238.571, 14178.717, -1.5258789e-005], [], 0, "CAN_COLLIDE"]; _vehicle_0 = _this; _this setPos [14238.571, 14178.717, -1.5258789e-005]; }; _vehicle_1 = objNull; if (true) then { _this = createVehicle ["HeliH", [14236.032, 14159.746, -1.5258789e-005], [], 0, "CAN_COLLIDE"]; _vehicle_1 = _this; _this setPos [14236.032, 14159.746, -1.5258789e-005]; }; _vehicle_2 = objNull; if (true) then { _this = createVehicle ["HeliH", [14236.905, 14125.144, -1.5258789e-005], [], 0, "CAN_COLLIDE"]; _vehicle_2 = _this; _this setPos [14236.905, 14125.144, -1.5258789e-005]; }; _vehicle_3 = objNull; if (true) then { _this = createVehicle ["HeliH", [14237.799, 14099.687, 0], [], 0, "CAN_COLLIDE"]; _vehicle_3 = _this; _this setPos [14237.799, 14099.687, 0]; }; _vehicle_4 = objNull; if (true) then { _this = createVehicle ["FuelPump_DZ", [14237.784, 14108.386], [], 0, "CAN_COLLIDE"]; _vehicle_4 = _this; _this setPos [14237.784, 14108.386]; }; };
  6. Yes servers can be expensive. But you knew that when you decided to open a server. If you were not prepared to cover the costs then you shouldn't be running the server. https://www.bistudio.com/monetization/faq So, what is the difference between donation and monetization? What is allowed and what has to be approved? Donation is a voluntary gift without any counter-value. You do not offer any perks or rewards for such donations and players do not expect anything back. This is allowed and does not require our approval. Monetization happens when players, unlike with donations, receive some kind of reward or perk for their money. This requires our approval. Some examples of allowed rewards are perks which do not affect gameplay, e.g. custom textures, skins, forum badges, reserved slots, product placement, in-game advertising and sponsorship. You can also sell in-game items which do not affect gameplay in any way (e.g. special hats, designed shirts with logos, etc.) – generally everything cosmetic is allowed. On the other hand, perks and rewards such as providing in-game money, weapons, ammo, vehicles, discounts, vehicle spawns, housing and any other gameplay affecting features are not allowed and will not be approved. On my server I am using mods created by other people. May I get approval to monetize? You may, but ONLY if you have proper permission from all of the authors of such mods. Monetizing without it contravenes our licenses May I give special weapons or other gameplay affecting items to donators as a reward for donations? No, if someone is getting something back for donating, it is no longer a donation but a sale. These rules apply to ARMA 3 servers. Do they also apply to ARMA 2, DayZ and other games of Bohemia Interactive? Under what rules can I monetize these games? These rules apply exclusively to ARMA 3 and DayZ servers. Moreover, it is not allowed to monetize ARMA 2, or any other Bohemia Interactive game. However, bearing in mind the difference between donations and monetization, you can accept donations for such servers. Epoch is a non-commercial mod. Nothing in Epoch is allowed for monetization https://www.bistudio.com/community/licenses/arma-public-license-share-alike " higher build limits, removing building time and more deployables " effect gameplay. Perks can only be cosmetic.
  7. Servers just don't magically populate by themselves....Like a store you need to promote, advertise, and give players a reason to want to come to your server. Ask yourself what separates your server from the other's? Probably not much if anything at all.
  8. I'm thinking you are meaning the Stamina/Fatigue system. Use the search, it has been asked a few times and answered already.
  9. There is an example cmd in the server files. https://github.com/EpochModTeam/Epoch/blob/release/Server_Install_Pack/start-A3-cmd-line-example.txt and an SteamCmd bat's for installing the necessary mods. https://github.com/EpochModTeam/Epoch/tree/release/Tools/Install pick your poison. Chernarus requires Cups Terrains core.
  10. If you are trying to run Chenarus then change the server.cfg to epoch.Chernarus and you will need to download the mods and and them to your startup bat. And put the keys for those mods in the keys folder.
  11. Well. Your Arma 3 server version is out of date. Define your BE port in Beserver.cfg and make sure it matches epochserver.ini
  12. Not that easy. Everybody uses a different host or their dedicated is running a different OS.
  13. You will need to edit as Administrator for it to save. Right click notepad and Run as Administrator, Then navigate to the above and add it then then save.
