vehicle spawn help?!

hey, so my server used to spawn around 400-500 vehicles, choppers included and such, but now its only spawning about 100, could this be because of the custom map edits? and if so, what can i do to make vehicles spawn more often and more of them.

Your custom maps edits are classed as vehicles, you need to rename them or increase the vehicle count to compensate.

how do i rename them? and how would i increase the vehicle count?

Read post, look where it explains how to optimize your .sqf files, It means they will no longer be classed as vehicles and then real vehicles will spawn :)

notepad++ is an amazing little tool for this, its basicaly notepad with extras, click search, replace, type in what you want to replce and then what you want to replace it with, then click the button that says replace all and it will do it all for you :D took me no more than 20 mins to replace several thousand lines :)

I've noticed in my server logs messages about not being able to find a suitable vehicle to spawn, or something to that effect.  In the dynamic_vehicle.sqf file  in your server PBO (where you can edit which types of vehicles spawn, etc.), I increased the numbers of the vehicles I allow to spawn, and that increased the vehicles that spawned "in the wild".

sorry i didn't reply last month, things where busy here. i believe they do, your debug monitor as an admin may show you
