  2. Since 105 or 1051 (since 105 was only around for a day before 1051 came out...) I have had strange goings on with humanity. Sometimes and for some players, not all, it randomly doubles either each time they relog or at server restart. I haven't been able to pin it down more than that. The problem last month was quite rare so, I didn't bother with it after a quick google didn't find anything. However, over the last 2-3 weeks it has developed into a more serious problem. It seems to be happening to some players, not all and the same players. It can happen 3-4 times a day for some players and has resulted in them having humanity in the +/- millions. I have googled around again and can't see anything posted....? I have tried the obvious and systematically turned off and on all additional scripts/changes for the last month and haven't been able to narrow it down to any of them either. We are a pretty loaded server with all the usual popular scripts: DZ Group Management, Enhanced Spawn Selection, infiSTAR, Logistics, WAI, EMS, infiSTAR SafeZones to name a few... The server is high population and a managed virtual server so, unfortunately I don't have the luxury of a dev server to test with and have to be careful with what I'm doing with the live based on the population. Is anyone else seeing this problem at all on their server? Would appreciate any help. Thanks
  3. Since the update of Epoch to 105/1051 there have been a lot of players reporting that they get stuck at the load screen on servers that have updated which, includes my server, GoG's World. Also, since we went back to arma2oa version 1.63.112555 (non Steam version but still on Commander), some players are having problems joining even though they have that version installed. If you follow these simple steps, on servers with this version combination, both problems are resolved 100% to our knowledge: Stuck at Loadscreen? On your PC, go to \Users\yourname\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\MPMissionsCache and delete everything. These are just cached mission files and will be downloaded each time you join a server. (Unhide this folder tree if it is not there by selecting show hidden files and folders in folder options) (If you still cannot find this try searching for the folder name) Restart your PC Rejoin the server through either DayZ Commander or the multiplayer lobby of arma2oa Keep Getting Kicked Trying to Join? Go to DayZ Commander settings and uncheck the 'Launch Using Steam' option in 'Steam Options' Join the server again using DayZ Commander If the above didn't work, reinstall your arma 2 in Commander EVEN if it says you are already on version 112555. Rejoin the server using DayZ Commander As I mentioned earlier, these steps above have worked in 100% of reported cases on my server. Depending on which problem you are experiencing, please follow the steps above exactly. It would really help the community if you or, anyone you know who has read this and tried it, whether it worked or not, could please report your/their feedback. I really hope this helps a lot of people. Good luck!

I have installed and "setup" a DayZ Epoch 1.0.5.1 server to where i can start it up all vine but when i try to join it dose the following I have looked and tried things with no avail, there is no data in the player sql stuff to format/wipe, i have 2300, 2301, and 2303 ports open/forwarded, it shows in the arma MP browser but i simply can not join. I often see people getting asked for certain .RPT files so i have included them along with my hive and cfg. Also in the server_log it often shows "Mission DayZ Epoch Chernarus read from directory." is this a problem? EpochServerStf.zip

Is anyone else seeing this? Can anyone help? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  7. I'm having a problem with the R3F Tow/Lift Script. I'll link it at the bottom of the post if I can find it again. I'm not sure why it's not working so hopefully some one on here will be able to help. I'm installing it on Overpoch 1.0.5.1 and when I spawn in fresh vehicles the tow script works but once those vehicles have been on the server thru a restart, the lift tow script will no longer work on them. It's strange because the script itself is working fine as long as the vehicles have not been on the server thru a restart. I can spawn in a SUV and it will let me tow it. Then I will restart the server and that SUV can no longer be towed but I could spawn in the same model SUV right next to it and the script will allow me to tow that one. I do not understand why a restart makes the vehicles untowable. The script is running and the vehicles were able to be towed right before the restart and the same model can be towed if I spawn a new one in.   8. We had a player report and issue to us today regarding the BAF_L85A2_RIS_Holo gun, it could be bought for 9 10oz Gold Bars! but sold for 6 gold bars...... We fixed the trader price, but has anyone else noticed that? We have no edited our prices so its not a change we've made.

  10. I have been recently trying to get a DayZ Epock server running on my box ruinning Windows Server 2012. The server loads fine, but never gets past the "Creating" phase. All players that connect get stuck at "Wait for host". I have tried both 1.0.5 and 1.0.5.1. Both on the Chernarus map and Taviana.   11. Has anyone else experienced this on Epoch 1.0.5.1 (AO patch 12255)? We've had 7 or 8 players in the past 3/4 days complain of humanity resets. I think all of them have been after a death. (I will double-check this when our server hosts get our server back up and running. It's down for the new AO patch I think.) I'll list the mods we have installed and update as I remember them: BTC Lift MF-Tow DZMS Service Point by Axecop Hero Perks (another admin copied this and made a Bandit perks version, code here) Welcome Credits/Message Infistar Safezones Snap Build We have database functions to restore trader stock but that's about it. I don't think we experienced this once on 1.0.4.2 but we also had slightly different mods so who knows. Any ideas and suggestions are welcome.
  12. I have R3F Arty and Logistics working with the exception of an oddity I have noted. Vehicles can be towed to other vehicles successfully, but the often will be intersect front to back or one on top of the other. See attached screenshots. I am trying to figure out where I can specify a follow distance, but I am coming up short. Anyone else seen this behavior? CodeWarrior
  13. Hey everyone, Ok so I've tried reading everywhere and just cannot get this server to run using Vilayer. I've reset everything and am going to do this from scratch. Would love if I could get a walkthrough or the steps required to get this server to work. I have no idea where the .bat file is located!   14. Hello After the transition to the new version 1.0.5.1. I after a few minutes or hours of play. When re-entering, and what happens in the third or fourth round. Infinite loading occurs. Solved the complete removal of the character from the database. How to fix it?
  15. Ever since the new steam integration vilayer has been a nightmare. Very little support and re-sending the same message. I've done a fresh vanilla epoch install to my server and yet it still kicks me or anyone who tries to join. It seems like the primary issue in the rpt is player without identity. I've reinstalled arma 2 client side with all components twice. I've even tried shutting down battleye. I figured it might be a database issue.   16. Hello guys, i'm just wondering why i cant get a 1.0.5.1 server running. Made a completely new server, configured all. Its loading the database and all the stuff rigt, but when joining at one point it says me: BattlEye Failed to update. And i'm getting kicked back in the lobby. BTW: I'm running a dedicated Server.
  17. Hello, i've got problems getting the traders working.. Every time a normal player tries to open the trader window it closes instantly. For me (admin with infiSTAR it is working). Anyone knows what that could cause ? Need to get it working. My players want to trade again :D
  18. Updated server to 1.0.5.1 and everything is going well except for one issue... There is a player on my server who has a fairly large base built on Skalisty Island. His base is 100% maintained and paid for on his plot pole. After every restart for the past 4-5 restarts, anywhere from 2-10 built walls/doors/floors just vanish. They are getting deleted from the database as well, so I know it's not an issue with it just not rendering. The items never reappear. Any thoughts on what might be causing it? I feel like it has something to do with being over our vehicle limit, so I purged all unlocked vehicles with empty inventory and took the server below the max vehicle limit, but parts of his base still disappeared after the next reboot. Now I don't know where to look next. It seems to only be happening to this one player whose base is nowhere near any other player's base. Where should I look next to try to resolve this issue?   19. Hey all, I thought I would start this topic in an effort to help everyone updating to 1.0.5.x. I am currently awaiting Vilayer to update it's LiveSync. But I am preparing as much as possible beforehand by doing my research. I am going to go out on a limb and ask if perhaps if any script owners have updated their scripts to be compatible with 1.0.5.1, maybe you can post a link to it here? Name the script and include a link to your post? I think this would vastly help the community, and calm the frustrations of some! Not sure how this will be received, but let's see what happens. Thanks!
  20. After updating to 1.0.5.1 I keep getting stuck on the loading, at 11 seconds(timer) each time. Heres the RPT, any suggestions?
  21. Having just spent the 2 days (including planning) upgrading from 1042 to 105, I now see there is a hotfix, 1051 available. Is there any chance, for those of us that have already spent a lot of time going through the upgrade, to get some instructions on a delta of the changes and what files need to be changed from 105 to 1051 so it isn't such a massive exercise starting all over again? I have a looked through the server file changelogs and installation instructions but, can't see anything like this at all. If it already exists and I haven't looked in the right place, I apologise but, please point me in the right direction. Would make my life a lot easier if I could get this? Thanks
