  1. So I have heard and seen that you can save settings to a character. For example, a player changes his view distance and after logging back in it will keep that setting he has changed. The way I want to use this: I have some music that plays when a player loads into the server, and I am trying to allow them an option to turn it off permanently if they decide to. I heard something about profileNamespace is what I need to do, but I do not know how to do this. I just need some basic information on how to do such a thing, I can figure out how to make the option for the player via right click option or scroll wheel option, but I am confused on most of the other stuff. Maybe it's really simple and easy and I just don't see it, or maybe I have to define a variable for the toggle option of the music in a bunch of complicated ways.     So Grahame kindly helped me install all of the scripts on my server, they have been working like a charm up until last night! I carried out Manual Server Restart and when i Re-Joined the server non of the plugins were showing in game? I checked the epoch.Altis.pbo folder and all of the scripts are there like they should be. I get the error "mpmissions\__cur_mp.Altis\mission.sqm/Mission/Entities/Item3/Entities/Item0.type: Vehicle class VirtualMan_EPOCH no longer exists" when trying to join my private server this is a new problem and was wondering if this was an update issue or what, it comes up repeatedly and the screen flashes after clicking join
  4. Hi all, Its been ages since I played A2 epoch/dayz. I mostly stopped because things were getting to easy. Banking, currency, no item weights, insane base building, high mil loot. So I'm basically looking for a server that fits a few parameters. Doesn't need to fit them all and any suggestions are welcome. 1: Cherno is my fav map. But anything with euro like forestry and such is cool. 2: Medium- low loot spawn, I don't want a assault rifle with holo sight within 20 mins 3: High trader cost. I want it to be a struggle to save up to buy my first SUV. Something that takes days, not a few hours of gaming. 4: Its unlikely, but a first person only server would be awesome. 5: Few military spec vehicles. I [email protected] mind a humvee with 50 if its hard to attain. But no tanks/jets :P 6: none of that spawn a bike BS, or build a heli out of scrap in your bag nonsense. Basically, I want a server where its hard to survive, and makes it count something when your desperately trying to kill another player. An element of RPG is something I miss in this mod/game. Hopefully to go along with this, a community that takes this approach. I used to really like Dayz because it reminded me somewhat of chess, each move really counted and there was an element of risk. It wasn't just about fast first person shooter reactions, but trickery and deceit :D Thanks, Theo

  6. Hi, I used to play A2 Epoch a long time ago, now I wish to play again. The only problem is I need to find a server to play on! However, I wish for the server to meet these requirements, preferably all of them, but some to most will do. Required (I really need these to be in the server) : 1. Normal loot or lower than normal loot: I don't want to play on a server that makes it too easy to gear up, I want a bit of that survival feel 2. Any AI missions: I really like these, I would prefer a server with very difficult AI missions like WICKED AI, or any other difficult AI, 3. Chernarus map: This is my favorite map by far, if it meets all requirements except for this one, then it's fine to post it Optional (Not needed for the server, but would be much appreciated) : 1. Metal/Gem System: I'm fine with coins, but I would prefer the good old metals and gems for currency 2. Slightly Militarized: I prefer slightly militarized server, as long as it is extremely expensive or difficult to get these militarized vehicles or weapons (ex. 8-10 briefs for a LAV-25 HQ, or 100-150 briefs for a T-34) 3. Active staff/Events: I would really prefer for there to be active/ semi-active staff, and/or events That is really everything I want, any more features are probably fine, if you feel like I would like the server, feel free to post it :D Thanks, OfficeMax(365)

  10. Hello, I love playing the epoch mod for arma 2 but I have one problem. FPS! I have no problem playing any other games with no fps problem. Though when I play games like arma 2 or arma 3 My fps ranges from 10-30 on all low settings. I have talked to server owners ect about the problem and they tell me my cpu is not strong enough to run it. Though I have a 3.90 ghz cpu. I have tried everything from GPU acceleration to 1, lowered render in game and lowered quality but still bad fps. I have heard the engine is not quite optimized. After the dayz standalone update I can run it on max setting no problem, I have been told to get an intel cpu but I dont want to spend a fortune on something so stupid and pointless.   11. Hy, Im a long time Dayz Epoch player, but I wasn't able to play for a long time. Now im back and i can't find a good server that i like, so i came here to you guys for suggestions. Im more a survival person and not a (COD) arma player who 24/7 likes to shoot people, but a little bit PVP can be fun time to time. So these are somethings i like and dislike in a server. Things i like: Original spawns Roaming AI (not to much/to OP) Balanced mission & loot High trader prices (working hard for something, but the origenal prices are really good to) Animal spawns (for hunting) Vehicle towing/lifting (not bikes towing AC-130's) All around good FPS A custom map, but not to many addition's so it gets to crowded. Events can be funny time to time] Night time Rain Dynamic night lighting (citys with lights in the night) - TL;DR: a bit hard-core surviving Things i dislike: Guns spawns everywhere. Slow zombies To easy AI (retarded AI) jets/tanks/armored vehicles everywhere stupid map adittions duping players/admins that spawn everything (hate those peepz btw) Low trader prices 24/7 day - TL;DR: i dont like COD epoch servers If you have any suggestions or questions, pleas let me know! And a server doesn't need all the things i like, if you have a all around good server i will probably visit and give it a try. Thank you for taking the time to read this.     I had no problems playing on a server until a bandit killed me (AI), my screen turned grey. None of button worked since then in game, not even Alt + Tab. Whenever I join the server my screen for 1s gets back to the place I was killed and turns grey again. Please help.
  15. Hello guys, I currently need some help with combining two classes together. I know it's something to do with 'PlotManagement' & 'DRNSpawn Selector'. Everytime I remove the DRNSpawn line from the description.ext, the error goes away and it allows me to join the server with no errors inside of the RPT.   17. everytime i join a server either the rzinfection says it needs exile_client and its confusing or other times it says @exile file need to be removed or just any ther is always some file that needs to be remove and its driving me crazy because even arma 2 i had the same problem but its just crazy it use to work now it doesnt and i want to play day z again but this whole addons or files getting me kicked from servers everytime is driving me insane plz help! i have tried so much like delete exile folder or addons folder in exile or even just disabled all addons then turn them on slowly or let my a3launcher do it for me but still i got nothing T.T
  18. SO essentially I'm trying to write a script which will let players booby trap an unlocked vehicle and the layout of it so far is this. Check if the vehicle is unlock, if it is then run the plant script, else end with "Cannot booby trap this vehicle." All i want to know is how or where i can find out how to write the first part which checks if the target vehicle (cursorTarget or something like that) is locked or not. Thanks :D
  19. Hey guys new here been playing epoch for years but finally a few guys and I from work decided to get a server. We now know we aren't ready for one because we don't know how to bloody edit anything, looked everywhere on basics couldn't find anything. So before we shutdown what we have started is there any where we can get dirt basic tutorials on how to add and edit scripts plus where to find these... We want to have better spawn rates, different vehicles, different guns, configurable survivor/zombie spawn rates and have a custom hud maybe even a custom spawn area where you can choose a load out and destination? Any help is good help cheers!

Right the problem is all the crap vehicles, barricades, and so on all over the the chernarus map that rocket has put in. I have tried to do killzone kids mod by adding … with 1 line of code! Yes that’s right, you can do it with 1 line, but lets make it 3 so it looks good. Step 1 Open up your Chernarus mission .pbo which is in MPMissions folder on your server. EDIT: After some testing it has been confirmed, everything extra Rocket put on Chernarus is removed including some of the camps he built like around Balota, etc. So potentially you are going to lose some loot spawn points, but on the bright side, you can now build your own camp sites using mission editor instead.
