    good evening all, Once again i am in a pickle, I am setting up a new server, I am wondering how to set up custom load outs AND how to edit players loadouts that already have items. Thanks in advance
  2. A couple of questions.

    Hi! I'm relatively new to this but I know how to edit the various files on my server and pack/unpack PBO's. I've just bought a Epoch-server and I've already set it up with status bar, ATMs and HS-dealers/blackmarkets. I've tried searching through the forums, but there is a couple of things I so far could not find a decent and concrete solution to: - functioning Safe Zone script with both vehicle and player protection (in/out notifications would be nice). - respawn loadout (default respawn gear) - Getting the server to lock itself for 5 minutes after restart (for all scripts to load, I think) I'm humbly hoping someone out there can help me with at least ONE of these :)
  3. Crate Trader

    This is my first script so i am asking the smart guys for some assistance. I know that there is an option to merge all scripts and call each single one with a switch do function but i wasn`t able to get it working. I would highly appreciate it if somebody could point me into right direction. I just started with this whole scripting stuff and what i found out so far is that i dont know nothing. Now i have even more respect for the real coders. As said, this is my first script and i am sure there are much better options out there and once i got more knowledge i think i will be able to release better ones. Feel free to use and to modify this work but please don`t remove the credits. Thank you. By adding these files to your server in each spawn zone (East/Central/West) on Altis there will be an A.I. unit. This A.I. offers medical treatment and from this A.I. you can buy crates with different loadouts. Once purchased the crate will spawn in front of you. You can buy as many crates as you want as long you have enough Krypto. In each script you can change the content and the prices to you liking. Two options to install the script: 1.) Unpack your mission and copy the \CrateTrader folder into your mission root.Then copy your unpacked mission to: C:\Users\Yourusername\Arma3\Missions Start your arma and go to the editor. Choose Altis map and load your epoch mission.   4. I have a script that gives different default loadout based on whether you are a regular player or an admin. Or so it should... I had it working fine on a Nitrado server a few days back, but now when I try to implement it on a Vilayer server, it doesn't seem to work properly. I also get the error "No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgMagazines.'." whenever I spawn, and prior to that, I get the male/female selector every time. That's not right, is it? Like I said, it was working on Nitrado, but maybe I need to pay attention to something on Vilayer? And what does that CfgMagazine-thing mean? Am I trying to spawn something "wrong" to admins, and thus reverting to the regular loadout? Also, I am aware that <MY_PLAYER_ID> is stated twice, and that's deliberate. According to the forum I found this, you need to specify at least 2 admins for it to work, and I have tried both 00000000000000000 and my player ID repeated, but the outcome is the same. Can anyone spot the error, or recommend a better script than this? Thank you ;)
  5. Custom loadouts + playstyle

    How do you guys feel about joining a server where you can just buy krypto + base parts? I can't imagine myself playing on such a server where you can just donate for everything you ever wanted. I feel like it takes away from any type of core game-play survival has to offer, and where are the official servers? If these servers need money so bad, why not make a starter load out with a pistol+all the tools?
  6. Giving random loadout

    We run a loadout script on the server, but for some reason, players have an 50% chance of getting the winchester loadout when they spawn, even though their ID is not linked to it. All the other players receive their custom loadouts fine. The default loadout also works half the time.   7. Hello guys.... I have try´ed to find out how the hell i can make a custom loadout to dayz.st epoch.... But every time i make it inside the inti.sqf, it´s not working. i dont get the stuff when i respawn. Please help me with it
  8. Loadout+ Status: Release Hi, so this is my first ever addon for dayz. I believe it works with vanilla, Epoch and Overpoch + other maps. Basically this adds options for loadouts. Like you can customize loadouts for donators, admins, moderators, or have random loadouts for everyone. (Note* The loadouts are not "random" you can make different kind of loadouts and the script selects 1 to spawn with.) To install, drag the zip file's content to your custom folder in your mission.pbo. If you don't have a custom folder, make one.   9. In Search of a Random Loadout Script...

    Hey all, Ive been interested in finding a script that would randomize your starting loadout for some time now with no success. Im obviously using the server_playerlogin.sqf to define the starting gear. Can anyone help me out here? I can't find anything newer than 2013 when the instance table still worked for defining loadouts. Side note, Im running overwatch not epoch if that even matters.

    Hey! I'm currently having a problem on my server where as a few of my custom load out sets have stopped working (unknown reason). Unfortunately the only backup of the mission.pbo which I have is recent and includes the problem!     Hi: Today I updated my DayZ Epoch Chernarus Private Server but I haven't been able to find the Initial Custom Loadout definition: I've been searching around init.sqf but I haven't been able to find where that is. Has it been removed? Regards.

I am running a server perfectly fine, settings are somewhat how I want (still lacking documentation on a lot of settings though), and I would like to run the ACRE mod alongside Epoch and I am willing to go through the process of adding the radios to loot spawns in places like military buildings, firehouses, military vehicles. And perhaps starting the player off with a short range radio by default. How could I go about doing this?
