I am pulling out of Arma Dayz.... so I have attached the server files for both my Arma2 Devils Playground servers with some very unique and custom scrips. over 2,500 hours of work and 8 years of experience. Features list of both servers: can be seen on Discord https://discord.gg/rJqwb8B Cherno: - A Standalone mixed with vanilla feel - No air vehicles at all and no armed military except 2 which are rare mission only finds - No humanity, everyone gets XP - 125XP for a player kill (if you kill the same player twice you get 120XP) - 25XP for any AI - 2XP for a zombie - 15XP if you bury a body - 10XP if you cut up a body - Building limits are based on XP, the more XP you have the more building parts you can have - Base building will take time so the following is normally how you would do it - Big tents that you can walk in, these will be lockable and will need blowing open and can have trees planted round them to hide - Wood will be the 2nd tier of base, this is because it will take you a while to afford the locks, so starting with a tent first is sensible - Cinder, you will need to buy iron ore, then break this into stone, then take the stone to the Manufacturing Facility to turn into Cinder (dangerous) - Central Trader City with 7 vendors, 6 people & 1 vending machine (this is the only safe zone on the map) - 4 Tier weapon loot - Very Low: Military containers - Low: Military barracks with green doors - Medium: Military barracks with the door at the front and each room doored off - High: Military tents that have a single entrance - Very high: Military tents that have entrance at either end (only found at Skalisty) - Weapon loot gets higher as you move inland and are colour coded via markers - There are no Anzios, rocket launchers... Again, a more real world feel - Missions have all been reworked - All missions are neutral, meaning not hero or bandit, you get XP so you can do any mission - There are three main mission with 1 always being Skalisty - There are a number of vehicles driving round the map, some armed. and a heli flying about - Some AI have cash some dont - There is no bank. You will see a money bag on your hud, thats how much you have on you.   3. Hi guys, I decided to make my Overpoch Skin chaning public. ( Screenshots on bottom) UPDATED to 3.0 ( CLEAN AND EFFECTIVE) Uses my defines from all my mods now. I release a version for Epoch and Overpoch. The scripts let u right click a clothing and give u a dialog to choose serveral linked skins to that specific skin. It shows you every possible skin you can have with your current inventory. No more trader needed. Make it harder to find a skin! You can change skin even when you are wearing a overwatch or arma skin! It also allows you to pickup skins! For advanced user: This was created after a lot of searching and at least 100 different ways of trial and error. It's unbelievably simple and I'm sure someone has posted this before but I hope it helps. Features: No noticeable server startup lag. Easy to install. Works on the fly for purchased vehicles. Works for dynamic vehicles. Works on server restarts. Tested with 7 custom vehicle skins setup on traders and dynamic, worked flawlessly and tested restarts too. Ability to edit sqf files PBO Manager Notepad++ Installation Step 1. Get some custom textures and put them in your mission folder somewhere. Write down the folder structure for future use. For my example textures are in the custom folder in my mission file. Step 2. Unpack your dayz_server pbo Step 3. open these three files: server_publishVehicle2.sqf, server_publishVehicle3.sqf, and server_monitor.sqf Step 4. In your server_monitor.sqf find this: _lockable = 0; if(isNumber (configFile >> "CfgVehicles" >> _type >> "lockable")) then { And ABOVE it put this if (_type == "SUV_TK_CIV_EP1") then {_object setVehicleInit 'this setObjectTexture [0, ''custom\SUV.jpg''];';}; Change the Vehicle Classname and the texture pathing for your texture and vehicle. Seems like the vehicles spawn right next to the trader that sells vehicles wondering how on earth do I move them!   8. I setup a new EPOCH 1.0.5.1 ARMA 2 server using this guide: Arguably the best guide I have seen to date explaining pretty much everything to get it actually operational. Mine is actually running, but I have (so far) 2 issues: 1. How do I get to 1.0.6? 2. The server is having trouble consistently writing to the DB and I cant find any real issues stemming from an issue with the DB... I setup a new EPOCH 1.0.4 ARMA 3 server using this guide: and "out of the box" it runs, but thats about it. I fresh spawn everytime and Im not sure where to modify the profiles so that you can be 3rd person and have a weapon crosshair. When I fresh spawn it looks like you are spawned beneath the world and you cannot see anyone else who spawns. I dont see any zombies, loot drops or vehicles. So with ARMA 3 EPOCH, I need a few more pointers on what I need to do to get this playable. I think it may be due to the fact that theres no DB. Still working on this as well. Id like to add that the linux game server manager web site is pretty decent at insatlling an arma3 server. My problem with that is trying to get Exile or Epoch running on it. Any ideas there would be GREAT! I would appreciate ANY help and I have a Teamspeak server if you would like to talk voice to help me in real time. Please PM me for details. Thanks! DEATH

  12. I had no problems playing on a server until a bandit killed me (AI), my screen turned grey. None of button worked since then in game, not even Alt + Tab. Whenever I join the server my screen for 1s gets back to the place I was killed and turns grey again. Please help.

  14. I would like to hear which editors you guys use. I started out with Notepad++ when i started coding for arma related stuff. Mainly because of the SQF highlight syntax of a community member. Later i switched to Sublime Text 2 because it was on the hype train. Better design than Notepad++. SQF syntax highlighting by a community member. ( Sublime 3 is payed, so future doesn't look bright for free edition.) Today i switched to Atom. It looks very promissing. You can download my Arma syntax package in the Settings section. Looks very customisable since it's open code. https://atom.io/ For me git integration is really important. And that is where sublime fails for me. Atom is going in good direction with that.   16. Hello EpochMod community! I am in need of some pointers/help with my ArmA 3 Epoch server. I am used to the EASE of the arma 2 scripting and I am COMPLETELY lost in the ArmA 3 files.....Anyone able to help would be greatly appreciated. Mods I.e. SEM, earplugs, HUD, heck even getting the admin menu to work is hard because the FTP is confusing me so much. Thanks for looking!

  18. Hello guys, sry for my bad english, but I'm from Germany. I created a "Spawn Dialog" where you can choose your own spawn location, but after 1 minute the server port you to the Debug Box. I think it's a cheat protection. How I can turn it off? I hope you can help me. Greez Noldy

  21. Hi Guys, So Yesterday I tried to play some Epoch on Arma 3 and was getting crashes every 2-8 minutes randomly. The crash occurred really at random stages no matter what I was doing. What I have done to resolve the issue: Removed whole ARMA 3 content along with all it's mods and cache (including Documents settings). Added a launch parameter: -malloc (didn't help). Checked nVidia Drivers - all up to date with Recommended ones installed Verified Game through Steam Launching game from : Arma 3 Launcher software Tried both versions of Epoch (the old one and the new one "RC") both crashing. Any ideas? Thanks!
  22. I would to start with thanking the dev's for making such an awesome mod that is so enjoyable. Oke so my thought so far is that the mod is very playable and alot of fun to play but the things i miss are the AI mission that you had on arma 2 epoch mod. The shipping container and epicenters are good idea's but it would be fun if the AI where atleast defending it or patrolling in the area so a fresh spawn can't just randomly walk towards a shipping container and loot it. Its a survival mod and it should be a challange, the only threats are the other players at the moment. I don't know the whole story about the mod, only what is provided to me on the epochmod front page. But their was a mass extinction of billions of people, and its happening around 2035 so i would love to see new techno guns or new stuff like the multi gun. The epochmod at the moment for me feels like its alot of fun to play but after 1 month of playing on them i found that you have alot of people who just like to ruin all your hard work that you have earned. I play in a group of 3 and we had a small base setup somewhere with alot of different equipement, we could've atleast survived for days over there and then the next day you come home from work and then you see that all your shit has been taken away by people who glitched inside your base. So what are your thoughts so far on the epochmod.
  23. So either this is a whole system set up on plain white paper with black rules that dictate how things go, or DayZ and all Mods just like epoch were made by a flexible and helping community... What is a community driven mod if it isn't created, changed and reinvented by the users? How did epoch start? How did DayZ start? With people who had a great idea, now nobody can tell me that these were created without the donations and help of the community, yet they still do not allow donations to flow into the servers hosting their mod/game? Even if Bohemia or any other big company that was part of Arma 2 OA wouldn't allow this, I would still ask the same question. Why do you think that it is a issue? I believe it is the greed behind those people, the greed of keeping any profits "made by them". I am sorry for just raging it out there, but how can you have an issue with things that help those who made your product what it is today? Who would play Arma 2 OA without DayZ? 1/3 of the population now? 1/4 of the population? Who would play Epoch or any other mod without the server addons and work done by "us" admins/scripters/the community? So why is it ok to block the help for those? To keep alive what keeps you alive? Are you this greedy to oversee the long term effects? Are you really that greedy to not notice the community had your back, created your "back"? But you still give yourself the position to break the communities joints until the whole community collapses? You are on the wrong path epoch team! I hope you rethink your decisions and if that issue comes from further up like Bohemia, then work on your contracts. Because what ever made and or is the founder of this unbelievable and almost heart breaking issue should start to think clear.
