Cant get into Game - Fresh Server Install - HFB Servers

     Ok so I have been laboring over this for days, and having Googled it relentlessly as well as entered support tickets, I have not been able to find a resolution.  Please help me.

 

     In order to properly troubleshoot this, I have uninstalled everything that I had installed: BEC and DayZ Epoch Chernarus Private.  Here is what I know:

• The server appears in DayZ Commander with a proper title
• The only changes I have made to ANY config files is to set the admin and rcon passwords, as well as the server name.
• When attempting to join the server, I get one of two things:
  • A black screen with 'Wait for Host'
  • A screen that offers an admin login with a large window on the right labeled `missions`.  There are several buttoins here, such as 'play mission'.
    • None of the buttons on this screen do anything
  • The game lobby, without the ability to enter the game
    • Clicking 'connect' starts the mission file download and it either:
      • Never finishes downloading,or:
      • Sits there at 0% of 0%
    • Clicking the other buttons does nothing

     I have managed to enter the server after installing the wasteland mission, but not with Epoch.

 

     Can anyone tell me what I can do to resolve this - or at least get me on the right track to troubleshooting it?

Ok so I am getting to the screen that has these options:

Units

• Shows me in the list

Players

• Also shows me in the list

Server Control

• Goes to 'Dedicated Server Control', where there is a:
  • Password Field
    • Does nothing
  • Play Mission Button
    • Does nothing
  • Vote Kick button
    • Does nothing
  • Vote Admin button
    • Does nothing
  • Reassign button
    • Does nothing
  • Restart Button
    • Does nothing
  • Missions Button
    • Does nothing
  • Close Button
    • Takes me back to the previous screen

 

    I also forgot to mention earlier that itisboth myself and a friend that are having this same issue.

Sounds like your mission file is not set up correctly.

Fair enough - this has crossed my mind, but there are several places among the files where mission files are located - any idea which itmight be?

In your config file make sure its reading the right file

 

class Missions

{

    class Mission1

    {

    template = "DayZ_Epoch_24.Napf";

    difficulty="veteran";

    };

 

};

 

So in your missions folder it will be reading a pbo called DayZ_Epoch_24.Napf

     Thank you for your help - it turned out to be a connection issue with the database.  This issue is resolved, though I am having another now.  I will start another thread for that one.

Doesnt work for me. I am wondering if have to do custom mod 1 and wondering if the class name for it will be Mission1. Thats were im haven the problem I am also using a hfb server. Any help to get Napf working would be greatly apretiated.

I have a epoch testing server. Can anyone tell me where to get the napf files? I need to set up a testing server for that one also.
