    I've edited the loot table on our server. I assume the server owner had an updated file, which contained ghillie suits from the DLC but not the vests. I'd have to assume in this case they decided they were too good, rather than overlooking them. But then again, they updated the zafir ammo classname but overlooked the rahim ammo classname. If someone knows the best way to let them know this please do so.

    Hello,
     
    Epoch 3 has still the same issue like Epoch 2, that the building parts snap to a 10cm grid at server restart, when building at areas that are more than 10000m away from map center. (Note: Y-database-coordinate does not matche the ingame map).
     
    The cause is, that in the database the coordinates are stored with 6 digits. For example 9424.68/2156.76 (m). Or another example 1243.57/536.567.
     
    The problem is, when you build more than 10km away from the database coordinate center, it only save 15365.2/21564.5 (m). With that alle objects snap to a 10cm grid on the next restart of the server.
     
     
    Is there a good cause that the system is not using at least 7 digits?
     
     
    In Epoch2 there was a server side script, that fixed the issue, by converting the coordinates to a string before putting them into the database:

     
    Maybe that format would be an option, if there is a hardcoded limit to 6 digits. However, I dont know how big the performance impact is.
     
    But it would be nice to finally eleminate the "Snap to 10cm" problem.

    No video games are violent under this definition. Hence, I do not play "violent" video games.

    I noticed the same thing. Also, before I used to be able to press "F" to see my current ammo count, as the weapon info box fades away after a bit, but now I can't see my ammo count by pressing "F".

    Nah we already have a game which went "less military feel" and it is DayZ SA. Epoch should stay military focused with some random monsters. I'd call it military horror. Like in Dog Soldiers.

    Too many servers for 400-500 players of Arma 3 Epoch. If those serves were "public" so to speak where you jump from another and can transfer your gear it would be easier to populate them. Now they are all private shards. If you get gear in one server you will have to start from scratch in another so you will stay in your first server, especially if it has some nicer features.
     
    Also everybody wants to be an admin in a server, so that's that. I think it is one of the reasons there are so much servers. The mod is great, it is not obscure enough to justify such low player base. Yeah it is less finished than A2 Epoch (never played, saw only videos) but it is much more beautiful and much more interesting, as Chernarus - I can vomit by even hearing its name). Altis is 100 times more polished map than A2 Chernarus. But that's just my opinion. I used to hate Altis and still do sometimes, but a lot less than before.
     
    So yeah, everyone wants to be an admin in their server so they never collaborate with other likeminded people. Everybody thinks they have the best vision of what Epoch should be, they are better scripters, have better sense of what is just fair or bad, what is ok to do and not to do etc. etc.
     
    So you get a couple of servers which are half full all the time, because people love PvP aspect in Epoch (I personally not very much) and there are tons of 5-20 people servers with hardcore players who invested time in them and just having fun with their friends etc and there are third group - servers with only admins playing. I do not go to those and I am glad I figured it out fast enough which one is which.
     
    If you are an admin, think like this: why would you play on this or that server? There are TONS of them. Why should people play on your server and start from scratch again? There are hundreds of admins with the same problem. And it is because there are too much damn servers and too little people play Epoch in A3. You can't go from server to server, you have to STAY and play in it if you want fun, build a base, or raid a base or jsut do AI mission whatever. The only way currently such admins can "populate" their servers is if they had 20-30 friends playing in it 24/7 or at least in peak hours. Otherwise, it is just another server with an admin online.

    We have it on the server. It is ok but I want something that is city based and makes the player move about. The cap points has its place but it can be a lot like fishing. 
     
    If you have ever gone into a Max Loot server you will see the PVP get really going but players don't move on from spawn areas much. I'd like to have that kind of play in one city and have the whole server want to come to that one city. I don't want the whole server to be a loot feast tho.

    My crew and I have tried the "co-pilot" theory. It makes no difference. The helis still explode.
    We have tried repair kits, multitool repairs makes no difference.
    We have even tried first aid kits, moist wipes etc.. so that we are not damaged/soiled or toxic when entering the helis, makes no difference.

    OP, I have a patented temporary fix for this problem, and I named it "get in as co-pilot and take over controls" or in short GIACATOC. This fix does not support hellcat though, so avoid that helicopter. So far I had 100 percent success rate. As long as you fly your helis as co-pilot, they won't explode. Cheers.
