NoxSicarius Posted April 17, 2014 Author Report Share Posted April 17, 2014 Sup guys I have everything installed correctly but when I join my server and hit connect it gives me a black screen with a full loading bar at the bottom and starts counting to 120 when it gets to 120 it kicks me to the lobby and says disconnect try again. Also when I have the black screen I can hear everything around me. Any help would be appreiciated thanks. Did you try what I posted to you earlier? These safezones (including the new one you can make with the tool) REMOVE your god mode. I am going to make a way to revert this problem into the next build by readding god mode every few minutes. I don't want to do it every few seconds because it will eventually cause a desync or severe lag. I am thinking every 2 minutes or so. This will greatly reduce the problem, but not remove it entirely. I have been trying to find a way to negate this for the admins only, but it is proving to be more of a problem. To get it to disregard admins who have admin mode I will have to restructure parts of the tool. I will look into these today and get a fix up soon. I didn't change god mode so I don't really know what is going on with that and the menu was completely reverted to the old version so there should not be any hitches with it like on my test build. To rule out any corruption how did you update your files? I have explicit instructions in the readme on how to do it correctly to avoid corruption and cross contamination of files. I found that many people were having trouble simply because files were corrupt when they updated. Naw, no safe zone stuff, I won't take damage but I end up bleeding, I don't remember losing blood. AI, player, falling, zombie.... I'm gonna pull up the game and crash a few choppers. See what happens on my end. Ok nox still have the black screen thing even with ur PBO? Any suggestions?? That means the problem is in the missions file. I can set one up for you in a bit or you can try to redo yours. It will take me a bit to get it up though. Sometimes I must suicide, log off, log back in, or even server restart before I get it off. I've spent 4 days researching on my own to solve the issue and I've come up with nothing that could point to the fix. NoxSicarius Posted April 17, 2014 Author Report Share Posted April 17, 2014 Hi Nox found a couple of bugs - the modmode.sqf has the wrong file locations, you have not updated them to point to your new folder set-up. and the menu is still unreliable, took me 3 attempts to get the menu up yesterday, was frustrating logging out completely 3 times in a row. Thanks again!! modMode problems are now fixed I am unable to reproduce the menu problems you are having. The only difference between the new update and the old update in the admin menu starter is one line, which is the new number keys macro. I think you have a different mod interfering with it. I had a similar problem with blood bag overwriting my admin tools before. Also created a custom actions menu with some neat tools for the players and that overwrote admin tools for a while too. I will try your suggestion and report back. The problem is you were not supposed to add it to the bottom. You were supposed to replace an existing line with that code. Also if that does not entirely fix it I think your custom actions menu is overwriting the admin tools. You can fix that by using this init.sqf instead. This is only if the other fix I gave you does not work. I didn't realize you had that action menu until now. Also that the antihack exception may have been done incorrectly. Redo the part with the antihack and see if that fixes it. If not then it is caused by the missing server files and you will most likely have to get a new server pbo. Actually in the original file antihack was not there, I thought it was strange for it not to be there and with my limited understanding thought it could be a problem... but this is how my host set things up. Do you have a different antihack or something? Not having an antihack at all is a really stupid way for a hosting company to run servers. If you remove the antihack code and keep [] execVM "admintools\AdminList.sqf"; It should work.
