Trying to start a server on a new dedicated box. However it does not show up in the server list

Hello, 

 

I have work though 2 different tutorials one on this Epoch forms () which helped a lot. However when i start the server it runs and just waits for someone to start the mission. But nobody can get into the server.

 

I am trying lots of different ways to try and join like using the port, or even if it is filtering the name. However the server does not show on the server list on Arma 2 OA and on Dayz Command or Play withSix.

 

Hopefully someone can help and find a problem what i have not seen.

Are you able to join it directly using the ip/port? If not it could be a firewall blocking it

Like mathewjknott said make sure all your ports in your firewall are open/forwarded and make sure if you have your server run through a router and or modem to get internet that the ports are forwarded there also,and make sure in your config that has your server name in it that the reporting ip is set to master.gamespy.com I had this problem in my early dayz of setting up a server.

 

I think the required ports are,

2300-2400 UDP & TCP both incoming and outgoing

3306  UDP & TCP both incoming and outgoing

and i think thats it

If you are using a dedi with windows server you shouldnt have that problem you should be fine but if not you need to open all the ports needed..

 

2302 UDP

2303 UDP

2305 UDP

Thank you all for giving me help i have just fix it by bring the firewalls down and opening the ports.

Bro just fix the ports and allow arma 2 oa through do not turn off your firewall trust me not a good idea
