    This happened to me, i had to play around with my video settings.  Chances are if you DID modify them for performance, they are wrong.  Screenshot your current settings, then go to defaults and mess around with the post process setting and resolution.  The "resolution" needs to be different than the (i think its the "3d resolution")  Been a while since i've been in the settings menu...working could be off a bit lol.  Let me know if you cant figure it out and ill check my settings when i get back

    That's an Arma 3 update with Advanced Flight Dynamics - more realistic flight controls.

    You can disable them with these settings in your servers config.cfg:

    forceRotorLibSimulation = 0; Enforces the Advanced Flight Model on the server. Default = 0 (up to the player). 1 - forced AFM, 2 - forced SFM.

    Dead on man. I have my own Overpoch Server and its been a hassle, not just the people who want to be helped when it's their own stupidity that got them there but also those that can't get enough help. Im torn apart around this whole discussion...I want the best gameplay on my server (complete custom map to shift gameplay etc.) but they just cant get enough...Million custom things on a map and I get people who come on and leave after 10min because there is no coin system and they don't want to carry their money?! Like really?! Where did this community end up? How can you really set standards like this playing a survival game? Where are all the OG Arma and OG DayZ Mod players?!

    It's things I don't and will never understand. The missing appreciation of the long and hard work that goes into making a server (for some a bit more, for some a bit less) will always be there, people don't understand the real game anymore because of the media sending them into a "KILL" "DESTROY" "TROLL (because its apparently so funny)" "LEAVE" type trance.

    If even half the people that watch FrankieonPCin1080p would behave like him or even close we would be getting much better gameplay...Just saying.
    But instead the people who watch "DayZ Troll lololololol" "NEW DAYZ HACK" "HOW TO WIPE MY ASS" are the ones we are getting at the most part.

    Now don't get me completely wrong on this, I have just pointed out some bad people from the past time, we do have a great community that plays fair and fun!

    But like I said those only fill up 6-8slots and this server needs more people.

    Anyways Im happy I could share my concerns with others! Have a good day!

    Best regards,
    Blite

    1. Spelling is WTF?!
    2. Is it that difficult and hard to carry your money? (I doubt they ever made more than a brief)

    That's up to you; personally I don't give out rcon or any admin access but myself and the co-founder of our clan.

    It's good that they keep an eye on chat through rcon but they're currently not an asset to your server. Though it's risky keeping those two as admins as they could damage your servers reputation in your absense.

    You mention having the anti-cheat protection; which is good. Though do they also have access to the extra tools that come with it? Personally I hate those except for the 'anti-cheat' part, I've had it on my servers but never gave myself access to the extra tools as it will ruin not only the gameplay for you, but also for your players.

    For example; building that huge admin base with tools? Might be fun for a day or two and you might feel 'safe' and possibly you feel that you earned it for hosting the server. But I can tell you; it gets old after a while. And being labled as an 'abusive' admin is the last thing you want, if you want to keep/expand your playerbase.

    It's YOUR job, as a server-owner, to provide a healthy and fun environment for your players. So unless they're active in your server and helping you to provide that environment for your players, I wouldn't keep them as admins when inactive; it can be a huge risk for your players.

    But that's just my 2cents.

    If you have any more questions; feel free to pm me.

    You have to do that in both files, even though it looks OK in the editor afterwards; it will often make buildings float once you got it uploaded to your server. Very unreliable.

    I'd recommend to build at flat surface areas, and save after placing an item, when you load it back in; it might have moved, set it back and save again; it should now stay the way you want it. The chances of it shifting position on flat surfaces are very slim.

    Hey Survivors,

    i started this new Thread for the Mod so it's easier for players to find it and for me to support it!
    This will also stop the confusion with the mod when you use Maca's or mine and have problems with it.

    I got Maca's permission to do it and ALL credits for the idea and the first coding goes to Maca!
    Thanks again Maca for this amazing idea/script!

    Ok here we go...

    This Mod adds a "Toggle Snapping" function to these Epoch Buildable objects:
    MetalFloor_DZ WoodFloor_DZ CinderWall_DZ CinderWallDoorway_DZ CinderWallDoorLocked_DZ CinderWallDoor_DZ CinderWallSmallDoorway_DZ CinderWallDoorSmallLocked_DZ CinderWallHalf_DZ CinderWallDoorSmall_DZ WoodLargeWall_DZ Land_DZE_LargeWoodDoor WoodLargeWallWin_DZ WoodLargeWallDoor_DZ Land_DZE_GarageWoodDoor Land_DZE_GarageWoodDoorLocked Land_DZE_LargeWoodDoorLocked WoodSmallWallThird_DZ WoodSmallWallDoor_DZ WoodSmallWall_DZ WoodSmallWallWin_DZ Land_DZE_WoodDoor Land_DZE_WoodDoorLocked Sandbag1_DZ MetalPanel_DZ Fence_corrugated_DZ StickFence_DZ Land_HBarrier1_DZ Land_HBarrier3_DZ Land_HBarrier5_DZ Fort_RazorWire Objects can be snapped to another object of the same type like:
    Metal_Floor_DZ <-> Metal_Floor_DZ
    Sandbag1_DZ <-> Sandbag1_DZ

    or any Wall combination if its the same Material like:
    WoodSmallWall_DZ <-> WoodSmallWall_DZ
    WoodSmallWall_DZ <-> WoodSmallWallWin_DZ
    CinderWallHalf_DZ <-> CinderWallHalf_DZ
    CinderWallHalf_DZ <-> CinderWallDoorway_DZ

    When you start building a new object you will get a "Toggle Snapping" option if the object is supported.
    Hit it to activate the snapping.

    Distance between the two objects has to be lower then 1.5m.
    So move your object to almost same height and next to one side, near the top or near the bottom of the object you want to snap it to.
    SNAP!
    This allows you to build a Floor or a Wall on the same height in a perfect line.

    It is also possible to make perfect 90° angles with it, for this you also have to bring the object almost in the desired angle to the other object and it will snap to it.

    So What makes this version "Extended"?

    Well...
    Snapping will work on more then one  Floor Snapping will work while building over Water Snapping a object on Top/Bottom of eachother Snapping with set rotation (for set Door open directions) More objects supported Code for finding snap points redone Demo Video:

    call compile preprocessFileLineNumbers "\z\addons\dayz_code\init\compiles.sqf"; and add this line RIGHT BELOW it:
    call compile preprocessFileLineNumbers "custom\snap_build\compiles.sqf"; so it will look like:

    Open MPMissions\YOURMISSIONNAME\description.ext
    Add this line to the VERY BOTTOM of it! (Yeah this means AFTER the last closing bracket!)
    It has to be the VERY LAST LINE of the File!

    #include "custom\snap_build\points.hpp" 6.
    repbo MPMissions\YOURMISSIONNAME\ - upaload - reload - snap - smile!

    I hope i could clarify the !IMPORTANCE! that you copy the lines i mentioned to the VERY BOTTOM!

    Infinity got a reaction from Friendly in Infinicity - Chernarus map addition - wood industry city
    Hi there,

    This is my first ever upload; so please be gentle on me ^_^
    As I was not very original with giving this an awesome name; I made a joke on my server about calling it 'Infinicity' and people actually liked it so I thought 'what the heck' :D

    History of Infinicity

    In the early 1950's (Or whatever year DayZ Epoch is on) a group of men traveled up North of Chernarus to find a place to settle down, a place that would provide them with all the basics elements for them
    to survive. The men finally set foot on 020-036 and found enough trees to build a shelter, a house to keep their family warm in days of winter. A lake that would provide them with fish, water for them to drink and of course to go skinning dipping in the hot summers!

    As the years went by; more travelers came to this place to join the ever growing wood industry city that is now called Infinicity. Soon they build themselves a school, to provide the kids with education. A supermarket to keep their wifes busy. A fuelstation just outside the city, a firestation, 2 construction site buildings and for the poor students; Not 1, not 2 but 3 apartment buildings. And a church for those who believe in higher spirits.

    BUT, all of this went to waste when the infection spread in the 1970's (Or whatever year the Infection spread out), causing everyone to die a slow and painful death; and return from the death to haunt those who survived the infection. Rumour goes that once you enter the city for the first time that you can still hear the men, women and children screaming in the far distance.

    And ........ back to 2014....

    I created this city because there wasn't much to loot close to the north-west corner of the map, this gives people some motivation to head up north to get supplies. I received quite a few positive feedbacks from my players about this city that I decided to release it to public.

    My intention was to create a city that wasn't a copy/paste job, minimum file size, some background story, not an OP lootable city but gives just enough reasons for people to travel to this city and as you can see; the city has lights for servers with night-time.

    As I load this in serverside; here's a small guide on how to install it.

    Step 1; Save the file into a folder called 'buildings' inside your main directory of your server.pbo
    Step 2; Add this line; call compile preProcessFileLineNumbers "\z\addons\dayz_server\buildings\Infinicity.sqf"; at the BOTTOM of your server_functions.sqf file located inside your server.pbo in the init folder.
    Step 3; Restart the server and check out your brand new custom city - Infinicity.

    Let me know if you have suggestions, questions or anything else to kindly bother me with; glad to help out my fellow server owners. DayZ Epoch FTW. :wub: :P

    I'd kill for a new addition to the vehicle spawning system, could you please add something like this to ENHANCE the dynamic vehicle spawn-system?

    DZE_helicopters_min
    DZE_helicopters_max
    DZE_cars_min
    DZE_cars_max
    DZE_planes_min
    DZE_planes_max
    DZE_coastspawn_min  (Vehicles that spawn near the coast line)
    DZE_coastspawn_max (Vehicles that spawn near the coast line)

    To allow us to set up vehicles a little .. because as it is now;(for example) if I spawn in 1000 vehicles now; there will be plenty of helicopters and planes to find but after a week or so; the plentora of helicopters and planes will be gone (sold by people/crashed) since the dynamic spawn system
    spawns more cars in return rather than keeping it balanced. So by the end of the month; the server will be filled with cars and helicopters/planes will be close to non-excistance. And also 9 out of 10 times; vehicles don't spawn at the coast that often; had a lot of people quit the server at the end of the month simply because there was no transportation.

    With my suggestion I truely believe that it would allow us (the server owners) to keep a perfect balance of vehicles being spawned to suit our own needs/wishes.
