    Hey, "FingersCrossed" here,
     
    since our base got destroyed over night when we were all offline, by some people who used duped explosiv's in combination with the "flying carpet" i wanted to share some pictures with you,  of our base when it was fine + an overall feedback.
     

     

     

     

     
    Week's ago a good friend of mine and myself started to play on mgt, within the first week we figured playing as 2 people is very rough, so we got some allies, wich ended up in having a group of
    15 people, with about 10 people beeing online everyday, just as a reference how such a base can even exist with legitimate methodes.
     
    Since there is already enough "talk" about explosiv's and base destructions in this forum, i'll leave this out.
     
    All i really want to say is a big "Thank You"  towards the dev's of this mod, i havent had such a good time in a game for a long time, and of course mgt for providing such an amazing support,
    especially our beloved Daz, Wookie, and even DB the freaking owner himself, helped people of our team out with small issues when he was arround.
     
    Becaue of that im doing a 25$ donation towards mgt and a 25$ donation towards the arma 3 epoch team, just as an appreciation for the good time we are all having playing this masterpiece.
    Get yourself some icecream you earnd it.
     
     
    Before i forget ...
     
    For all those people i read here on a daily, complaining about how shit everything is ( hi dm ), getting no support and whatnot.
    From the bottom of my heart ... please ... please go and f*** yourself, it's an alpha.

    No. We're actually fixing the problem with collision in the basebuilding objects, not a scripted workaround.
    Changes in the source P3ds from static and simulated variants.

    I think that Namindu want to say is: Oh god! what the hell you doing!!! How you can fix the base glitching! now my life has no sense I CAN´T glitch anymore and i try to play like a normal player.

    why would you buy a server to ask for help to run it is what i dont get ?? you wouldnt buy a car if you dont know how to drive its pointless, you pass your test and then buy a car. same as scriping know what your up againsed befor you jump ahead and buy one.
    ive playeddayz and  epoch for since it satrted years back and always read whats new what scripts are out how to add them and even how to host a lan server but already knew that before i read it. google is full of ancers and tutorials and sites like this with an amazing community to guide you along not to feed you with a spoon. if you follow these you have no problem, if you have other scripts this may conflict with x script so make sure you know what you added before it broke, dont chnge on the fly, write a list and do bugfixes, fix these and add new script mabey add a few extras when reading through files within the script.
    you dont read you dont know what your adding. is all i can say ime no pro but can do the basic tasks of fixing whats broke as inside files may be a line you already have called elsewhere. even people syaing did you make this and you say yes and they donate that is wrong and you shouldnt be taking money off people which other people have built for you.

    Yea, that could be easier. I have changed it to a while loop and have been checking around. I have decided to eject the player once the vehicle is dead or destroyed. Thanks for the inputs!

    External sqf files can only be executed server side.
    However, you can create a publicVariable to call an external file via your mission file or your infistar.

    Safety measurements
    Double checks what was deleted from backpacks/vehicles so that people can not cheat. Can only sell from your backpack and the vehicle were u was the last driver from ( in 30m radius)

    In case you have not noticed (http://epochmod.com/servers.php) instead of attempting to babysit our development servers we are working with some known members from the community to get more servers up and running. We simply do not have a server admin team as we are just a development team.

    Arma has so much to offer and is a very flexible and fun game to play and mod. With this flexibility comes insecurity and a dark side.

    Yesterday I spoke with one of the "kids" that have been terrorizing our servers. He is demanding server files in exchange for stopping the attacks. I told him that the server files would have been released to more communities by now if we had something proven stable and secure. Something that this hack-a-thon is stopping us from doing. He offered up one exploit and then immediately started demanding that we give the server files in exchange. He then said that if we did not give them the server files in 24 hours the hacking would continue, and it has.
    Simply put, the current exploit they are using is a fault in ARMA and not an issue with our mod and will ultimately need to be fixed by BI.

    Until this issue is fixed by BI or another fix is found we will no longer be running any public servers. All servers run my me will only be accessible with a password obtained from me or Axle. We will have a few communities that will likely run whitelisted servers so look out for them to pop up on our servers page: http://epochmod.com/servers.php
     
    Now back to developing.

    Richie.. trial and error, man. Don't rush making whole code at once, do it by small bits and build it up slowly. That's the best way to do it while learning. Also make use of debug console, trust me, you will love it (local server ofc, dont use it on live server).
    So... start with simple Event handlers... then try to send a simple variable over and confirm it. Then send another one, but this time add some extra to EH, like... kill a player or teleport yourself 5 meters away. All these little bits that help you understand whats going on. Finally when you get better idea of whats going on, continue with general direction of your script you want to make. 
    And from point of complexity, spoiler alert, it won't be hard, not for this script, but it will definitely be fun experience

    xBowBii or Raymix, can you explin how to get round the TP restrictions again, In nice simple terms please :)
     
    It's all working fine for me but players testing are getting trapped, once they leave the mine they're being sent straight back to where they started.

    To test how hardcore servers respond and iron out any potential bugs that may occur with the different server settings. And to separate the men from the boys :) testing first naturally..
