You ever thought of using something different for the timers? Because this script won't really run on popular/overloaded servers running on low FPS. My server runs on a average of 3 fps with 70 players online. This low fps will immensely slow down the way the timers work. Seconds will actually take longer causing 15 minutes to become 30 minutes. So when putting the initial timer at 40 minutes the entire script won't even run once during a 2 hour runtime of the server. Not sure if anyone with a overloaded server noticed anything like this tho. But it's a very known issue and I was hoping maybe you thought of something that could make these timers more reliable. I tried using serverTime instead of Time but that doesn't really help.
I made a similar script about a year ago but ran into this same problem so I canceled the project (players got a bit mad that they had to survive 40 min instead of 10).
EDIT: I seem to have found a way to introduce reliable timers with the help of a extension.

Interestingly I have a lot more players on my 1.8.1 vanilla server with 0 added mods then any of my epoch servers :)

Vanilla DayZ had the same hit when Overwatch released. But now my vanilla dayz server is the most popular server in the world. Eventually they will come back to where it all started ^^.

In all honesty I am pretty amazed he is still giving it the time of day after all the abuse and flack he gets off noobs that don't have a clue what they are doing with there servers.. Some of the facebook comments are a joke...

I like the updates. DZC did update when neccesary maybe a bit late but just in time to safe my server :D As we noticed DZC now has some issue's with for example favorites and servers not showing. So I'm happy to see he's trying to fix those by pushing updates. Keep it up Josh!

You need to put the version names - (1.0.5.1/125548) for example - in the server title. Since it's been shortened and most had it at the end, it has been cut off.

I (wrongly!) assumed you had some of your community still able to connect to your updated server - if you went from 100% to 0%, well it sure sucks. Good luck with waiting for DotJosh to update. My suggestion would be attempting to rebuild from scratch which you will probably hate hearing so once again, good luck with DotJosh...

I don't know to what extent your admiration/connection to maca134 but his contributions is a bit of a gray area (if you are not maca134 yourself, or an affiliated CCG member you might consider rest of this message objective criticism from someone who both admires his greatest work & dislikes some aspects of his impact as detailed below).
I have played on CCG servers and enjoyed his (and his teams') changes & overall server atmosphere very much. Credits given where due - great work maca134!
 
He is also one of the 3 or so founders of that entity which is the biggest known commercialization of Epoch Mod in the world. Buying success with real $ is not only normal but natural for some - it is clearly a matter of opinion.
I personally dislike it therefore in my eyes, along with his huge contributions he has also done huge damage to the mod & game by running the biggest buy Epoch success shop.
 
Once again this is my opinion which we are all entitled to have and discuss within boundaries of forum etiquette & respect.
Keep in mind that he also has not released his arguably most major modification publicly & freely; which is single currency & banking system - some would think he could have done that just to buy Indulgences from Church of Epoch.

My server is 112555 (http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/37.187.148.217:2337/). I never updated and I'm not planning on it either without DZC. But I really want to update though. This patch is really bad for fps and causes many problems.

Well I guess you can ignore my post. I asked him what the progress was and wether is going to happen tonight or not and he removed me from steam. I'm kinda done with him now. I use to pick his side but now I'm starting to agree with people saying he's being somewhat of a douche. Feels like he is just trying to troll everyone.

Tbh, i'd rather close MGT down than advise my players to use this launcher that actually makes Six look simple to use.
 
1. Servers do not show up in the server listing by default, IIRC you have to register to get it to display
2. It renames your client @DayZ_Epoch folder to @DayZ_Epoch1051
3. Some mods are named incorrectly like Namalsk 1.7.7.1 which is actually 0.75
 
Steer well clear until it's a viable alternative.

A company as large as them probably paid a third party to host their servers. The third party may not know yet that Gamespy closed down, or the servers were purchased for a certain amount of months at a time. When the time runs out they will shut them down, or they may have already run out, and the company is just waiting until a new customer purchases them to wipe them and re-purpose them.

Yes the response you are referring to by awol was a direct response to me in my own thread but that was weeks ago now, since then awol has been showing support for playwithsix. I agree the masses are beyond stupid and ignore admin chat but if the BE shutdown happens before DZC updates players wont have a choice but to switch to something else or not play dayz mod. Also dotjosh has spent 66 hours playing DOTA 2 in the last 2 weeks....without giving anyone any information about the update....If that doesn't tell you an update isn't coming I don't know what will. Now don't get me wrong I loved DZC but if it's creator is willing to just say fuck off like this without even giving the community an official response about it or at least releasing it as open source if hes gonna call it quits so someone else can take over, imo he can go fuck himself.

No I don't host Epoch I just have a regular DayZ server but I came to this forums because it's a lot more active then OpenDayz now a days. I don't think it's related to errors as well. Like I said I haven't changed anything in weeks and this started appearing about 3-4 days ago. It's not that bad, I get like 1-4 complaints per restart. But it's still weird.
