Darth_Rogue
So according to the A3 dev changelogs it appears as though remoteExec and remoteExecCall commands are coming to A3. Seeing as how these commands can allow remote execution of code, we could begin seeing a lot of issues with cheating and exploits. RemoteExec can also be used to introduce server lag through the use of extended sleep calls, among other methods. Yes, there are BE filters to prevent such things, but we all know how well BE actually prevents cheating. It seems as though Arma is banking on the new Active BE protection to be the cure-all to alleviate these worries, but I'm not convinced. What are your thoughts, Epoch devs? vbawol
I will be reviewing this report with 1.46RC and if there are issues we will try to get BI to address them. I am pretty sure that they don't intend on introducing security issues without recourse. Dwarfer and ZENITHOVMAN

Brian Soanes
It's to make life easier for mission makers apparently, the only thing it's doing is handing a golden nuke button to anyone who knows how to use it. Friendly and Dwarfer
Angrygargamel
well.... in all these security risks which are already in the game... one more or less doesnt really count... does it? but you shouldnt bury the body before its dead... so just wait for the release... and see what happens... Richie
It also wasn't meant to be in the RC either, so erm yeah have faith
vbawol
I can confirm that in the current 1,46 RC build either remoteExec command was disabled or it now hopefully obeys the cfgRemoteExecCommands {}; setting. Either way this should not be an issue for 1.46 from what I have seen so far. Will test again should they update the RC. Nemaconz
Good old remoteExec, had a lot of fun with that in Arma 2.
