    As long as building and antagonists improve at steady pace like now, I don't care, they can add even spoons and forks as melee weapons :D Though melee in Arma 3 doesn't make much sense, I think it still is quite fun cosmetic feature, just like those wolf/pumpkin masks (no armor so I never use them). Safe upcoming, new building UI (no idea if I like it but don't care, I can't wait for that stuff). If more people shared their opinions here, even criticism, it would totally be better than just randomly coming over and saying "mod sucks, devs bad, no roadmap" etc. I even think roadmap can only be expected with commercial games, it is hard to have one when it is just a hobby for them. It's not like they come home from work, ignore the families and spend 2-3 hours coding Epoch every day.

    Nancy one of the hardest things in any game where there is a character death is for the devs to balance the mechanic(punishment) for death. Make it too easy and it gets boring quicker for some people, make it too hard and others find it a waste of time. Getting it just right for the target audience is what makes a good game. That being said there are many servers out there with many different set ups that can and do make it easier or harder to get around the map. The basic map is just that basic.. it is left that way for people to mod their servers in a way they and the people they want to attract like to play. Adding every city to the spawn selection would really add unnecessary size to the original download. However if someone wanted to they could add them in and you could download their mission files to play on that server.     Putting you in the city can be done but usually it is set from a marker with a radius of several hundred meters so it is easier for the game to find a safe entry spot (i.e. not in the middle of a wall or tree). I haven't tried the above link so I don't know what the options are but you could look for custom spawn with the launcher's search feature.
    It does sound like you need new friends if they take all the loot and don't include you. If it is a pvp server you could always just kill them and take their stuff, of course they may not want to be friends afterwards.
    Everyone has different time constraints on them so things that take time with no reward such as moving to and from the fun stuff. Others like me view that getting there is also part of the challenge. Make it too easy and I don't enjoy it as much. Again this comes to balance and I think the mods have done a good job here with death as they have left it open for us to choose what we would want instead of dictating it. If you want to stay on your current server but would like changes you would need to talk with whoever runs that server. They may like your ideas or they may not but that is really where you would need to start the spawn selection idea.

    Maca you have done some great stuff .. and sure prob will .continue to do so .. I wish you all could join forces together, but looks as if that bridge burned long ago .. I don't know the story behind all that has happened .just rumor .. and innuendo.. he said she said stuff .. 
    Cant we all just get along .. If I had the skillz to do all you guys do .. my vision for the game .. is a much darker one lol .. more sadistic and evil .. nukes, buildings on fire .. smoke and ash fill the skies ..  half dead mutants wrything hands out .. for a crumb of food . total mayhem .. and you your character .. struggling to survive the clone exterminators .. be they sappers , cultists, ai soldiers etc .. of course much of my vision of what I would like to see .. is most likely not possible within arma 3 .. much is .. many other games yes have gone this route and succeeded..of course these where not multiplayer games such as arma 3 based .. couldn't do such things as crafting  .. not everyone wants a game of .. shooting other players and respawning every to mins .. if I did Id just play cso etc .. that just doesn't seem that much fun .. I like the whole a2/a3 dayz, type thing .. if it hadn't been for Dean Hall .. none of us would be having this conversation ..  its the reason we are all here .. even though it has changed greatly since the early days and weeks of launch of the original mod.. I Just cant stop playing . its becoming the game I always wanted little by little .. in the end .. we all want one thing .. to have fun. If its no longer fun .. the game ends.. we walk away. 

    Im 49 yrs old .. been gaming longer than most that play these have been alive .. I know I am an old fart compared to many on here .. but it supposed to be all about fun .. not a pissing contest, the community of mods, devs,and gamers ..are what make this whole idea great .. free to share, use and modify .. Community !

    The Sappers should never spawn near you, they are designed to sneak up on you though. There is currently a problem with them 'seeing' base parts, which I believe I have a fix for.
    Boss Sappers (the fat boys) are hard to kill but should be rarer. 
    There is a massive amount you can configure, including the traders, check your server PBOs for configs and your mission description.ext. Sorry, am on my phone so can't be more specific, have a look around the forum and the public github. 
    This is an old thread:  http://epochmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/28890-a3-epoch-server-what-can-be-changed/ but does highlight editable configs. Locations may have changed recently so have a dig around your server PBOs. Most antagonist editing is done in description.ext. 
    As you are running your own server take a look at the built in admin tools, part of the AH.

    As a Server Admin, If you have an issue with the item loss due to removals then you can change the items that are returned via the CfgBaseBuilding config removeParts array. This config can be added to your description.ext and will override ours, this is so you can in effect make the base object removal give the exact parts used to craft the item.

    I understand there are certain cases that the move in 3d "Move" option will still be needed so we are not removing it exactly.

    It might be as straight forward as editing all the times you see epoch, to exile but you'll have to wait for a repsonse from Zupa for that, he may not want people to use the script on another mod. Obviously the classnames, coords etc would need editing.
    Its not cool to talk about a rival mod on the EPOCH forum though dude XP

    Exile isn't a rival, it's an alternative, just like Wasteland, KOTH etc
    Having said that, this forum is for Epoch support, Exile have their own so let's keep things on topic :)

    the main sapper does have a routine for avoiding jammers. the boss sapper uses an older version of the sapper brain. when building, watch your back :)
    the reason they walk through walls is due to client agents not being aware of dynamic server objects, is in the to do list. deciding on managing server / client object awareness I still a work in progress as we add more features.
    currently , normal sappers will not venture within a certain range of a jammer.

    I've been wanting this feature for quite a while but always forgot to mention. Basically when you place a stud wall in front of you and want to upgrade to metal or whatever, it will upgrade on that side that you were looking at when you initially placed it. So if you went behind a wall and wanted to upgrade to that side, the metal will be always facing the different side, that side which you placed. It would be a nice feature if walls were upgradable from different sides, like the ones you are looking at and not from that side that you placed them. Hope it makes sense :D
     
    Don't know if it is possible to code that, but it would be a great feature to have.

    Coz i believe in 0300 or 0301 i did shoot them and looted them as soon the question mark popped up wich looked like i was 2-3 feet from the snake not on top of them

    What I meant was after removing the tarp, you used to have to stand directly above the loot and "i".  Sometimes, if the tarp pallet was near a wall, you couldn't loot it at all.
    Blue tarp looting is much improved now.  Regarding the "unreachable" blue tarps on roofs, a mosquito will make quick work of that.

    With ArmA 3 and survival games in general Griefing is almost irrelevant to me. It's much more relevant in PvE games and MMO's where players can use the PvE rule set to cause someone anguish within the game mechanics. In EPOCH if you blow up someone's car that is your choice, and they have every right to do whatever they want in retaliation to that. 
    I don't see how you could persistently stalk someone unless you are hacking and scripting to do it. All the maps are pretty big and there are no names over anyone's heads. The only thing I consider unacceptable on my servers that is within the allowed mechanics of the game is harassment. If a player is constantly harassing someone in a crystal channel and generally being a tool I get rid of them, I don't have time for childishness in the community.
    There are a lot of people and admins however that play EPOCH that make conduct rules for their servers however. I personally think trying to do this is silly, let the game mechanics do the work and let the community develop itself. But I have seen servers that would for example say it's a ban if you use a vehicle as an explosive device to enter a base, however it's completely do-able within the mechanics of the game. That doesn't make any sense to me, but that's why everyone can make their own server.
