The base code for VEMF should now be complete. Over the next few days I'm going to get it error-free.
Once I have the bugs worked out I'll get an Alpha version ready.

I was one of those 25, for the record. I've wanted that fixed even before epoch. Though i do really think you all should take a few minutes out of your day to upvote that issue, since kilo has taken several hours out of many of his, to bring this release to the public so you all can enjoy it. It's really not asking all that much considering. Plus in reality, you're only helping yourself by doing it, since it will FURTHER progress the already awesome missions system we have in place.

True, but consider this....many of us run solid servers these days, but we had to start learning somewhere. Why not give him the same opportunity to sink or swim? :)

Hi, currently I am a bit tied up working on the updated launcher, to be released soon. I have an updated antagonist brain almost complete and am planning more work on the mission system in the New Year. We will be adding a treasure hunt type mission due to the popular demand for it, or at least the ability to 'craft' a mission like this. Also, can't wait to get working on the new antagonist, Kiory has been working his magic again.

I'm thinking insane killer clowns random spawn a carnival of horrors? Would fit with the creepy cloak and sapper theme. Maybe in Arma 3 Epoch the devs are going for more of a mutant killer instance hills have eyes kind of antagonist instead of run o' the mill zombies?

Progress update (since I posted this thread originally last friday). The majority of the bulk code is done. All the location finding code is done for now. The next bulk code hurdle is the code that actually spawns the AI, keeps track of them, cleans them up, and caches them. VEMF will cache units that are not near players and respawn them in when players get near to save on server resources which should further minimize lag and allow for more AI on the field.
After this stretch, there will only be small bugs to work out like keeping temporary vehicles from despawning, or being saved by the server if we don't want them to, and making sure the AI behave as they are supposed to. As announced on Github, the first release of VEMF will include Dynamic Town Invasion missions only, and will be expanded on from there (as that will require 80% of the core code to be done).

UPDATE: We had a pretty major performance issue pop up with the 100 player Chernarus server yesterday, A fix is in testing now, first signs show that we may have increased performance from the previous version.

Have had work, still in development, taken the same way, was too trusting and let someone on my private test server. Shit happens and it really means very little.
To be honest anyone that takes work that way will always be playing catchup with the original developer.
Keep updating and keep it out there, put your name in the comments and don't sweat others borrowing your code, imitation is the ultimate compliment.. so long as they credit ;)

The way some of you act is ridiculous. We give respect to those that give it. We have the right to release and license our work the way we choose. We could easily just not released server files till 1.0. Show me one other mod like A3 Epoch that has actually released server files. We have proof to backup our claims and will be following though with standard legal steps. No one is making you run a server, you choose to do so. If you do not like A3 Epoch, run another mod or make your own. You are free to make your own mod that does not rely on modifying our code. Arma 3 Epoch is not DayZ Epoch it is not open source yet. Our license is mainly to prevent derivative works till we get to the open source state at 1.0. The use of CompileFinal is for security reasons first and foremost. if you allow recompile you open your self up to possible exploits. A3 Epoch was made from the ground up and does not borrow anything from anywhere and we have about a year of GitHub history to prove it.
