I have installed tons of scripts on all diff kinds of map so I know what im doing. im pretty sure I havnt misplaced a file or anything. I don't know why I get the black screen or why I cant jus drop the rsccharacter file in my mission n call it in description. it must by a script I have that's messing with it. anyone else get the error rsccharacterselectinfo undefined base class rsctext. when they try to call the file in description

k so I figured it out. For anyone having the same problem I was with the black screen I had my pubplicEH in a diff file which was still called in my init but I had to move it to my custom folder and call it there instead. so maybe somewhere in his script it calls it in the custom folder. also the rscCharacterselectinfo didn't work so I had to define the rsctext in the file aswell as in description but it worked after that.

Are you sure you have the latest version of the file description.ext?

there clearly is a "class RscText" defined in there, maybe that is missing in your file or it should work?? I guess some people don't update there init.sqf and description.extwith every patch so you might have an outdated version.

 

About the publicEH.sqf, I believe there still is a dead reference in the compiles.sqf which is never used, but instead the reference from the init.sqf is (that is duplicate code in the original Epoch scripts, but yeah it confused me once, too).

Most of it is embedded in the player_monitor.fsm, look for "class Character_Selection" staring at line 1749 or use the FSM editor and edit the "Character Selection" state there.

I've got a small problem though, using your hiveext.dll i'm getting occasional CHILD:303 errors, i do not know if it's related to yours but could'nt find anything for the 303 error online. I'm having a hard time determing the source and just want to eleminate possibities. Is it possible your hiveext.dll is no longer based on the latest 'official' one?

Hi, hive method 303 is for object inventory updating (safes and stuff) and it seems with your error the inventory is quite big, maybe to big for the hive to handle and that is why it might fail.

Anyway I didn't change anything about that in my custom DLL, so it should be the same error with the official one... I know there is a limit for the data transferred to the hive, so most likely it will be just that if players have to many (different) items in the safe with long items names it might fail.. :(

edit: as you can see in your errors the strings seems to be cut of, there should be an "]" at the end of the list, but it is not so it will fail probably, like I said

I don't think so, there is no update for the hive, and fixing that is very hard because it is a limitation of the Arma2 extension engine and to fix that you would have to split the stuff in smaller parts and put it together on the other side and that sucks to do haha :D

I use single currency from Zupa that has custom HiveExt.dll do you know of a version of dll that will work with your Multiple Character Mod? The one i'm testing is crashing server with it :(

1. open the file player_monitor.sqf and change the path to my custom player_monitor.fsm so that the line looks something like this:

   _id = [] execFSM "custom\player_monitor.fsm";

 

you just have to replace this line

_id = [] execFSM "\z\addons\dayz_code\system\player_monitor.fsm";

with

_id = [] execFSM "custom\player_monitor.fsm";

that is all actually (change the path to my custom file)

My findings are....  After you change skin and abort from game and login back the game gives you double of humanity.

 

Example: 2500  skin changes

                5000 after join server

                5000  skin changes

              10000 join server again.... and keeps doubling every time you do this skin change and relog server

 

This only happens for 2nd and 3rd char selector, nothing like this for 1st char

sure if you merge the scripts it will work, I think someone has released a file with the two scripts (because some changes are in the same file)..

Hey Axe Cop. I have a curious problem with this mod on my server.

While most of the players can connect and play easily, there are some (like 2 or 3 players) which cannot connect to the server since

I installed this mod. When they connect I get an error in the rpt log for them as well.

these both errors are shown:
