Seen a couple of threads now linking to this problem of the server rolling back and not saving the object / vehicle COORDS on restart. - I use PRMS (Added by GamingDeluxe) which restarts the server like BEC Problem with this is that I have my server to restart every 4 Hours and it only restarts every 2 hours? This could be the cause? Threads such as: are similar to to my problem https://forums.dayz.com/topic/68181-1725-tents-and-vehicle-inventories-not-saving/ So if I spawn in a vehicle using Infistar for a player Then the player drives this vehicle around the map anywhere After 2 hours the server will restart prematurely (when its set to 4 hour restarts on PRMS) And will then move this spawn vehicle back to the position to where I spawned it This is the same with players creating bases, or adding items to safes or vehicles. The server simply rolls back to the start of the server restart. I think this could be a problem with a Server_update file as it is not saving the positions but I read on the other thread this is not the case... Any ideas? - Dztance

  5. I'm running Zupa coins on my dayz overpoch server. And whenever server restarts (and I assume when a player logs out) the player's coins disappear from their inventory . If anyone could help, I would appreciate it. Edit : I am missing banking_data in my db. How would I impliment it?

  7. Hi, I'm trying to do a force save all on DB before the server restarts. The best situation is make Bec starts the save process 1 minute before restart. There is any way to make Bec run a server scipt? Thankyou!
  8. Wondering if someone can help me out here, I have restarts working on my server every 4 hours but I noticed there is no warning. How would I go about adding a warning 10 mins, 5 mins, and 2 mins before the restart?   9. I currently run an Overpoch Server and everytime a player dies the vehicle disappears and goes back to its original location. I cant figure out what the issue is. Here is my RPT. I get this issue repeatedly in RPT Error Position: <}; > Error Missing { File z\addons\dayz_server\system\server_monitor.sqf, line 458 Error in expression <_done = true; publicVariable "sm_done"; }; Error position: <_ret;> Error Undefined Variable in expression: _ret File z\addons\dayz_code\compile\bis_fnc\fn_selectRandom.sqf, line 24 Error in expression < call BIS_fnc_selectRandom; I just don't know why any of this would affect vehicles resetting their position upon player death.
  10. Hey guys Got a bit of a issue and finding it very tricky to find. For some time vehicles do not update their location in the DB. I find that fresh vehicles "spawned on the same restart" will be fine while re-logging. Once the server has been restarted the vehicles will aways stop in that location no matter what you try. I find that you can move a vehicle, get out and relog and it will move back to its origional position. I cant see any errors what so ever to refer off. My main mods list Plot poles for life single curreny system snap building Jaem I have tried working backwards and even disabling all running mods but no luck. I also added the DZE-forcesave but when daving the vehicle it does nothing. I also found the thrad below regading EMS but that also did not fix the issue. I would be very greatfull for any help what so ever. Cheers Lordgeorge

  12. Hi guys I wonder if anyone has had this issue? Basically, players start creating bases...jammer down...foundations...walls....cinder block walls, the whole caboodle and on restart it has disappeared, either some of the cinder block walls, or in the worst case scenario, the whole base! We are running V0.3.0.1 and wondered if it's an Epoch bug and if anyone else has encountered it? Thanks very much.
  13. Hi All, I have a question to seasoned scripters please. First a little background, I recently started writing a basic script, lots of pain with 'general error' / 'object is null' etc. errors but finally there is some progress, things looking up at least it is fun! :D I now have some tools which I did not have on day0 - these help me save time suchas git setup on desktop+laptop+mobile and bat/cmd scripts to easily restart server and so on. However there is one issue which still feels like I am doing something totally wrong: each time I change a file, however tiny, I still need to restart the whole dam server which takes a good 2-3 minutes. 2-3 mins doesn't sound like a lot but I need to test a lot of things as you can imagine so 500per day x 2-3 minutes quickly add up to serious numbers [i admit I exaggerate the number a little but you get the point!]. Potential solutions/improvement options I read about: I read about Arma2Net but I don't totally understand the implications so I ignored it for the time being - also I don't know if it is an Arma2-only thing as I am currently working on Arma 3. I also came accross that command in BIKI (which I can't remember now) the one basically lets you reload a file while the server is still running thus (in theory) eliminating time-wasting restart - unfortunately Windows is putting a lock on the file and file cannot be modifed unless you use unlocker.exe etc. pulling files from under could affect arma3 game negatively and having limited time I have not done extensive tests on it either (just skipped it for the time being). I also thought about a potential virtualization solution (haven't read about it anywhere which suggests maybe not that good of an idea!) I do understand the extreme perf. penalty but when testing basic scripts it probably won't be an issue so perhaps quiesce snapshots is the way to go? So the above is my problem, what do you guys do to quickly change files & re-test? Is there a utility or some clever hack to improve the development cycle massively? Thanks in advance for any input! P.S.: (don't get mad awol but) in my quest for quicker restarts, for the time being I even dropped 'epochmod' from startup options. Once I have less 'general error's I will add it back to test the relatively mature code under Epoch. I read about different classnames possibly being an issue and that some BIS_fnc's might not working with Epoch (info source: Vampire's blog) so will need to definitely test in Epoch - as soon as I have something to test!)
  14. Hey guys, I have a really big problem. I'm german so sorry for my english but I have to write this in this forum because in german forums I get no answers. My problem is that if someone buys a vehicle they do not save over restart. For example the buy a suv at trader stary (epoch chernarus) and they drive it in their base but if the server restart it's again at the trader where they build the vehicle. What's wrong there?
  15. So download epoch like 8 days ago, loving it. But I don't have a side chat or radio chat or see kill feeds or sever restarts time warnings. So am I dumb and missing a setting or just a bug, my friends have to tell me when server restarting and stuff. My chat worked on anything but epoch if you even call the chat. I checked GUI and it not off screen it right where it is on any other server or mod on arma III, and I even resized it to see if it helps. It didn't Also I know I need a radio for radio chat, I have one. :) Hope this is not a normal bug with a fix already, just didn't see it asked and it a problem for me so.

  18. I was putting my gear inside the Tipi so I could empty my inventory but apparently it doesn't want to save the gear after a server restart. I went to check it out and boom it was gone just like that. Does this happen for anyone else?

Hi guys Kumari here I am the developer of for the aCw community many of you may not have heard of us because we are No-CD.Now we do use a legit copy of the game for hosting but I digress.I have made this quite interesting I think batch file that I call the All-In-One It takes several functions from all over different forums and combines them in to one batch file.Well a batch file and a vb script but this is still mostly all in one really.Now what this dose is you run it from the BEC or any other program you use for restarts ect. I have tried my best to make this as user friendly as possible so its really simple to use.I probly will redo this tho to have all config in one section now this has not been used yet but has been tested a lot so you can consider this a 1.0 beta if you will if you guys find this useful I will improve it add more to it ect. Once this file is activated by the BEC what it dose is it will start by shutting down the server and the BEC now the BEC normally shuts its self down but in the event that it dose not this will do that for you. Then it dose a check to see if you have debug set to 1 this will tell you step by step what its doing and allow you to walk thew it to find errors.Then it shuts down the server and BEC.The BEC almost allays shuts its self down but in the event it dose not this will make sure its down so that way you don't end up with two BECs running at once.Then you come to the clean up this uses the log rotation but may change there are configs for this and I will show you soon.What it dose it makes a back up of the ArmA II logs and removes the original to keep it clean and running smooth it allso backs up and removes infiSTAR anti-hack logs don't worry if you don't have this because the batch also looks to see if you have it installed of you dont it just continues on to the next part.Now here comes the fun part the vb script if you want this you can use it if not you can remove it.What this dose it takes the Hiveext.ini and randomizes day/night.I implemented this because we have players from all over any they say "Every time I play its night" now this was because I use local time so that it marches that of real life I could have set it to be day all the time but what fun is that so this is ware the vb caomes in.Next it will boot up the server and BEC the cool thing it dose this all in a few seconds.Now I will show the code and how to configure this now like I said I make make this more simple to config at a later date. Lets start with the shutdown as you can see I use custom names because we run two servers on one system so I only want this to run on on server at a time you can do the same if you have two in one server. Now for the log rotation. Here you need to set your server path server insistence if you want the original logs removed and if you have infiSTAR ware your Dlls are located now I use default for this because I can never get the AHconfig to use the path I give it to the Dlls. Now unlike the original code you can see I have the logs back up to ServerManagement\RotatedLogs you can change this if you like but I like it that way to be neat. now this next bit will look for the infiSTAR Dlls. Then it dose the rotation. Next it dose the Day/Night now for this to work you need to right click the vb and edit it and give it the path to your hive ini and set under time Type static and the hour to 12 or 22 I tried to make this work in a way that you don't need to change that and the code dose it on its own but failed this may be fixed if I can figure it out now it needs to look like this. [Time] ;Possible values: Local, Custom, Static ;You cannot use Static on OFFICIAL Hive, it will just revert to Local Type = Static ;If using Custom type, offset from UTC in hours (can be negative as well) ;Offset = -8 ;If using Static type (Hour value always the same on every server start), the value (0-24) to set the Hour to Hour = 22 Now back to the batch file It will then run your server and BEC this works the same what way ever batch you are useing you need to set your port config path ect.Thats really basic stuff so I am not going over that. For some reason my server has went onto it's head :/ It was running fine a while back but yesterday my friend and I had trouble spawning in after a restart :| We were in the game normally, but after the server restarted, we joined back, we got back the verification and downloading player data, but we get stuck on the "DayZ Overpoch" Screen, we can hear sounds around us (I was getting mauled by zombies) and we could hear our selves walk? Any idea what it could be? :c

    BEC and restarts

    Just got my dedicated server all up and running and I'm having some issues with BEC. It seems to stick at Waiting for server startup, nothing else happens after that.   23. Hi There, I'm trying to get the my debug monitor to show the correct time before server restarts. I have a BEC setup to restart every 4 hours. 06:0010:0014:0018:0022:0002:00Here Is the commands I have in place for it. The custom debug screen Is what is slightly confusing me. Here is the script I'm using. The debug Is showing the wrong time before restart and I'm a little confused on how I can change it. I've changed the (serverTime) to (06:00:00) to see if that would allow it to begin the cycle repeating itself every 240 minutes thus breaking it to the cycle but It completely made my debug screen disappear. What can I do to make the debug show the correct time before restart? Cheers.

    Good evening guys, i've got some problems with my server.. i want to get auto restarts.. At the moment i run it local, but i want to put it on a root server.. So how can i get auto restarts :D ? I don't have a BEC folder in my server files.. so idk.. What can i do ? How to get it working ?
