Correct. I've never had a server before but i want to get one up this year sometime. Ill come pass your ts later and ask a few questions if you don't mind.

A3 Epoch may be the future but its not up to par with A2 in my opinion.

I agree with Nema, I spent 2 weeks trying to install sarge AI.... it was my first script, and it was really stupid for me to take that long, but i finally got it working and my struggle with other scripts got less worse. But If you'd like I spend a large amout of my free time helping others with small and big things I don't mind showing you what direction to go but it's definitely worth it to yell at your screen for a little while :)

Sirblockwood - I believe there are a number of videos that explains well how to use the /vilayercustomcode/ folder when you code. 
 
Doping a search for "add custom code to Vilayer" and selecting the option gave me a few results, this one amongst them:

Beyond that - the Snapping (And Snapping Pro) installation instructions are amongst the best there is imo - if you follow them exactly, it will take you very little time to add it in. 
If you fail and something breaks - there is your learning opportunity! :) 
 
Always remember: Before changing any code, ensure you have a backup. In case of ViLayer, always make a backup of the /vilayercustomcode/dayz.epoch and /vilayercustomcode/mission/epoch.{mapname} .

having spent many a happy hour here learning how to host, script & operate a server I would like to share some thoughts.
 
There is no plug & play easy way to host a server, I see many here asking for answers to questions that have been answered many times before.
I see people here who seem to think it's easy & want everyone else to do it all for them, pay offers, requests to fix it all.
 
We sorry to burst ya bubbles but this shit whilst not rocket science isn't easy.
 
Do your time, learn the ropes & invest in some research, that way lies success.
 
Don't waste your money on renting servers that you have no clue about operating, a fool & his money are easily parted, you are fodder for the hosting companies & the only winners are them.
 
This may rattle the odd cage but it has to be said.

Hey sirblockwood, I've seen you make several posts asking how to do very simple things on your vilayer server and let me give you a friendly piece of advice, research the things you want to do and then do them. Don't mistake my tone, I'm not saying this to be a dick rather I'm saying it so you can learn. I spent about a month figuring all of this stuff out before I ever posted in this forum and because I've spent so much time making mistake after mistake and figuring it out on my own I'm much better for it. Pretty much every simple thing you want to do has a tutorial some where for it, if you follow them you'll learn SO much more then just having someone show you exactly how to do it all. I myself am running an Overpoch server on Vilayer and feel your pain, but trust me try and do this stuff on your own, I've had things take me days to figure out but in the end I'm better for having done it that way. It truly depends on how you run your server personally, I've seen admins play among players on their servers no prob, but don't tolerate players calling out "Admin abuse" every time something doesn't go their way. We have both on our server.
 
We have an admin who does no PVP. He will hang out with players, help them do missions, help them build, and take care of in game administration such as death by glitches, and admin ran events. He of course also has access to RCon, and the in-game admin tools.
 
I on the other hand am the Developer, and even though I do all the coding, I don't give myself access to the in game tools, only RCon. I don't want to be called a cheater when I play on the server to have fun by PVP. I also have access to the database of course, but there is hardly a need to modify anything in there other than traders.
 
Although I do agree with Mr. Snatchit, I had a player get killed by roaming AI, call admin abuse (even though no admins were on), and quit the server. There are always some people who can never have fun unless they are in the lead.

I have admins and mods.
Admins gets infistar menu and are not allowed to PVP or build bases (if they do, they have to delete it later and got to be away from players).
Mods are generally regulars we trust, they are given only BEC admin with few commands like kick, warn and ban for 10 minutes. These guys can fully experience the game and take care of abusive community if admin is not present. Mods also gets reserved slot if server is full.
 
We are also running badwords.txt on BEC that warns/kicks when people says "admin abuse" (or any other targeted bad language and racial slurs).

Thanks guys but I figured out the problem, when I posted this I had my launch params for the server set up as -mod=DayzOverwatch;@dayz_epoch;@dayz_epoch_server, not realizing i forgot the @ in front of Dayzoverwatch :D but its working now no problems, thanks for the help tho :3

There is a "startup settings" button with vilayer, just use that to change your bat file.

No Problem! I do a lot of adding items to my server and its kinda a pain for me to make sql's so i would manually add them in one by one(Stupid but I preferred it), and now I'm just using your tool to make the spl so much faster.
