    ITS A DEFINATE BUG, TESTED AND RECREATED OVER AND OVER AGAIN ON MULTIPLE SERVERS.

    Sorry you are at the stage of putting down those that share something good like this.
    Maybe you are just mad that I am helping many servers get back on their feet instead of losing their population but this is what a community is for: SHARING when its necessary.

    Updated A3EAI to 0.5.5 to fix a bug with AI vehicle crew cleanup that wasn't fully solved with the last updates. Sorry for the rapid-fire string of updates recently.

    I disagree, it is necessary, just needs tailoring. Which it will get. From testing we were responding to people unsure of some of the new lootables. I see it staying, just being toned down to a new player hint. Am sure, in the long term, that hardcore type servers will have the option to remove, we all like discovering things, even hundreds of hours into a game if something new is discovered it's always a good feeling.

    It's a way to properly respawn the character without issues. It shouldn't be changed and is a feature. If I remember correctly it's because of the revive tool.

    Thanks to everyone for their continuous feedback and the ongoing interest on/about SEM!
    I'll update my test server this WE and then continue my work on the scripts, which I did previously put on a halt, because of private reasons.

    I too am using GTX Gaming and while I have had some issues with my server due to my getting up to speed with running a Server. The few times I have has any technical issues their support has been excellent. Their support has been prompt and thorough. I was very pleased yesterday to see the 0.3.0.1 update ready for my server on the same day it was released publicly. 
    I initially signed up for a 3 month term as a trial to see how I liked their service, but now I plan to renew for a full year.
    Customer service means a lot to me and so does technical knowledge of support staff. GTXGaming has shined in both of these areas for me.

    The setup is essentially what' maca at ccg had prior to the 2.5 release, however he used his Emod addon to precompile any serverside/mission configs before epochs, therefore bypassing that pricingcfg. AWOL just made this method possible without using a bypass mod and are now able to use the .hpp file called directly from missiom config .ext with simple a #include. =]

    huuuge thanks for allowing this on this update. Not being able to add in mas items/vehicles to the roster has been terribly annoying. Players will be stoked to finally be able to put a value on them.

    A3EAI has been updated to 0.5.1. Includes compatibility with Epoch 0.3.0.1 and many other changes and fixes.
     
    Please be aware that if you have the A3EAI client addon installed, you need to update it with 0.5.1.

    This type of BS happens every time we are getting close to a release doesn't it? Like I am sure it was the same with Arma 2 Epoch. There is a specific reason they wanted to fill Mells, and if you don't understand that, then oh well. Nobody cares.
     
    I think it's like..if you can't wait, aren't patient enough, or whatever the reason, just move along. Go play something else. These guys don't owe us shit, like zilch, nothing. I for one, appreciate anything and everything they do, and am grateful to be able to play on a free release, whenever they come out. Did I mention this is free? What an incredible environment to be able to play on for free. Thank you devs, I appreciate all your work, always.

    Oh Fuck, am so upset i am instantly going to stop developing for this mod, right this second. After putting hundreds of hours into learning, and then several hundred hours developing / still learning. All based on words on the Inetthing.. ;) and a cat, without an air rifle pointing at it. ?     I haven't properly caught up with the rest of the devs for over a week, real life and a very imminent addition to my family. Am still squeezing in a couple of hours a day on the AI and mission system.
     
    If the release is being held off then is for good reason, following the feedback from testing there are bugs that do need dealing with.

    I miss Sauerland. With Arma 3 textures it would be pretty epic. I cant stand Chernarus as it's all Arma 2 textures,and the damned buildings are all closed. Now if it was as pretty as standalone, then it would be cool. To me it's all about the visuals.
     
    In response to this thread...who cares. In the end, it doesn't even matter. No sense getting all fired up about something you have no control over.

    Good news is that the A3 devs added Linux callExtension support in the dev build recently and should be out soon. So, we should be able to provide support for both Linux and Windows servers.

    Here's a thought.....maybe they should just have a single test server for each map that's currently in play on the majority of community servers, i.e., Altis, Chernarus, Bornholm, and then extend an invitation to only enough people who will actually test stuff and not just run around shooting people.   The majority of the people on the official servers right now don't understand or care that they're supposed to be testing and not playing.   If they would invite only known server admins from the community who have frequently maintained threads in the community servers forum and put them on a whitelist then only those who are serious about actually testing could even get into the servers.  Updates would be debugged in half the time if they would implement some form of a system like this.  What's more, it would keep server files secure until such time as they are ready to be publicly released.  Of course there's downsides to this method, including a large initial workload of getting people to sign up for the whitelist and obtaining UIDs and such.  They would also have to occasionally weed through the list and remove anyone who isn't contributing.  But it may be worth it in the end.

    Let MGT do what they want to do.  Let them roll with their no fucks given attitude.  If you want the development to progress, let the devs work and cooperate by testing their shit.  Otherwise, have fun on the hacked servers.

    Really, these threads are just a distraction from the real content and work that is going on. Speculation and trolling, and then we, as devs of the mod, get moaned at for not responding..?

    I am sitting in front of the next mission system upgrade, and I have no idea where my train of thought was..

    There's a bunch of fixes and improvements for vehicles in 0.5.0, which should be released within 24 hours of Epoch 0.3 release.

    Also, errors related to the select random function are useless by themselves without information about what script is calling it.

    Testing is going well with only a few critical bugs reported so far, a new server build has been pushed to our test servers that address the following issues.   Server Side Changelog 0.3.0.1 b4: [Fixed] Crypto reset bug on death or fresh character. [Fixed] Server side vehicle immunity for 1 minute after initial server startup, should prevent accidental damage on spawn.
