  1. To add to what Kpabatok says above I understand on server restart all vehicles are first simulated facing north and then shift to their saved position. It is this shift to saved position i beleive that causes an issue with clipping objects and consequent explosions.

    Of course if this happens whilst you aren't on and no vehicle or wreckage is there then it will look like it has disappeared or been stolen.

  2. I have known that guns with attached bipods when they spawn, (mostly in mission loot), often duplicate in storage. Not seen an instance of separate unattached bipods duplicating, even if left attached when stored.

As I only have a laptop at present and can't play Arma3 I have gone back to playing Arma 2 DayZ Epoch and whilst it is a maturer mod and I pretty well know how to avoid the remaining bugs and issues, it is for me just not as satisfying a game to play as the Epoch mod for Arma 3 playing as a lone wolf.

    The zombies are no threat, whilst the antagonists in A3 Epoch are a challenge to avoid and more of a challenge to dispatch.

    The use of the player driven economy where what is looted is what is available is  just right, with the ability to trade in items unwanted or surplus to requirements, and a small hope of actually finding what you need/want to buy in their place being dependent on others selling.

    The advances in the building are encouraging and new items due in future leave much hope for the full mod after alpha.

    MartinisGod would I play on your Arma 2 Dayz Epoch server yes but only whilst I could not play Arma 3. 

    In your stats if you take a mean count it is only 2.75 players per Arma 2 DayZ Epoch server and 2.5 players per Arma 3 Epoch server not much difference in players per server in either mod at the time you took screen shot. 

    As has been said before having a community first that you know plays together could help keep either choice viable, then it is down to good management of the server to keep it populated.

    Also these forums are an invaluable source for answers to scripts and coding issues for both mods, just take time to browse other sections or do specific searches on topics that interest you.

     

  4. Plenty of great improvements in building and UI and of course hints of plenty more to come. Some servers are using Ryan's Zombies as an add on but there are reports that it is hard to get it to work. 

    Epoch still has much more playability than other survival mods out there. But there  is a lot out there for people to play especially with big AAA titles...Hop on a server and play start your own revival and spread the good word.

  5. The difference is due to the fact that BI games Arma 2 and 3, DayZ SA rely much more on the cpu than the gpu. And unfortunately in choosing AMD processors, like myself, we are disadvantaged  compared to intel users. I was told that it has to do with the way the game uses the resources of the processor and that Intel architecture allows that better performance compared to AMD.

    Until I can afford to swap out my cpu and motherboard, I try to adjust my video settings to optimize fps, mostly by trial and error. Essentially I don't expect to be running high graphics settings whilst still on my AMD cpu.

     

  6. Aren't we clones in Epoch specially brewed in vats, and infused with nano-bots, to give us a fighting chance in the post apocalyptic environment! I do hope that means the devs, as awol has hinted at, can work around BIS stamina/fatigue and bring back Epoch's own system which perfectly suited the story and game play style: surviving longer meaning the ability to store more stamina and combat fatigue, whilst still fighting off the harsh environs where toxicity is also a threat as are the custom antagonists.

    Really hoping that balance can be achieved.

  7. Last Saturday saw the first two quarter finals played in this friendly official Arma 3 Tournament. If you missed it you can watch on Twitch here

    This Saturday 14th November 17:00 UTC sees the last two quarter finals plus a sudden death rematch to one of last weeks matches.

    I thoroughly enjoyed the tournament and the shout casting and Twitch broadcast last week and encourage any one to catch this weekends coming matches.  

  8. Is it something to do with the 'team/side' we all log in as? Never been certain on why there are limited uniforms. Some servers i have played on using RHS addon have enabled their uniform packs and that allowed a little more variety.

    I suppose other uniform packs could also be used if the server wants to run such add-ons and there are no conflicts with Epoch.
