Thanks Richie lets hope OP is playing on your server, and you have a craft-able Arma3 tool kit. Otherwise in general OP will not be able to craft an Arma3 tool kit on a server he joins.
-
As we have both said that item is not craft-able, but may be found only.
-
If it is a black pack labelled 'toolkit', that is something from Arma3, probably included in one of the add-ons running on that server. They are not an epoch item at present, but when clicked on will open an Epoch window. You cannot use them in Epoch style or craft with them. (It is possible that the add-on actually means you can use the 'toolkit' from your scroll wheel action menu, I know i have used add-on Arma3 first aid kits in this way).
If it is actually labelled 'repair parts' it is craftable with small salvage metal into 'repair kit', both need to be in your inventory.

Ape now inconsistent, still throwing shit from cage!
Complains in one post about having to pay rent on his server because: " its not worth spending money renting a server for a game thats non-playable."
Yet encourages the devs to charge for server files!
Ape should stop scratching his arse as he obviously has shit for brains and is running out of shit!

Ape in suit no like throw shit from cage!
Screeches about money lost on renting server no one forced him to provide!
So stop renting it then and go play Life is Feudal, which is soooo much better, apparently!
-
You can dress an ape in a suit, and give it a gun, but it is still only going to throw shit out of its cage!

I've been considering changing the name of my terrain for a while now. Do you guys think it should be changed? I mean it's a fictional map so it deserves a fictional name, but Ilanavis is a bit weird of a name lol. All I did was derived Ila- from Island/Isle and -navis from Latin, which basically means "boat". I was going to start posting on Armaholic and BI forums about it but decided I should wait until I settle on the name. I'm working on place names as well. Any suggestions will be taken into consideration.
I like the original name, and it also gives you a basis for naming places in a similar fashion. Fictitious is the key here, you can do what you like as long as it as some underpinning naming logic and you started that already.

I was kidding, you're going to get me killed! :X
hahaha! well.... it was your idea!
Please don't get cring0 killed...at least not until he has finished his map!

what about when you get a lockbox and go to place it and it goes poof magic trick time.
Not sure I have seen a lockbox go 'poof', you must remember that the lockbox when built appears several feet in front of you so if too close to a wall or uneven ground it may look as if not there but you just need to move yourself or the lockbox.

As far as I understand it, Arma3 has the issue with inland water. You will notice that neither Stratis nor Altis have inland water.
So any Arma2 ported map with in land water being used in Arma3 will be dry.

yes, I know that, if part is damaged bellow 50 percent it will show, but I am curious now if base parts automatically get damaged with no maintenance.
Not certain they do until bullet/explosive damage is inflicted, that is what OP was asking about anyway.
-
Yes you can maintain daily if you wish, by the hour or any time you want to: just click maintain and if you have the crypto, it will take it from you for maintenance.
So if you only want to do it for the period of time the server has set if for eg 7 days then keep note of that for yourself. There is nothing in Epoch at present to do that for you; nor will Epoch prompt you to maintain.
I think Firedragon is probably right and that the maintenance, (physical look of your base), would not be effective until a server restart.

I will test the scenario you described. But, yes if you put the document into a crate or vehicle you should get a warning and then, if fully abandoned the mission, retaliation from the trader for skipping out on the job..
Could you have logged in between ? That will break the current mission and leave you with a document worth 10 Krypto.
It should be possible to store the document in a crate temporarily, but I wouldn't leave it too long (10-12 seconds max) :)
No not talking about a break in play, death or back to lobby. Just movement to a vest on floor which i have opened then filled from my inventory and picked up. Quite happy to use the work around of keeping document on person by moving from vest i am wearing to back pack so it does not leave my own inventory.
Have loved the trader missions ideal for a lone wolf to get much needed extra build pieces and especially lock boxes!

Have noticed that on occasion i have had mission document in chest rig of some description then found a larger capacity one and moved mission doc over continued to my destination trader for mission not to be completed.
I have then run on to next trader before i can complete mission.
So to me it seems that moving mission doc has reset my distance from the destination trader and does not complete because i moved the mission doc too close to my destination trader.
Can moving mission document cause such an issue? Or is something else at play?
If the mission document leaves your person you will get a warning and then punished for abandoning the mission.
So in the situation i described above if i had put mission document into backpack and not transferred it to chest rig on floor and then picked up the mission should continue as normal.
Thanks for the really helpful answers and prompts Axeman!

Can you join Vanilla Epoch servers without the error and kick?
I.E. a server just requiring Epoch 0301.
If so at least you know that your Epoch files are correct. Then you can work out which of the additional mods in turn are causing the issue. To join Panthera and or Namalsk you will need All in Arma Terrain Pack. Most 'overpoch' servers require @mas18 and emod to work.
I try to add each mod in turn so map then guns and see that i can join a server without errors.
A3 Launcher should identify any corrupt files before launching but i don't use it anymore so it may have changed.

I thought that was for personal use only....
It's possible the plunger will be needed, my character has been alive for days and hasn't pooped yet. Damn bio meat.
See I knew it.
Of course with all the sweetcorn i have eaten there is the chance i may need the plunger to unblock the lav.

Have always liked the look of your map but now seeing it fleshed out more and the plans you have for further additions to it... well like just seems too paltry a word, love it!
Keep going I think this could be something special.

So playing on the excellent Glory Hole Taviana server today and came across these objects in a fire station:

Are these new lootable objects from Epoch 0.3.0.1?
Below are them shown individually with inventory circle unfortunately they spawned no loot.
