    Below is a link to a 90% solution which has been working very well on both our Epoch servers and Viper's.  I have rewritten the script to add a "killed" event handler to the player which is independent of any epoch code. The only limitation is that as written the kill feed does not detect player deaths after a revive, hence the 90% solution. Many thanks to Viper179 and Prymary for giving this a thorough test. Installation is as before: simply replace the old addons\messages folder with the new on provided through the link below, repack your mission.pbo and you should be set.

    If you run the default Epoch antihack you will need to modify line 78 of security_checks.h as follows:
            Killed          = "_this call EPOCH_fnc_playerDeath;(_this select 1) call Halv_fnc_message_players;";
    then repack A3_epoch_server_settings.pbo
    You may also have to add a few Battleye exceptions depending on which antihack you are using.

    Im using the bury body option, It worked great and it adds that little extra respect into the game!
    But like you guys already know, i to get the Action menu working,, but it stops when trying to Bury a fellow comrade, it says that You can't burry ai, even tho it was a player.
     
    I hope that Viper and all other persons can fix this script again!

    Just a quick update to all so you are not just waiting around. I have been running it live on the server found a few more issues with it so before me and ghost can push it live will be fixing some of the minor issues because i no all of you love the killfeed as me and ghost do so we are trying to hurry as fast as we can and to make sure that what we push out to every one is almost bug free.

    You need to set up a "killed" event handler for the player and have that send a public variable to the server with the [_killed,_killer] as variables. Let me compare notes with viper after which we can release the results of our combined efforts to make my patch run under the default AH and ale infiStar.

    If you've updated to 0.3.7.0 have you updated your Battleye filters, specifically the remoteexec.txt?

    i edited the described file in my serverside a3_epoch_server.pbo and it works fine! safe can be unlocked and locked and interact...
    so, download the file from your server, open it with pbo manager, edit the described file, repack the pbo, reupload it, restart your server... done!

    Are you actually *trying* to continue making an ass out of yourself? First of all, I'm not "raking" over you, I'm confronting you and others like you, because what you do is drive people like Face away. I've confronted other people as well who were bitching at Face, someone who, clearly deserves NO SHIT WHATSOEVER. This isn't singling you out, as I wrote "You and others like you". But you make the assumption that I don't know Face's position, I do know, because he told me. And yes I'm blaming you and others who behaved like you did, yours and others contributed to Face's leaving. But even furthermore I'm blaming the attitude you and others like you have.
    Apologizing is great, owning your mistake is even better.

    the top 4 are not coords but offsets for the teleporters, you need to use the last entry from that array, however the script can add these for you.
     
    besides this i just exactly updated the script with positions for australia, thanks to Tophi.

    Plus seeing many problems after each update and well my process has been very good to me so "SHARING IS CARING" kicked in and 30 minutes later.....

    We all have updated many times over the past months.
    We all love updates RIGHT?

    Well sometimes these Epoch updates have quite a bit that are different from the last.

    1. download the full Epoch_Server_Install pack from github or from the main page here at EpochMod.Com (links below)

    As well as http://epochmod.com/and goto downloads-client

    Or use the steam workshop for Client files.

    Both the @epochHive as well as the @epoch folders must be updated on each incremental update.
    So if you currently run Epoch 0.3.0.4, you must update both @folders mentioned above with the newest downloads for Epoch 0.3.1!

    2. Backup the working set that you have on your server.

    I generally will do a copy paste of my entire server folder and rename it adding the old version number. For example my back now will be EpochServerAltis0304. Then I will rename the @folders to @EpochHive0304 and @Epoch0304. This allows for you to make sure you don't screw up your old install before getting the newest updates to work and provides you with a way to do WinMerge's or manual merges without fault all while retaining your old setup and not interfering with your players on your LIVE server

    3. Prepare for your update

    I cant stress this enough: READ, READ and READ some more.
    Make sure you know whats been updated and understand, not only to be able to perform the update with ease but also so that you are educated enough to explain to your players What changed and How it will effect them as players in your community.

    4. Start your updating process

    Now I take my newly downloaded @folders and move them into the EpochServerAltis0304 folder.
    You will have 2 folders for the EpochHive to work from. Keeping the newest updated files as your base for your update.
    I like to use Notepad++ "move to other view" so that I have a side by side view of the 0.3.0.4(old) and the 0.3.1(new) files.
    Again remember that the 0.3.1 files are going to be the base and the 0.3.0.4 files will provide you with your current settings that will be moved into the newest 0.3.1 files.

    Then your mission file udpates. Prepare the mission file the same way as above, renaming the old epoch.Altis to epoch.Altis0304 and moving the updated epoch.Altis. Again allowing you to have a smooth update by comparing your old files to the new updated files and adding your settings to the newest updated files.

    For those that are newer to the process this will make your update process smooth allowing you zero probability of screwing up your current LIVE build and allowing you to test your update until its perfect before making it LIVE.

    I hope that this will help out you newbies out there get your servers updated properly without too much spilled blood, sweat and tears!

    a easy way to get the buildingclassnames use the a3 3d editor here in the forum, mark every building and press ctrl + c and than ctrl + v.... if u have all buildings save as sqf and u have all names....

    Well after 2 h playtime a few players and me can report that the fps drops are not that hard and get healty in seconds.
    Seems like this one really will help. Not perfect, but much better.
    Hope that this is not coincidence. Fingers-crossed

    There is a fix attempt from BI now :
     
    "A fix attempt (14 MB) is now available in Steam RC branch, using access code: Arma3Test148RC. It should be MP-compatible with main branch 1.48. Please let us know whether it improves the client-side FPS issues in any way (even a little)."
     
    This is a client file I have been testing for a little while and there does seem to be an improvement so fingers crossed.
