    It is not about the number of antagonists, but balance over all. It is obvious that these kiddies admins who learned scripting like 2 hours ago know nothing about it. I have seen many servers with stupid amounts of AI or loot. One of the servers had energy packs spawning EVERYWHERE, and I am not exaggerating here. Energy packs spawned everywhere instead of random stuff you get energy packs 90 percent of the time. So it is obvious that the kid fucked it up somewhere or just doesn't care. Another server had ground loot (which is ok) but it was just guns everywhere.
     
    After such servers I learned to appreciate vanilla Epoch and think it is the best choice for those who want hardcore and normal Epoch, not raped by stupid script kiddies who know no limits.
     
    Some random AI or AI missions are ok, in my opinion, but not like one server that I saw, where there were AI heli patrols AI vehicle patrols and AI foot patrols and they all spawned out of nowhere sometimes at the same time and if you killed on AI group suddenly another appeared and ad infinitum like that.
     
    People do not know how to balance these things so you get something totally worse than unfinished vanilla. And I mean it, it is worse and it is no surprise, that there are tons of servers, more servers than there are people playing, because it doesn't take a rocket scientist to set up a server, obviously.
     
    That's why it is funny to see so much new threads "come to my server pls pls new clan server free buildings kits" and shit like that, nobody cares what you give for free, dear admin. How is your shitty lame ass server different from 500 other servers? That's what people care about and if you want others to join, try to put some thought in your advertizing and not just 2000+ vehicles 500 AI patrols more loot loot loot.

    Yeah there is a lot of issues to work out before the server files are released but we need to start somewhere right? A lot of these issues are known issues, but some I'll be attempting to recreate so we can move forward to a fix! Thanks

    Bugs:
    1. Sometimes the items disappear when you put it on the groundand take it back. Happened before first micropatch.
    2. White square on dead bodies.
    3. Mistakes in trader TALK menus.
    4. Sometimes missing trashpile looting animation.
     
    Dont like:
    1. I think building items at the traders is to much.
    2. Jammer is too armored.

    The trader-missions are a bit buggy and you get way to much loot. And the base-kit #1 doesn't work. Also ammo bugged away (empty weapon, rightklick at amoo to get it in your inventory-> ammo disappeared) and the L85A2GL has nearly no weight...

    Next version will include scavenging of metal scraps and cinder blocks from wrecked cars / pallets of cinder blocks.  Looting will be significantly different in the update as well, with admins being able to adjust the loot bias on their own.  I really like the current setting on the test server which allows for 1-3 items per piece of furniture.  Scavenging from the environment creates a whole new brand of gameplay, salvage metal is way more obtainable- and you would be surprised how many cinder blocks you can find. Only thing missing is the way to craft mortar buckets. As far as food / water- now the food baskets (garbage piles) will yield specifically food so look around for those as well.  I would recommend keeping a food cooler on your character and combining 1 cooked meat + sweet corn + food cooler to make a full food cooler. I'm excited for the RC test I think you guys / gals are going to have a lot of fun with it!

    People were killing traders to spawn the UAV to spawn the AI, to get the FAK's (seriously) so they were removed from the gear. Find FAK's in any enterable building that has furniture, or in a garbage pile(press your inventory key to loot). The only places you won't find FAK's are in ovens or fridges.  I would encourage you to read the wiki if you want to learn more about the basics: http://epochmod.gamepedia.com/A3Epoch:Arma_3_Epoch

    Where did you read that? Please don't believe everything you read on the internet.
     
    We could add Zombies if we create them ourselves. The DML license only prevents DayZ Mod and DayZ Epoch content from being used in Arma 3. So, no using DayZ Mod Zombies in A3 but you can certainly make your own.
     
    Keep in mind our story is more that of technology gone wrong versus a viral outbreak. The goal with A3 Epoch and our many different antagonists is to provide an unexpected threat. The reason most people want zombies is for the perceived constant threat they provide. I am confident that as we add more antagonists, environmental, and physical dangers we can find a nice balance that provides the players with a nearly constant but changing threat.

    You guys should really familiarize yourself with the dev's twitch streams- there is activity on them at least a few times a week, and I can tell you that testing continues for the next update- version number still undecided.  Axle plans on having a full preview of all of the coming features on his stream closer to the release on the update. Might ease your mind a little bit seeing the work that goes into it, not just during the live streams but every day of the week.

    1. Through corrigated yes, cinder no. Destroy both yes - all pieces work on hit damage. Depending on the tool doing the job is how much damage per hit. 
    2. YouTube has tons of videos on this, if you can't find them, go into the editor and give it a shot. A lot of times it has to do with placement. Where you place the explosive in order to damage the piece. (example would be 2 explosives in center take down 1 corrugated wall. not in building.)
    3. Check out YouTube for this - currently, i couldn't get a lockbox to be destroyed by satchels, there is an easy way though... you will need to research it.
    4. All storage items are safe after restart. IF one does despawn, a) hasn't be accessed in 7 days b) if in map building, loot was trying to spawn in and chance of storage device on top of this loot (example file cabinet) will cause storage device to despawn. Will return after restart.

    I saw the pinned trashpile lootmap and decided I wanted to create my own maps. So, I create one that marks all of the ATM and phonebooth locations on the map (indicated by green dots) and another that marks all of the locations of the blue water barrels that can be used to fill the glass jars (indicated by blue dots).     Nope new system is way better makes people work for there stuff not just go do some AI mission (when they are in) loot it sell it and buy everything they want.

    Let's be honest arma2 epoch was not hard to make money which led to end game being over pretty quick

    wiki is being worked on by myself and others in our free time- I will be focusing heavily on base building with screenshots / videos / documentation.
    All in total you will need: 3 Salvage Metal, 6 Lumber Packs, 1 Electronic Components to complete the Corrugated Wooden Wall w/ Locked Door
