    Thanks for the info about the launchers. I will include this fix in the next update.
     
    As to vehicles, I noticed that and patched it for the next update.
     
    There was a request to allow one to customize the vehicle (static, armed etc) spawned at missions. That is quite possible and fits with the general approach I was taking to allow more easily and broadly configured missions. I will code it this weekend. I hope to have build 3.5 out early next week.

    This was started because a couple of community members at EpochMod.Com/Forums got together and took a basic idea and ran with it.
    Their initial work on Hunger and Thirst gave me the inspiration to make it even more involved and more realistic.
    From there I took it that next step and started looking at the other debug values that Epoch gives us and wham, ideas started pouring out!
    I still have many ideas left to add and tweak but this is a good start for the entire community to use in the meantime.
    So, all variables involved here kinda work with each other as well as work with the current health system in place made by Epoch.

    That's the current list of all variables that come into play.

    Make sure your EpochServer.ini has the external IP address instead of 127.0.0.1 and your current rcon password instead of "changeme".
    [EpochServer] BattlEyePath = C:\BattlEye InstanceID = NA123 LogAbuse = 1 IP = 127.0.0.1 Port = 2302 Password = changeme ... Failing that check your EpochServer.log file for more information.

    Once you unpack the zip from  the gihub, you will see need to navigate to  blckeagls-mission-system-v-2.0.2-updated-master\blckeagls-mission-system-v-2.0.2-updated-master\bin\@epoochive\addons 
     
    and find the custom_server.pbo, or use the unpacked version, make your edits, and pack into a .pbo.
     
    The mpmissions files are for example of how you place them in your mission.pbo. Unpack some of the stuff to get an idea of how it is all put together.
     
    Edit: The custom_server.pbo goes server side @Epochhive addons folder
     
    The mpmission stuff goes client side in the mpmissions folder.

    Setting up an Epoch for Arma 3 server on your PC.
     
    Below is the procedure I have used to set up A3 Epoch servers on my desktop PC. These servers are useful as a test bed when I try out things like the many scripts being released for Epoch. 
     
    Updated for Epoch RC 0.3.0.3
     
    This How To is based upon the Install.txt provided with the Epoch server files. If your server does not start up you may have missed a step or be lacking essential software.

    What you will need:
     
    A good text editor like Notepad ++ (freeware)
    Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013:

    30 min
    a bit of patience.

    Stage I: create a server directory and add all needed files to your server directory.
     
     
    1) Create a new directory on the disk you wish  to use for your server.  Mine is on an SSD drive E:
    Lets call it: E:\Arma3Server for this tutorial.

    2) Open your ..Steam\SteamApps\Common\Arma3 directory. Mine happens to be in E:\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Arma3.

    3) Copy everything from that directory to your new server directory E:\Arma3Server.

    4) Download Epoch Mod from here http://epochmod.com/download.php. Unpack the .rar file.

    5) Copy @Epoch to your new server directory E:\Arma3Server.

    6) Download the Epoch Server files https://github.com/EpochModTeam/Epoch/tree/master/Server_Install_Pack.

    7) Extract the archive, and copy all files and folders in it to your E:\Arma3Server directory.
     
    Stage II: Adjust the settings for your database:
    8) Open the DB folder of your E:\Arma3Server directory.

    9) Open redis.conf using Notepad ++ or another text editor. It will look like this.
     
    10) Change Changeme9832 in the "requirepass" field to a password you wish to use for your database server such as client321.

    11) In your E:\Arma3Server folder, find and open @EpochHive.

    12) Open EpochServer.ini using Notepad++. In it there will be a section titled [Redis] which looks like this:
     
    13) now change the password to the one you set above for redis.conf, which for this example was client321.
     
    Stage III: Complete configuration of Epoch Server Settings.
    14) Next, in EpochHive.ini you need to specify the path to be used when starting the battleye on the serverside. Look for the following section:
     
    Change the BattlEyePath to the one appropriate for your server.  In our example, this would be E:\Arma3Server\SC\BattlEye
    Now save and close EpochHive.
     
    Stage IV: Configuring Automatic Restarts and other related issues.
     
    In the past automatic restarts have usually been accomplished using BEC, a freeware tool. For reasons outside the scope of this how-to, development and support of BEC was discontinued and Epoch has been moving to integrated Battleye in various ways including providing functions for automatic restarts. If you wish to use BEC, you can download it using the link below:

    In order to run BEC, you will need to redirect its efforts to phone home. Instructions on how to do so are listed in the post by Dwarfer in this thread.
     

     
    You will also need to set the correct path to your Arma3Server\SC\Battleye folder in the configuration file for BEC which normally would be:  Arma3Server\BEC\Config\Config.cfg.
     
    BEC does still provide valuable functionality such as the ability to play certain messages periodically, but you can also schedule server restarts or utilize other features if you wish. .
     
    Alternatives to BEC for automated server restarts:
    Please see the release notes for Epoch 0.3.0.3 for details on  the built in automated server restart functions. The new method for automated server restarts is recommended if you are setting up a new server.
     
    To use the built in server restart functions, open @epochhive\epochconfigs.hpp
    In the first line, change
     
    serverRestart         = false; // true sends #shutdown command to server after the time specified in ForceRestartTime
     
    to
     
    serverRestart         = true; // true sends #shutdown command to server after the time specified in ForceRestartTime
     
    17) Stage V: Create your server startup file.
    18) Open a blank document and past the following into it then save it in your E:\Arma3Server directory as something like A3Epoch.bat. Note that if you are using Notepad++, its default is to save files as text files. Select *.* from the drop down menu for choosing the file type before saving you A3Epoch.bat:  Again, the you will need to adjust the paths in this file to suit those for your server.
     
     
     
    20) Stage VI: Configure BattlEye
     
    21) Open the SC\Battleye folder and rename example-BEServer.cfg to BEServer.cfg and change the RConPassword.
    22) Create an empty text file and save it as bans.txt in the SC\Battleye folder. Save and close the above configuration files.
     
    23) Stage VII: Starting and joining your server.
     
    24) In your E:\Arma3Server folder find and open the DB folder then click start-redis.

    24) If you will be using BEC, go to your E:\Arma3Server\BEC folder find BEC, and start it.

    25) Start Arma 3, select Play, then multiplayer and finally in multiplayer select remote. Enter the IP and port for your server, which in our example is 127.0.0.1:2302.
     
    26) Also in your E:\Arma3Server directory should be the A3Epoch file you created above under step 18. Find it and click it.
        When you do, the Arma3server console should open after slight delay, and you should see information including the port number you used above in your A3Epoch startup file.  If you are using BEC, once the   Arma3server is running, BEC should go through a few steps then indicate it has successfully connected to the server.
       
    27) You should now be able to join your server.

    I have only packed the Lootspawner in a autostart Addon.

    The Lootspawner is used on 99% of the epoch server and if you have given time and hassle for configuring, and do not wish that they will be stolen. then is that the correct.

    Advantage:
    - Now lazy people can no longer view or steal your settings.
    - The Lootspawner is not more in your epoch.mission.pbo.
    - Smaller Missionfile.

    1.0      Configure the Lootspawner: (or paste your previous settings in it)
    1.1     'Lootspawner.sqf' to change the available variables as needed  (ex. spawninterval, chance of loot, categories of loot...)
    1.2     'LSlootLists.sqf' to customize the items inside the categories.
    1.3     'LSlootBuildings.sqf' to change the lootcategory of a building or add/remove buildings.

    2.0    Pack the pbo back together after configure.

    3.0    Copy the "loot_addon.pbo" into the folder "@epochhive\addons\"

    4.0    If it already exists: Remove the old LSpawner folder and everything from the LSpawner in the init.sqf (in your epoch.mission)

            And ready :-) There is nothing in the init.sqf necessary, the lootaddon starts completely alone.

        Changes:
        Added Configuration information for Esseker
        Added an option to spawn AI vehicles around the mission. By default these are armed pickups but other vehicles can be used by changing the vehicle types in blck_AI_Vehicles on line 38 of AIConfigs.sqf. If you spawn them i suggest you turn off spawning of mines.
        Changed: positioning of static weapons and smoking wrecks was adjusted outward a bit.

        **Known Issues: The smoking object is not deleted upon mission completion
                AI Drivers sometimes run over the AI at missions.

        To Do list: (later this summer most likely)
        Add paratroops as reinforcement as an option.
        Add a map marker that shows the location of completed missions.

    Ok so last night someone came to my ts just to ask me if he could donate to use my paintshop...
     
    obviusly i could not just allow this, but he insisted that i should take his donation and i told him that i would not promise anything but i was already planning on posting it soonish on the forum.
    he was so happy about this, that he decided to donate to me anyway and since i was so flattered by this "move of generosity", i decided that today would be the day to "reveal" it for everyone.
     
    so here it is ... PaintShop by Halv:

    this all started with me fiddling with the sliders in the gui editor wanting to use these for something, so i started making this gui to allow me to set a custom colour on vehicles ... later it kinda "grew a bit" and became what it is today where you can use it to set textures on basicly any "vehicle" in arma 3.
     
    for now, only uniforms and backpacks are persistant, but im hoping this will change in the future.
     
    backpacks and uniforms are saved into profilenamespace so it will be persistant over restarts (even over deaths) the player will HAVE to go and set the default colours on their clothing in order to actually remove this again, if not you will be able to relog (if you somehow loose it) and it will be back as it was choosen in the paintshop.
     
    you can use the sliders to set a custom colour of choice or you can easily add or remove custom textures in the settings.sqf file
     
    to install this you will need to download these files:

    to install add to your init.sqf something like:

    if(hasInterface) then{ now in description.ext add the very top:   if you already have a Halv_defines.hpp, then you can skip the step below, as you do not need another, infact your server will fail to load if you have more than one in description.ext!. (but perhaps check when it was last edited and see if you perhaps need to update it).   if you do not have a Halv_defines.hpp, then you need to add this line: #include "addons\halv_spawn\Halv_defines.hpp" once you have the above line, add directly below it:
    #include "addons\paintshop\paintshop.hpp" if you have infistar antihack, you will need to add this:
    6666 in _allowedDialogs like this:
    _allowedDialogs = [-1,602,6666]; and set _CAP  and _OAP to false, like this:

    to add custom pictures/preset colours just open settings.sqf and change the array, look at how its already done:
    //custom textures ["Linux","trader\trader.jpg"], ["DK Flag","custom\dkflag.jpg"], first is text, this is the text shown in the menu, next is the path to where your picture is located.
    you can also use this to set preset colours like this:
    //preset colors ["Red","#(argb,8,8,3)color(1,0,0,1)"], ["Green","#(argb,8,8,3)color(0,1,0,1)"], VERY IMPORTANT:
    remeber to change / remove my custom images from settings.sqf or you will get an error about them missing when you open the paintshop!
     
    Known bug/limitations:
    when adding textures by double clicking them, it changes the colour on the next side aswell.
    the side painted is not actually painted, its just the "test colouring" that activates cause it switches side and if you press accept the colours selected is painted correctly.
    to avoid this just use "add to list" option instead or learn to live with it (untill i feel like fixing it  :lol:  ).
    some objects cannot be painted, this includes tempest based vehicles, parachute bags and some other, im hoping i prevented the paintshop from opening if no sides are availible to paint on.
    sometimes players uniform/bag is not painted on login, just relog and its usually back.
    profilenamespace can become corrupt and in extreemly rare cases it is possible that it will crash your game on load, in such cases try delete your profile and creating a new one and it should fix it.
    player texture/colours are not seen by ai like players see it, so bright colours will have no effect on how ai reacts towards the player ... idk if this can be called a bug or a feature, its not something i can change (or even want to if i could).

    To include all A2 maps I use: ["Land_A_FuelStation_Shed","Land_repair_center","FuelStation","FuelStation_army","Land_Mil_Repair_center_EP1","Land_A_FuelStation_Build","Land_A_FuelStation_Feed","Land_Ind_FuelStation_Feed_EP1","Land_Ind_FuelStation_Build_EP1","Land_Ind_FuelStation_Shed_EP1","Land_Ind_Garage01_EP1","Land_benzina_schnell","Land_fuelstation","Land_fuelstation_army"];
     
    Just add these to service points in the script.

    Well this was bad news... Looks like the dial home function stopped all from working for me... FIX.
     
    Open notepad as Admin. (right click notepad run as admin). Then open your host file (%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\drivers\etc\hosts) and add the following to the bottom.
     
    127.0.0.1 www.ibattle.org
    127.0.0.1 ibattle.org   The following also should also work find if you put it into your run box then make your edits and save
    runas.exe /user:Administrator "notepad %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\drivers\etc\hosts" **Maybe due to me using reporter functions but this still fixed/bypassed that
