    I'd really like to see it up to the server what the antagonists are. If a framework could be made to support that, it'd be great. Someone may want zombies, another may want werewolves, etc.

    I am adding in the random spawn script and it should be ready for public consumption soon but is up and running right now.
    Yes I already have loot spawning in just like on Donkey Punch Altis and Cherno.

    Sauerland just seemed to me that it was designed to be highly militarized and optimized for large clan wars... both from a terrain and a scale standpoint.

    I liked Napf.. Not a fan of Sauerland though.
     
    Tried both but Sauerland is just too massive.

    It shouldn't be too hard to port NAPF over, just move any fixed locations, things like the traders, spawn tubes, spawn teleport locations etc
    Taviana though has issues, i'm sure i read the bridge is even more glitchy than it was, still possible though if you spend time, maybe overlap the bridge with a new bridge, one that works.

    NAPF is a master planned map with such diversity.

    Napf is by far my favorite map. The level of detail and aesthetic that the map has is nothing short of insane. As it stands, do you think we can see Napf in Arma 3 Epoch?

    In all honesty, having a tank in real-life would be the biggest waste of time for a large-scale survival scenario. It is an amazing weapons platform, but the negatives are abundant. When truly "simulated" a tank requires mountains of preventative maintenance, not to mention a thin-skinned gas truck just to follow it and keep it running; the "modern" M1A2 Abrams averages about a mile per gallon. If any military related items would be brought back, it should not be done without including risks. What if an aging rocket just explodes, what if machine guns that weren't properly cleaned and lubricated misfired routinely, what if tanks required entire crews to operate instead of a lone operator, etc.... P.S. Fixing wrecked vehicles was my favorite part of Dayz because you had to earn it. Hopefully, fixing vehicles will become more in depth than Dayz.

    Survival to me would mean:
     
    - Houses on the map would very rarely have a weapon at all in it. Every house should have food, clothes, and light supplies. 
     
    - High powered weapons would only be available from either military bases or the rare supply crate in the middle of nowhere.
     
    - No machine guns, rocket launchers or thermal scopes. The best sniper you could get should be like an M24 or CZ. 
     
    - No helicopters or tank-like vehicles. Cars and trucks should be the standard... and scarce. 
     
    - Bases should solely be made out of wood. No concrete or whatever else. Obviously they should be destructible in raids.

    Tobias our group loved dayzero. to this day I think that mod had the best balance. I stayed away from epoch until it came out on Arma 3 because I could finally play chernarus on arma 3 with other players. In dayzero you could not find high tier loot almost anywhere like you can on epoch. I think epoch would be perfect if the loot spawns were similar dayzero. I remember when our group found a lupua sniper rifle for the first time. We all actually cherished that weapon. If one of us died with that weapon the main mission would be to get it back or dont let the enemy loot the body. In Epoch its nothing to find a high tier weapon. I'm not knocking it, more power to the players who like that but it would be nice to have servers that have loot spawns similar to dayzero

    Xtal, A3 Epoch is what the server owner makes it. He could choose to include all the helis, to add armed vehicles with 50 caliber machine guns and increase the loot, or he could do what I have, which is to remove the helis (except the mosquito, which is like the mozzie), limit vehicles to about 100 and leave the files alone, not adding in extras like unicorn pooping lock boxes, "starter kits", towing, 1000 vehicles and all that extra stuff. As we are able to modify more stuff, the loot tables specifically, I will be reducing the amount of military gear in the world and do whatever else makes it more of a survivalist atmosphere.

    There's Epoch designed by the developers.
     
    And then there's Epoch, modified and made into a Call of Duty-clone made by many clueless people, who fortunately in most cases end up with empty servers once people start figuring out that what they thought they wanted really wasn't what they wanted.

    Please stop making this mod so militarized. I fell in love with vanilla Epoch, when it was just a bunch of players on Chernarus using CZs and M4s to hunt each other, and retreating back to their wooden shacks... How times have changed... People flying helicopters around cities, shooting people with 50 cal machine guns all while dodging rocket launchers. Please go back to your survival roots. This mod is going to be DOA if you don't fix it. You obviously care about this mod and put your best efforts into it, so please don't just allow this to be wasteland part 2 with random monsters walking around. Epoch is the only mod in which you can build bases and I'd hate to see it fall into obscurity.
