    It's Battleye servers, they do this sometimes, if you notice in rcon, players pings show -1

    Tbh, i'd rather close MGT down than advise my players to use this launcher that actually makes Six look simple to use.
     
    1. Servers do not show up in the server listing by default, IIRC you have to register to get it to display
    2. It renames your client @DayZ_Epoch folder to @DayZ_Epoch1051
    3. Some mods are named incorrectly like Namalsk 1.7.7.1 which is actually 0.75
     
    Steer well clear until it's a viable alternative.
     
    Edit: they do show up, it just takes a little while for it to happen.

    Get the player to change their in game name, that will fix it.

    Indestructible cinder is the way forward imo. Works for us thats why we are number 1 epoch server.

    on our server you can destroy jammer , garage door and wood door. when you place cinderwalls around the jammer , no one can shoot the jammer down. indestructible jammer is a way to "easy" to safe the base. the problem is when the jammer is indestructible some player can place only walls no doors for the base and no one comes in so thats the reason why the jammer is destroyable on our server

    Reasons why i love chernarus:
     
    * distribution of players (good spawn locations, alot of places of interest)
    * variery of different terrain types ("mountains", hills, forests, flat lands (vybor), canyons) 
    * separation between spawn location and destionation (always spawn on outer edge at coast, head inland) 
    * small enough to be populated with the player limits of the servers
    * pleasing to the eye (color scheme and lighting)
     
    Don't get me wrong, bigger maps are also great.... NAPF is my favourite map... why NAPF can be bigger and still be populated enough? Well, it's because the cities are north and west side so only half of the map is populated. Napf is currently the most suitable map for Epoch.
     
    I'm really in for new maps for Epoch and I'm really waiting for them... but sadly most of the arma 3 maps looks like they are not going to be much more fun than Altis.

    Will Namalsk get any love from the devs as it isn't included in the AiA pack?
    I know its as easy as running @Namalsk_lite alongside AiA I just hope it gets supported.
     
    And yes I know there is other topics about people going on about namalsk (MGT saying he's working on it etc) Just would like to know if it will get official love.

    A big potential cause for server lag is the mixing of sleep/uisleep. As we all know sleep suffers when the server slows down, were as uiSleep is based on the system and doesnt suffer the same effect. Therefore having large sleeps WILL get even slower as the server runs out of steam. Not really sure why any would use sleep now a days, unless the code was borrowed from elsewhere.

    The amazing thing is is that A3E had a huge huge audience already tuned in, with the radio station being Dayz Epoch.

    Then we had the key only access, which last I heard there were over 6,000 unique players trying A3Epoch. How many people played Dayz Epoch? Actually, how many A3 copies have been sold?

    I know there was an issue with Dean Wanker Hall and the use of zombies in A3, and I understand why the devs wanted to steer away from zombies. But antagonists aside, why wouldn't you keep to the hugely successful model (DayZ Epoch) when making the brand new version that's on a better performing engine?

    It makes sense to evolve an already successful product than being bold and creating a completely new one with barely tenuous links to it.

    I personally think the low numbers playing is down to the game 'currently' being boring and feature bare (imo).

    The current busy communities will have stronger bloodlines to DayZ Epoch than the quitier vanilla servers. Whether that's something as simple as 'extra loot, 20k cars, spawn with pistol', or something community created like indestructible building materials and/or God zones.

    Anyway, the devs will be rolling out new antagonists and new features, these may blow the gaming world apart, or then again they may not. I hope they succeed as I've been here since A3Epoch was a twinkle in Awol's eye.

    Meh I just don't see the point of having a billion and one servers with vanilla settings and 3 people on them. That's not really how epoch was meant to be played. It's a multi player survival game. Pvp is a huge focus and one of my favorite aspects of it. So a player less server seems like no incentive at all for forking out cash. If I want to build alone id go play mine craft. But meh you are right, it's their money.

    But yes ccg is RAPING the player base right now. Just like they back when they released their A2 overpoch hive. So many other smaller community servers went under. It's like déjà vu. It's why I've always worked so hard on making my servers as customized and unique as possible. Scripts and mods are the only thing that gives the underdogs a chance to walk with the gaints like CCG, firecock, and MGT. Those who don't take the initiative to do the same and expect to keep a vanilla server running with a stable player base on their good intentions alone are kidding themselves.

    Also why it sucks that the dev team are keeping things locked up tight for the time being. Understandable from their perspective but still cripples some of us middle class communities all the same. =p

    Essentially this will be familiar to people who played origins but I think what would be really cool is to have 2 static or possibly 3 depending on the size of the map where you can mine "rocks" to turn into cinder with like sandbags? 
     
    This way it creates a popular area to camp or cause pvp interaction and make it a more fun way to create cinderblocks.

    Mells is a good server because it's frequently at near capacity, but FPS suffers at times.
     
    The only unfair aspect of Mells I can think of is IF their 2nd private server was hived with the public server. If that was/is the case, then I'd be disappointed as I believe it's very unfair.
