AI Skalisty Island, not so easy

For some reason there is a smoke grenade that goes off when players get close to the lotto box. I started noticing that happening after 1.0.5.1 came out. It seems that the small boxes catch fire from it. So i have changed the small lotto box out for a big one and also moved it right behind the palace. I have update the file in Drop Box. Please let me know if you have any problems with it.

How long untill AI respawn on the Island, is there a way to change how long till Ai respawn after there all dead.

They don't respawn until the next server restart mate.

cant seem to get this to work with new wai I dont have a customspawn.sqf 

 

i have all the buildings and bridges but no ai :(

I have redone this for wai 2.1* works good no customspawn. so i left that part out. mission works ai works and lottery works.

change the ai to look like this

I have redone this for wai 2.1* works good no customspawn. so i left that part out. mission works ai works and lottery works.

change the ai to look like this

Sorry forgot that.. it goes into chernarus.sqf in the static folder 

also set these to true in the config.sqf at the bottom

Been running this for 30 minutes now.. only 3 AI spawned? help?

This is great fun but adds a lot of overhead to your server. the culprit here is all the AI which are spawned in 24/7/365 every timethe server restarts.....thus adding 150+ AI to the server load. 

 

If possible I would recommend the .50 cal gunners always be spawned in and the additional AI spawned as someone pushes to attack the island. I'm sure there are other approaches that would limit the number of static AI so that they arent bogging down the server even when no one is attacking the island.

I honestly have no idea what "it" is, nor do I know where chernarus.sqf or config.sqf are even located. I've added many scripts prior to this one, yet I still can not manage to locate these two items you are referring to. You didn't actually tell where any of these things are located. It says in the "static folder". What in the world is the static folder? Are you referring to something located in the dayz_server.pbo, WAI, or what? I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but your instructions are quite unclear to me, personally.

Just to let you know i have been running my M2 gunners from WAI and the ground units from DZAI. This has helped with the lag. When someone gets within 600m the ai ground units spawn in. So let say someone drives by the island. the ai will spawn in, but if they are not confronted they will de-spawn in about 5 minutes.
