    Looks good. Might do a complete new server for it and change map though. Although I have to wait for Gaming Deluxe to release their updater first anyway

    With respect to the developers and recognition of the hard work the put into continuing to add to Epoch, I have watched most of the settings for customization moved out of the mission file, which adds substantially to the work server owners must do to keep our servers running as we intend them to be configured.  I would like to make a plea that there be a config.cpp included in the mission file for basic settings such as build limits, custom zones where building is prohibited, etc. These settings might be included in a config.cpp in the mission.pbo. I have seen config.cpp applied to this purpose very nicely in several modes for Epoch and elsewhere. Asking server owners to dig through the various cfgs and troubleshoot the steps needed to get things working once the description.ext has been modified with little documentation seems a lot to ask.  I am hopeful that future versions will see a little less economy of code and more of an effort the present Epoch as a platform as was said to be the long-term objective a while back.

    Agreed! We also have no armed vehicles and very few armored vehicles.We spent a long time deciding whether to allow them to spawn / be bought or not. We also don't have rockets for the same reason.
    We are a PVP server with AI missions but we spent a long time working out how to keep play fair and balanced. Sadly the new mod that shall remain unnamed in this post has decimated numbers on our Epoch server but I'm hoping this will return when the novelty has worn off and then we'll get a more even split on each of the Mods.

    But the vehicles added to a server are down to the server owners, not the epoch mod team...
    You can add tanks in Exile as well. Maybe you need to complain to the server owners instead

    No worries. I only say it because epoch doesn't spawn tanks as default.
    We have them as buyable vehicles on our server, but we're PVE anyway so they're used for doing missions (depending on whether players want to risk a 30k tank at a mission which is spec'd to cope with tanks.
    I just didn't want you throwing a decent mod away due to something an owner has implemented.

    Please note that just about every component of A3EAI needs to be updated. As usual, headless client and client addon update is only required if your server actually uses them.

    Exile don't run servers, the community run them, so a DDOS attack would be totally pointless, you should really educate yourself on these kinds of things.

    Epoch hasn't lost it's motivation. After seeing the release notes of what's being added in the next patch (within the next week or 2), they're starting to add more content in now. And there are due to be more buildables added in v0.4.
    Devs are still working on, it's still being improved, still having new things added. People just need to have some patience.

    What's wrong with the sappers? There is actually a settings on how much of a chance there is that the sappers will make a noise (if I read the config file correct):

    You can get repair parts which are used for cars. It's not like arma 2 where you had to find wheels - this would be good. But there are repair parts or repair kits which can be used instead of the multigun. Just remove them from lootspawning so people have to carry repair kits or parts around with them instead.

    That way, the script won't execute at all because it will wait until the 3 condition are mets. The way it is now, it will wait until one of the 3 conditions are mets, but thank you :)

    The instructions on this script are nice and easy. If you can't figure this one out, its probably best to get rid of the server ;)
    I dont think this looks like it's coming from this script. To me, this looks like some sort of status bar type thing

    Invision upgrade, 4.x is brand new, 3.x is outdated and no longer supported.
    Let me ask you this, do you still run Windows XP or have you also updated, notice how the new updates change the layouts and features ?

    GD servers are in the battleye folder in the server root :)  The problem is that they are in different places depending on your host, which is probably why people don't tell you where the files are :)
    This script is mainly just a copy and paste job though, with a few edits if you want to amend the prices (i edited all of them yesterday which took a while) and a few other settings

    Yes, I want to play in Vanilla servers. However, I explained my reasons why I have a problem with modded servers, at least when it comes to changing default Epoch values and adding bullshit into context menu. Sure, random AI is to each his own, same with heli crashes with 10 navids and ground loot etc. But there are things, that I think are worse objectively and I think I explained it the best I could why those things suck. And OP asked for opinions anyway, so I just shared mine. No offense taken or anything. I am just fed up with Epoch servers. If Epoch gonna die, it will die because of stupid server owners.
     
    P.S. About black markets, at first I thought the idea is great, but when I played a while I realized that it just does not fit into Epoch. Again, to each his own, some people love it, some ignore it, but I personally can not ignore it, especially when all TOP 30 servers have black markets. Just personal preference, I think Epoch is just fine the way it is, and adding more loot isn't doing any good.

    You need to add a cfgPricing.hpp file as described above, the reference it in your description.ext file.
    Not all vehicles will go on there though. Like the Marid, for example doesn't appear on the admin menu even if on the file.
