    ZCP - Zupa's Capture Points
     
    Current Version 2.0
     
     
    An independent addon for your Epoch server.  
     
    This will spawn random bases (How many you configured) on the map which the player can go to and start capturing. 
     
    This does not involve any AI. This addon focuses to direct PVP action more to those places for people that actually want the danger.
     
     
    How it works:
     
    Players will get a notice that a camp has been set up that they can capture.
     

     
     
    If they look on the map they can see the marker with a certain color:
     
    Green  ->      Not being captured and not contested. Purple  ->      Being captured by a player ( and his group) and not contested. Red      ->     Being captured and being contested by someone else.  

     
     
    Ariving at the spot there will be a base to give a little battle arena / defending position.
     

     
    A message will warn all players that a player started capping that specfic point.
     
     

     

     
    This base will vanish  1 minut after being captured succesfully.
     
    If someone died while capping. The capping status will be handed over to a new player in the zone. Timer is reset and you will be announced again on the right side of the screen.
     
    Group members does not effect contesting.
     
    Winner will receive a cash reward directly into their wallet.
     
     
    Future version will hold more features.
     
    Extra notices:
    You can make own bases and add them in the right folder and in the config. First object is the cappoint. Position does not matter, the script recalculates the positions ^^ Use M3Editor to build bases because the scripts uses that sqf markup.  Cappoints will choose a random base from the base list config each time they spawn. Easy to configure configs. No AI. Low influence on server performance. Easy to install ( very fucking easy) Best experienced on more populated servers, Cus this creates PVP. Not effective for PVE as long as there are no AI. I might add an AI option later that attacks the cappoint.

    This works on every map.
     
    But warning, the original base might be build with some AIA buildings, Those specific objects wil not spawn on a non AIA map. This will however not influence the script itself ( only buildings missing in the base).
     
    Make a little base yourself for example and put it in base1.sqf 
     
    Ill make a full non AIA base myself this evening.

    Install Instructions
     
     
    1) Pack the a3_epoch_server_zcp into a pbo and place it in the @epochive/addon folder of your epoch server.
     
    2) Add zcp.sqf to your mission
     
    3) Call zcp.sqf from init.sqf or anywhere u want :)
    execVM "zcp.sqf"; DONE.

    Edit the boxes, cus they are really default ^^. Vehicle reward is disabled by default cus they don't save after restart without changin epoch code.

    He was being helped by and admin before you both showed up. Yes you did kill him and you were then asked by an admin to leave the area. You failed to follow the simplest of requests and were admin killed because of it. As I do feel the punishment was a little harsh and me personally, would have just teleported you into the middle of the ocean.
     
    Please follow the requests given to you by the admins. Also telling the full truth helps a lot.

    You should not give feedback to the test versions in this thread.
    Read the readme file that is inside the .zip file You downloaded.

    The current test version is outdatet anyway, I will release a new one (with the changes mentioned in my last post) this WE.

    And I have a new simple but powerfull rule for future replys in this thread:
    If You decide to ignore the readme file, I ignore Your post.
    That will hopefully save me some time, if I no longer have to repeat myself.

    Well this was bad news... Looks like the dial home function stopped all from working for me... FIX.
     
    Open notepad as Admin. (right click notepad run as admin). Then open your host file (%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\drivers\etc\hosts) and add the following to the bottom.
     
    127.0.0.1 www.ibattle.org
    127.0.0.1 ibattle.org   The following also should also work find if you put it into your run box then make your edits and save
    runas.exe /user:Administrator "notepad %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\drivers\etc\hosts" **Maybe due to me using reporter functions but this still fixed/bypassed that

    Always use the init.sqf provided with the download and add the right exceptions to Your BE filters.
    Don't mix them up or You will get Be restriction kicks or unwanted behaviour of the AI and probably brake some of the eventHandlers too.


    Just a little update:
    I have made a few successfull test runs with the new (fixed) v0.7, tweaked the AI becaviour (they now get their targets individually assigned) and also added a 3 step punishment if people run over AI with their cars.
    1. AI does not drop any weapons and all gear is removed, so nothing to loot.
    2. Tyres get damaged (slow car = easy target).
    3. If You run over the last remaining unit with Your car then...

    I go to sleep now, will make more tests tomorrow and release it on friday maybe saturday.

    Guys I have a questions about these numbers... I can bet that also other new Admins maybe have some similar question, so here I go...
    expiresBuilding = "1209600";  // expiration date in seconds for buildings expiresPlayer = "2592000";  // expiration date in seconds for players expiresBank = "7776000";  // expiration date in seconds for players bank expiresVehicle = "604800";  // expiration date in seconds for vehicles I understand that by doing following 1209600 / 60 / 60 / 24 = I got 14 days
    But what happens on the 14 day? There is no explanation given , just that it is a expiration date in seconds for players but nothing more...
     
    So my question is:
     
    First start with the buildings:
    If I maintain the buildings will they still dissapier after 14 days?
     
    What about characters?
    Will my character be deleted from DB only if I`ll be unactive or regardless from it.
     
    Because there are no big point of playing at all if the character will be lost anyway.
     
    And what about if I`ll put these number to  -1 or 0 At least for Bank account...
    Will the DB will crash after some while because of the overload?
    For this question lets imagine 50 players ONLINE / Public server...
     
     
    Next about Redis config. Did a little research in guides and found following info:
    after 900 sec (15 min) if at least 1 key changed after 300 sec (5 min) if at least 10 keys changed after 60 sec if at least 10000 keys changed What is the meaning of the keys? I understand that is some kind of changes in DB but can we be more specific talking about ArmA 3 Epoch?

    New Version 0.2

    The change that happydayz mentioned is included.
    The box will spawn empty and the loot inside is then generated, as soon as the AI is killed.

    Also support for all larger maps included in the AiA Mappack has been added (including a little fix for cherno).

    I will later come back and read the feedback + work on a better system that will not only transfer the AI to the client, but also gives the client more control over their behaviour.

    AI also won't shoot at tanks with their pistols.As soon as You fly low enough so they can hit the pilot trough the cockpit window, they will start firing their bullets at it (testet and died trying XD)
     
    Has nothing to do with my mission System. 
    Support for all kind of custom Islands has been added to the new update, so Yes it will work with Chernarus and every other Island You run this addon. 
    Thanks, will add this to a install/how-to in one of the upcoming versions. 
    This issue is fixed in the new version.
    This should be fixed in the next version by choosing a player that is near to the Mission when the current "owner" of the AI is too far away (resulting in getting lesser position updates from the server, which was one of the bigger issues with the early versions of the HC back then in ArmA2)

    New version of the epoch Missions is currently testing and will be released ASAP.
    Maybe later today (European Timezone here) or tomorrow.
