    The guys who do the AiA (All in Arma) pack are redoing a lot of the buildings in Chernarus for their next update. Many new buildings will have functional interiors.  Sequisha is helping them with that and several other map textures also.

    I visited your server, it's pretty wonderful. sadly i'm not man enough to play 1st person mode :)
     
    WTP is probably closest to VANILLA version of the mod, MGT modifies the config files heavily. CPC uses shared hive system which can be abused in many ways.

    Oh ok, heavily might be a bit over estimate, but you do have 24h day on your servers. It's completely ok to run a server like that, it's just not what i'm looking for :)

    we at legion have a server hosted in europe and there is no daft rules you survive thats the aim of the mod survive and build trust who you want . admins wont abuse you or favour some players over others

    Mine's not populated or in Europe, but I agree with you. I see all these silly servers being advertised with "500 vehicles", starter packs and more. I've gone the opposite way and even removed the helicopters except for the mosquito. We have a 24 hour day cycle every 4 hours. Nothing new added to the traders and no crazy rules like "No camping traders".

    My server is in France, we run a 9am to 9pm time, last 45 minutes is dark and last 10 minutes pitch black :)
    We don't have a holdy-hands policy, survive by any means you can, that includes grouping up or robbing people, play how you want ...

    Already really disappointed with some of the servers. Custom loadouts, 24h day, "No camping traders" (the non-safezone ones).
     
    Is there any european server that is even close to the wonderful Mell's House? A server where we could actually play the dog eat dog style epoch experience without having to fear server owners to make us spawn with 2 Whiskey Noodles every time or suddenly changing the server to always daytime?
     
    And preferably also no rules that make imaginary safezones against areas or groups of players.

    Since you were so sure that everyone misses the old key system, i dont. This new locking system creates alot of interesting gameplay.
     
    1) You actually have to build a base to store vehicles. No longer people can be just leaving locked cars littering the landscape. now if you find a car, you can get into it. 
    2) If people do not have a garage they will sell their vehicles to traders, gives possibility of traders having vehicles (new system doesn't have endless supply of buyable cars)
    3) Creates really fun situations in combat when a car is one more timer you have to think about. If you have something valuable like a Hunter you guys are fighting for to protect, you do have to go to the car after 30mins to lock it again.
     
       
    Too common safes really ruined raiding bases on Arma 2 Epoch, only new players were targets for raiding as everyone who had more than 2 weeks on a server had all of their stuff in a safe. I really like the change where lockable containers are destructible and really small so this creates yet another motivation to build a base.
     
    This is not ideal for solo players, but solo players can store their items as Krypto in the ATM and buy their gear from the traders.

    Played the mells house RC1 testing for 3 hours. Here is my after thoughts on what was going on. Didn't get to test everything the patch had to offer but we saw a lot of things with our group. During the time we didn't experience any annoying bugs.
     
    Great job on the patch, can't wait to play it on an european server ;)
     
    The positive:
     
    + All the duping methods i knew of didn't work
    + All the base glitching methods i knew of didnt work (didn't test exiting a vehicle)
     
    + Loot spawning was better now, it was more spread out
    + New weapons were awesome, m249 could maybe have slightly faster firerate EDIT: with further combat experience the firerate is not too slow. the M249 is a beast.
    + Extra food stats, awesome feature
    + new UAV was way harder now, actually spawned AI before we got them down most of the time.
     
    + ATMs felt really balanced, losing money on death is an awesome price to pay for the convenience of having money anywhere
     
    The negative:
     
    - High end weapons still way too common (M107, Lynx, LMGs)
    - Loot still seems to spawn pretty much any building, not sure if this is going to stay but i'd rather see some probability changes for industrial/military/civilian buildings
     
    The what?
     
    ? There was a red dot on the map that didn't have a description on the map, didn't check it out though since it was far away. couldn't delete from map so it wasn't placed by a player.

    Not sure if an intentional feature or a bug.
     
    Server: Mells house 0.2.5
    Time of incident: Past 4 hours from posting time
     
    Bug: Make a group, get into combat, die. You respawn at the debug island but you are no longer in group. If you were group leader someone else will become the group leader once you respawn
     
    Why is it bad: When you make a base, you can't enter it after dying.
     
    I haven't tried to reproduce it, but it happened a couple of times during the evening to different persons.

    Kinda offtopic, but just had the sudden idea from this comment.
     
    Would be awesome if your soiled level was beyond lets say 75, you would cause other people to cough around you (because of the smell). This could be used both as a motivation to lower soiled status when playing in teams and as a tool to spot hidden players nearby.
     
    You, ofcourse wouldn't mind since you're already used to smelling like crap :D

    It's getting close and we need some large scale testing. Mells House server will be hosting the RC patch.

    if talking about a dream map, mine would be an altis sized map, based on real life loosely so not complete fantasy stuff, but it would feature multiple climates (winter north, taiga/tundra, mediterranean and then last desert.).. this would make a huge meaning to heat/cold packs and would make you need different type camos inside the same map.
