If map can use with Epoch it look good.

Some quick observations after setting up a test epoch sauerland server for myself:

 

  • Remove the road debris, epoch adds it dynamically
  • Need to include server keys so that we can keep the verifySignatures set in our hiveext.ini
  • I would love to see more waterways, giant rivers, etc... making the use of boats/jetskis. Right now it's very land-locked like Chernarus.

 

I'll keep adding suggestions as I think of them.

 

This map is looking amazing though!

Hello,

 

what the Hell? Where are my Roadtextures gone??  Is this the failure of missing Roadpaintings at the groundtexture?  There must be Roads in the City.

 

Btw. look at roadcorners. All streets in this City  have unique names with own Roadnamsigns. I think, aprox. 140 unique names. 

Reason:

Player A in Teamspeak: "Who are you?".

Player B: "I am at the Corner 'Kennedyplatz, Adenauerweg'".

Player A: "Ok, i am at Einsteinstrasse, i am in 500 Meters distance." :)

 

The City is so big, it makes finding his teammates easier.

I am trying to set the Traders in Sauerland and i don't get what the problem is:

Hello,

 

it is planned, that the Lake "Hennetalsperre" will be implemented into the map, but there is a problem with the POND Models. They are to small. I have created a new model used for the small lake in the City Meschede. If i put two or three models side by side, they will not work property as water. The model needs a shore on all four sides to work as pond/water. When i make the own model bigger, ARMA crahes. 

 

Second Problem: The Map is 300 Meters over the waterline so that seas, lakes or rivers must made with Models. Its a littlebit tricky, but i never give up and i will find a solution...i hope so. :)

 

First priority have at this time the groundtexture, so dont worry about lakes...

 

PS: The map are made with real geographic data from the NASA (Software: Worldwind)  and is in the middle of Germany. Next Ocean is round about 400 kilometers far away.

Bikeys are ready and comes with the friday night update.

 

FPS are good, but viewranges with 10k  and full details can decrease the FPS in some situations on older systems. I have, to keep good FPS rates, made a little trick. It is only seen from  helicopter or planes. If you traveling with a car or on feet, you will see  the forrest as densely wooded. But if you going thru the first 20 Meters of the forrest, you will see that the distance between trees will heavely increase.

In front of forrest:

after the first 20 Meters:

So, ARMA must not work so hard and spare FPS. :)

Wow. I love this, so glad there is a new (large) map out there! I will definitely be checking this out when i get back to swap our server onto it. Great work, and thanks for the share buddy :)

- Groundtexture reworked

- Some roads smoothed

- Some missplaced buildings fixed

- Some missplaced Railroad-tiles fix around arnsberg

- SOme Framekiller reworked and fixed

- added BiKeys

 

known bugs:

- Outside World Texture. [Looking for a solution]

- Big lake "Hennesee". The model will no work as Water. [looking for a solution]

- Some Sidewalks in Fahrenbrecht flickers. [bugremoving in progress]

Hi falcon, this is a great map!

 

If you accept some suggestions, here are some :D

 

- some roads are to straight, mostly the mud roads (sometimes too much in a area)

- add some barns/bus stations/utility poles, some areas are too empty

- add more details to towns (garbage cans, crates etc)

 

 

the dimensions are awesome, around 30km from SW to NE.

Will definitively install this map on my server!
