Updating to Epoch Server 0.3.0.2 b16 EpochMod.com Autoban #R2 Problems

Question

So I updated this morning to the 0.3.0.2 b16 and began having BattlEye: Admin Ban (EpochMod.com Autoban #R2).

 

My search for this issue has lead me to client side questions about getting banned and someone replying that they were unbanned.

Ran through this thread already

I am also seeing this in my logs:

I don't have Redis Manager installed as I am hesitant to dick around with the DB. I have the epochah set as:

Thank you. Here is a snippet of the server report. Not sure if you meant the report log in the SC folder. All I saw in here was the Client: Remote object 3:0 not found. Also not sure if the entire log is necessary to troubleshoot this issue.

Also, this ban is coming after about 90 seconds in the game so I have poured over the epochah file and Battleye everything.

Same here. My server pretty much was banning every player that loaded in. Ended up changing it to just log for now. If I left it as is, I'd have no players at all.

 

Got this in the server.log; (I have no access to my server.ini on GTX, which I think is where this is stored)

The above I believe is IgiLoad, but I've got no idea if this is normal or not, or the cause of the ban, because '#R2' doesn't tell me anything useful.

In the new epochserver.ini file from the update there is a new (fields) lines under [EpochServer] for IP, Port and password. My previous .ini's did not have ports under that section, only for Redis. Is that correct/true for anyone else?

Yeah, if your in the AH as an admin you wont get banned. We took out the IP, Port and Password to mirror the old .ini. but it did not make a difference though we never got autobanned immediately. Its always the 90 second delay, I guess per the epochAH setting. Thinking of going vanilla today just to try.

Still, the issue may be something that was happening before the update to B16 which was the:

Oh, we tried a manual battleye update and a steam server file update with the steam cmd update with no luck.

Dwarfer, are you getting the BE Server update failed too? This may be a separate issue so I want to tread lightly before hijacking my own thread and convoluting the issue, lol.

Yeah defo been seeing more 'failed to update' messages. Even on the previous version. I just put it down to be be rubbish...

I think the BE issues have no affect on the AH ban's from my test

Might be coincidence, but as soon as I changed the IP to my server's public IP in serverconfig.ini the BE server cannot be reached messages stopped.

Did notice that as well, but the R2 bans "Player not Authenticated" still persist.

So I tried that Floyd. I used that link you posted and used the server IP. I used the password from my config.cfg and I got the autoban. Then, I wondered if that password was for joining the server, which our server is public so I left it blank. I still got banned but the message never comes and it never kicks me locally.

What I mean is that I was still in game, running around but I knew something was wrong because I couldn't interact with objects in the game. Sure enough, checked the ban log and I was banned. Just found it weird I don't get the pop up in game "You were kicked blah blah auto ban r2"

Yeah,

 

All that is used for is the new feature of Epoch doing the restart, schedules and auto kick when someone gets banned, as before players got banned but not kciked so next time they joined the server it was then banned. now it does both ban and kick.

This would not work unless it new the RCON password

Yeah that is what I have done on mine, However still getting the "Player not Authenticated" for every none admin player.

Testing on both, Linux, Windows, Clean install, Vanilla and Upgrade

nothing in the server logs about bans or anything "weird"

 

I have this working on my DEV box with my PC (admin) and Laptop (client) and can get it todo it ever 90 seconds. Then have to clear the ban and re test.

 

I have not check the client logs will do that now
