    It's getting close and we need some large scale testing. Mells House server will be hosting the RC patch.

    The stance is the same, you should not need to modify our files as it will just make it that much harder to keep up with our updates. The idea is to encourage making proper additional mods that do not rely on modifying our code.

    I bought it to show my appreciation on the path Bi has chosen lately with consistent updating and adding of features.

    Over 1000h in ARMA 3 and it still keeps me extremely entertained.

    You see them complain because they're bad... As a lone wolf, i consistently win 3v1 and 5v1's.... Of course, i play on Hardcore Server, so people can't just sit behind a rock and watch you while they tell their friends where you are, because suppressing fire actually works and if you can't see them, they can't see you... So basically, 3rd person is just unfair in general and boring, while hardcore is a matter of actual tactics and wit to a larger degree...

    We had video proof and got the guy banned, he took my gear within like two seconds and alt F4'd or whatever key combo it is and rejoined after going from 2 to 1 to respawn elsewhere

    Getting others interested in the game is good, there will always be individuals who want to take advantage of the opportunity to hack/script themselves silly...it's gonna happen. 
     
    Regarding the servers...BP has run a tight ship with their servers by not releasing it to every Tom,Dick&Harry who wants to run one...it's worth noting.  Whitelist 'em all IMO.

    Arma has so much to offer and is a very flexible and fun game to play and mod. With this flexibility comes insecurity and a dark side.

    Yesterday I spoke with one of the "kids" that have been terrorizing our servers. He is demanding server files in exchange for stopping the attacks. I told him that the server files would have been released to more communities by now if we had something proven stable and secure. Something that this hack-a-thon is stopping us from doing. He offered up one exploit and then immediately started demanding that we give the server files in exchange. He then said that if we did not give them the server files in 24 hours the hacking would continue, and it has.
    Simply put, the current exploit they are using is a fault in ARMA and not an issue with our mod and will ultimately need to be fixed by BI.

    Until this issue is fixed by BI or another fix is found we will no longer be running any public servers. All servers run my me will only be accessible with a password obtained from me or Axle. We will have a few communities that will likely run whitelisted servers so look out for them to pop up on our servers page: http://epochmod.com/servers.php

    I say move on! The current map on Arma3 are great to start with! You want to play cherno play Arma2! The space you have in both of these map are great! Time to create new maps and new WORLDS TO EXPLORE!

    Please note:

    In order to obtained a key, a user must first interact with the community and devs via Twitch, Epoch Forum, Steam Community Pages, etc. By then, alpha testers would already know the full extent of what to expect.

    If people complain about the lack of features in game, then they are only venting their frustrations which, if anything, only hinders the speed at which the devs are trying to work. However, that being said, people replying with provocative comments equally hinders the devs abilities to work on the mod.

    This is a mod, not a multi-billion company working on a game. Half the issues they face are on Bohemias side.

    Please be mindful of others and try not to intentionally offend or discourage players from playing this game. The less players, the less input the devs get.
