What I've seen through observation with my own servers is that after a restart the servers are not seen in the public list (the ArmA3 server browser) until a player joins it and the server initializes. To test that theory, I would stop my server and restart it. It is not seen in the public list or my A3 launcher. Then I would join the server and play for a bit, exit and look again and it was seen in the public list. You might try adding the -autoinit parameter to your server command line. That should initialize the server after a restart regardless if any player joins it or not.

Is there any detailed documentation for the Redis Desktop Manager? The quick start guide isn't much help.

Phone boxes are on the sides of supermarkets and various other places.
That is good to know. I like the Chernarus map, but having the ATMs or Phone boxes on a PvP server really helps. Otherwise, you need a lock box or something to secure your krypto.

So if you use the lite version on the server and the heavy version for the clients, you would need to add the clients keys for the heavy version to the server key folder?
Thanks Richie.

Seasons Greetings,
I want to play on the Epoch Chernarus servers so it looks like I'll need the AiA TP. The download file size is 6.5 GB! Is there a Lite version for this? All I want/need at the moment is the Chernarus map. On the other hand, as more A2/A3 maps are supported I may as well download the whole enchilada. Assuming there is a Lite version of course.

Love the player death variable. naturally I always have a sapper spawn on anyone who kills someone else. the chaos is lovely.
I played for a few hours on the Legion Altis server yesterday. It is a nice set-up and the server is constantly populated with a high number of players. Awesome!
Do you have any idea what the antagonist settings are on the Legion Altis server? The frequency that I was seeing drones and sappers was just about right. Not too much and not too little. I have not seen a cultist yet on any server. I've probably played about 40 hours total, mostly in daylight though.

Merry Christmas to everyone... Expecially the great Epoch devs!
Keep up the great work and thanks for the 0.2.5.2 update :)
What a great Christmas present! Thank you Epoch developers. Merry Christmas!

I want to be antagonized!

Never mind. I got it sorted.

In the Watchdog ini file you can define which missions it should load on. All others it will ignore. So that way you could have it running on Epoch, and have it off for Domination since they use different missions.
I could not locate the watchdog.ini file on my server.

Great! Thanks for the info Darth_Rogue.

Occasionally I like to use my ArmA3 server to host other games. Today I was getting kicked from the server right after joining when it was hosting an ArmA3 Domination game. When I looked at the BE log files Watchdog was all over them. So is there an easy way to toggle Watchdog off when it is not being used? Rename the folder perhaps? I tried to disable Battleye in the servercfg file and it didn't make any difference.
BattlEye = 0 //The server uses BattlEye

Got it. Thanks!

This is the solution I'm almost certain; had this exact issue myself and it solved.
Which file does the -autoinit belong in? I have the same problems with my servers. Most of the time they are not visible in the ArmA3 server browser (public list).

Actually there is a "save" option in the lower right corner of the lightbox.
I already saved them in case the originals get deleted for some reason.
Thanks for the maps, OP!
Got me thinking, it should be quite possible to create a site comparable do iZurvive / dayzdb for Epoch.
Got them. Thank you!

Nice work on the maps! Is there anyway to save the maps as an image file like a jpeg? Currently I have them saved to a shortcut that opens Firefox to view them. Thanks!

That sounds excellent! Thanks for your feedback.

I'm curious since I have only been playing Epoch for ArmA3 for a short while.

<snip>
I personally like the PVP servers, just not really the base raiding aspect. As it sits right now, you can take a week to find all the stuff you need to build a base. Then one fresh spawn who finds a couple of explosives (which are more common than metal) can come along and take it all and you have to start over. Can be fun if your the one doing the raid, not if your the one being raided. :)
It seems like there needs to be a better way to secure bases. I won't invest much time in base building if they can be destroyed so easily. Some players want to see the world burning.
I appreciate your comments. I'm going to flip my server to PVP soon.

PvP all the way for us on our server, the antagonists are too rare, there has to be an element of risk.
Finding loot up North to take back to my base down South makes for some arse twitching moments, when you see a car and think please don't see me, I have all this loot
LOL Richie.
Pucker factor is what makes this all fun. Without the risk of losing anything it gets stale pretty fast.

Good things to know. I have been selling all the metal scraps that I find at the traders. Do you need a workbench to craft items like the original Epoch or has that changed to something different?
That raises another question. Are the plot poles a thing of the past? What would prevent players from building huge sprawling bases? Or other players from building something at your base?

LOL JohnyMST! "A picture is worth a thousand words." Nuff said.

Just an idea that some Altis Life servers are already using (probably not achievable yet without AI missions anyways). Have it so that some part of the map is PVE only and some part of the map is full PVP (WEST pve, East PVP). make players want to go to the full pvp area by giving better rewards for doing so.
This would fit both the PVE and PVP crowd.
I considered that on an Epoch server that I ran previously for ArmA2. I wanted to set-up markers and triggers for the PVP zones. The triggers were meant to notify a player that they were either entering or exiting a PVP zone, similar to the way it works with the traders. One of my admins asked how we could possibly manage that since we were not always online. I considered his comments and agreed. We would probably run into PVP killings on the map outside of the designated PVP zones. Then you run into problems with players. I like the concept though. It gives players a choice while playing on the same server.
Launchers not picking up my server

I don't know then. It works for me. Are those the launch options for your client or server?
