DY357LX
We've had a few players on our server over the past week or two who have managed to change their GUID to match one of our admins. I've no idea if they can do extra stuff with this (our anti-hack menu is passworded) but it's starting to get a little annoying. Is this purely a Battleye related problem? Is it RCON related? Anyone else have any experience with this and can help/suggest work-a-rounds?
icomrade
In your server.cfg make sure you are using secureIDs, you may enable them by adding this line to your config. requiredSecureId=2;
DY357LX
Thank you. It would appear that I can't access that file on our hosts FTP due to CHMOD restrictions but I've emailed them asking them to implement the change. Thanks again. WEB11
I don't have a server.cfg file only config.cfg and basic.cfg for me.
icomrade
then it's config.cfg. I refer to the file that controls the srver settings as server.cfg. basic.cfg usually refers to the config that sets up basic engine functions like network info, packet size, etc.
WEB11
Thanks. Is there any side effects to this?
icomrade
Thanks. Is there any side effects to this? To what, requiredSecureId=2;? No. I've been using it since it was first implemented.
