    Heya,
     
    I just wanted to announce here that my map-pack project "Ghost of Chernarus" is no longer WIP., the planned maps are finally finished.
    There is still another part that will be made, a large A.I. Stronghold to be exact, but its not directly part of that Map Pack.
     
    Since I am only mapping here, I'm searching people well-versed in the setup of custom AI guards and/or database-compatible vehicles.

    I'd like to preview the Chernarus Overhaul I am working on - a collection of map packs focusing on Epoch's Core zones.

    Better protection at Trader Cities Immersive, some pretty eccentric structures Fully modular - each spot is a seperate sqf Hours of optimization work to reduce file size and increase performance Two projects of Fortresses ready for NPCs - one small, one excessively large (approx. 2x2 kilometers of platforms in the ocean) Alternative versions of the maps coming in the future to offer options and variants: No fuelpump in Klen / No Zombies / Less Objects / More entrances   etc. More alternative versions tailored to your personal wishes, just post em here =)

    OMG I get an Error Message about "missing content" for "aif1_buildings" or "pook_h13"
    Don't worry, that didn't do any harm. Standard Epoch includes these two files, but they are not used on Chernarus so the Mod does not find them.
    The Readme file included in the download has instructions on page 2 how to remove the error message  !
    You can play without any problems despite getting the error message, btw.
      How do I install this?
    I suggest using the server.pbo, the Readme file has installation instructions !
      Do I need to change/add the traders manually?
    No, the traders and their market stalls all remain unchanged.
      Does the Castle in Klen disappear?
    No, it will all be normal ingame. The Castle is simply not visible in the editor, thus missing on my screenshots.  
    Permissions/Credits:
     
    As long as players enjoy them, feel free to edit / modify my maps however you like. Just don't claim them as your own work ;)
    Without the Epoch Mod, I wouldn't have worked on these map upgrades for Chernarus, so most credit goes to the Epoch Team!

    I finally got good news, I COULD be rid of the misplacement problem of setposASL... the problem is I don't know why or how yet xD
     
    The Base will not be placed on Skalisty, it's out there in the ocean east of Solnichyi

    Sweet! that fix worked like a charmf or the errors :) sadly, i'm getting complaints from my players now about the airfield :( Not enough loot spots, even with the alt. version with the 1 barracks, I don't spose there's any chance of adding a few more in another alt version~?
     
    Also, another little side effect. In the Hero's area, you got a few ATV's and an offroad in the base, they're very bouncy! And also, if the server is using the R3F towing scripts like mine is, you can tow them!

    I noticed the ATVs bouncing at the HTLH, but didn't think it was an issue. The ATVs seem to do that for some reason. I explored HTLH top to bottom when I first installed it. It looks pretty dang good to me!
     
    I would be interested in an additional alternate adding more loot at the NEAF. It would help to balance the map and divert traffic from the NWAF barracks locations. One more barracks would work great for the high value loot.

    (wow its been quite a while since this ;) )
     
    + First version of 2 small Structure Improvement maps: Zelenogorsk and Grishino
    >> Updated the Opening Post with new Work-In-Progress !
    >> Updated the pack with a better Readme File and only server-side install since its way better. (Special Thanks to Anthraxx)
    >> Updated the PDF - Screenshots and Loot Type Table for the two first Structure Improvements
     
    Small stuff to get in touch again, next update will be bigger, first time mapping again after many hours spentonly checking placement values and testing them ingame.

    Great ! Indeed, I'd need help there, with the following things:
     
    How to add Locations and Triggers to an Epoch Server without causing it to skip the related .sqf file (maps containing triggers and locations dont load)  
    How to configure NPCs into two states: Stationary (24/7 standing guard at the same spot)  and Premade Patrol Routes.

    We've been running your map changes for a week now, and I'd like to relay the feedback I've gotten:
     
    NEA: Awesome changes! Really adds to the post apocalyptic theme and atmosphere. The wire/sandbag fence at the trader makes it very difficult to place a C130 within range, they would like that to be fixed somehow.
     
    Stary Sobor: Again, very fitting of the theme, but they think that there should be a way to sneak inside from the south barn as well. They wonder why there now are two barns there, they think one should be removed.
     
    Klen: Perfect! This makes sense and fits in, perhaps the most liked change of them all.
     
    Bash: It's different, and the "tree village/resort" feels comfortable, but not so post-apocalyptic. 
     
    Bandit camp: Feels and looks like a tivoli. Is this really bandit territory? The race track feels out of place, and so does the general mood of the place. Graveyards, piles of dead, wire fences and dead trees, sniper positions, crashed vehicles spread out and people hanging from trees is more like it.

    Regarding the new traders, don't you have to remove the old trader stuff first? For example, in Klen, you have that small castle that the traders are inside. Doesn't that need to be removed for the new Klen to work?
     
    *edit* Never mind. I added it to my server and see how it integrates the current trader city with everything around it. :)

    Charlatan, I was planning on making a bridge over to Skalisty. But I have this problem when placing bridge parts that they align with the beach when you come up to it,  the issue of course being that the bridge parts placed there completely look like crap.
    Is there any way to tilt the building blogs and not have them snap to the map?
     
    You actually inspired me to do my own little modifications. :)

    Yes thanks, please a little more patience still ;)
    I'm working on it even right now beside typing.
     
    For a little update: I will make ready a few smaller maps of mine, the so-called
     
    "Structure Improvements" shortened "SI"
     
    These are small updates to the many towns of Chernarus where often, literally, no loot spawns at all. In difference to all my other maps, the main intention of these are loot-spots.
     
     
    Finished, only missing proper tests:
     
     Zelenogorsk - Rehabilitation Center and Warehouse
    1x Hospital
    2. Medium Value Industrial Loot  Grishino - Construction Sites
    2x High Value Industrial Loot  
    WIP:
     
    Almost any small Chernarus Town that has no loot at all.
     
     
    Expect the upper two to be added very soon.
     
    Also, sorry guys but I will first finish the Hero Trader after all. Fixing all the misplacement errors in Bleeding Sun Island is a massive, dull task. I need a little break inbetween ;)

    OMG I get an Error Message about "missing content" for "aif1_buildings" or "pook_h13"
    Don't worry, that didn't do any harm. Standard Epoch includes these two files, but they are not used on Chernarus so the Mod does not find them.
    The Readme file included in the download has instructions on page 2 how to remove the error message  !
    You can play without any problems despite getting the error message, btw.
      How do I install this?
    I suggest using the server.pbo, the Readme file has installation instructions !
      Do I need to change/add the traders manually?
    No, the traders and their market stalls all remain unchanged.
      Does the Castle in Klen disappear?
    No, it will all be normal ingame. The Castle is simply not visible in the editor, thus missing on my screenshots.  
    Permissions/Credits:
     
    As long as players enjoy them, feel free to edit / modify my maps however you like. Just don't claim them as your own work ;)
    Without the Epoch Mod, I wouldn't have worked on these map upgrades for Chernarus, so most credit goes to the Epoch Team!

    Anyway due to lack of information here's a little status update:
     
    What I'm currently working on:
     
    - Fixing the positioning problems introduced recently (lots of work)
    - Finishing the last remaining platform of Bleeding Sun Island (medium work)
    - Finishing "Hellhole" / Devil's Castle Outpost (medium work)
    - Brainstorming for Hero Trader afterwards. (easy work)
     
    What recently finished:
     
    Bleeding Sun Island is now distinctly seperated into 5 large concrete platforms containing different structures:
     
    => Harbor Platform - Lowest platform, smallest platform, has structures related to logistics, defense, an air tower.
     
    => Main Platform - Average Height, largest platform, has civil structures, worker homes, a large research-center like structure, industrial buildings, connects to all other platforms
     
    => Industrial Platform - Average Height, seperated in two parts, heavily ruined, with fires, corpses, debries, non-direct paths, cover, many possibilities to add snipers, second path a ruined harbor
     
    => The Blockade - A very small part, not really an own platform, inbetween the Main Platform and the Command Platform, heavily defended, a kind of "Last Stand" barricade
     
    WIP:
     
    => Command Platform - The final platform, somewhat smaller, heavily defended, many spots for hidden caches, guarded against any possible air attack
