0 vbawol
Reports are that there are file differences with Arma 2 free and Arma 2 retail or that the client files on the server are out of date.If you get this error and cannot repair your client files and/or install Arma 2 retailJust remove the "ca" folder inside your mission file. 0 cletus
removing the ca folder did the trick. did not try reinstalling arma 2. i have the retail non steam arma 2 + OA. I did try deleting the client files, and redownloading from dayz commmander.
0 Richie
What will removing it do ? why was it added ? I have my server running fine but some players can't get on who use the free version.
0 vbawol
From the contributor: All the CA folder does is overwrite the broken file for ArmA 2 full. for reference, you will see the error with any patch higher than 106400 in your .rpt (for both client and server). 0 feelgood
what should I do? should I go buy arma 2 full or can I hope for a future update? and what about the other players? if i setup full arma2 on server - should they buy a steam version too? Or what will happen if i will delete the CA folder from my current mpmission file? Will I lose some functionality or feature? thanks!
0 cletus
icomrades fix allowed me to bring back the ca folder. thanks its odd the server started fine several times and then one reboot later threw the rpt error going forward.
0 HiiShinoo
if you have the error message below then all you need to do is delete you "CA" folder from within the mission folder (MPmission) File ca\modules\functions\misc\fn_initCounter.sqf, line
0 LoadingSA
You guys really need to to a better job with patch notes, I had no idea what that CA folder was until just now. It's job was apparently to break servers.

0 LoadingSA
BANG! That's the sound of hitting the ignorance nail right on the head. where in the patch notes did it say "All the CA folder does is overwrite the broken file for ArmA 2 full. for reference, you will see the error with any patch higher than 106400 in your .rpt (for both client and server). " Really they need to post this stuff.
0 vbawol
Using the CA folder should be fixed in 1.0.4.2 for everyone.
