[HowTo] Add new Cars

yeah its an epoch server and its running fine with over 175 new vehicles and over 50 new weapons.

 

its really simple dough.

 

1.Add the addon to your server    ( client and server install ) 

 

2. Find out the Addons vehicle ID

 

3. Epochconfig.hpp ( add the vehicle ID to allowed vehicle List ) 

 

4. Restart server

 

5 There you go

 

PS: for the Weapons you need to setup this and edit the loottables there 

Could you make a small Noob Tutorial as Example on the Police car Mod?

In order to get things like ospreys and police cars you would need to get each one of your connecting players to have the @MOD folder enabled on their own computer. YOU would ALSO need to add the @MOD folder to the server and have it called like @mas / @allinarmaterrain

 

This is the ONLY way you will get those vehicles added UNLESS epoch devs include the .pbo's into Epoch core.

 

Hope this makes it as clear as possible for you.

 

 

So to answer your question in the shortest possible way: NO

Bump could anyone make a Tutorial for this since the last Update i think its possible to add new cars but i dont find any tutorial how to get this 100% to work

working fine for me with latest server version and mas vehicles too. If you are having issues then always start by looking at the rpt log in the SC folder. That basically tells you what and where is wrong and even what line is broken. Look at that line in said file and fix what the rpt is telling you is wrong... maybe you have to many }} or to many ,, it's an easy one to miss, i do it.. most people do.

 

Also adding poilce cars would involve your players having an additional specific mod - You would be cutting your server numbers to like 1

Server seems to be completely ignoring epochconfig.hpp, and also loading a metric ton of boats -_- . Again any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I added a bunch of vanilla vehicles and battleye is booting everyone.

So I assume the error is with call bis_fnc_initVehicle.  How do I fix the BE filter for this?

Hi guys, i understand how to add vehicles. What im a little confused on is the Maximum amount of ALL vehicles. Does anyone know where it says the cap you can have? Or, is it all of the vehciles you have put in added together, for instance if i put in;

Allready Recorded some stuff.

 

but remember custom vehicles allways need a client side install on both sides ( Serveradmin and normal Player ) ( and of course the server needs the files to ( exept for soundmods ) )

Added pawnee - works great until I fire the rockets.

You need to look at your BE logs in your battleye folder on your server, there are a few different ones... the log will tell you what you got kicked for.... you were kicked on #0 so the extra filter needs to be added to line 1 of the filter... A good place to start is searching for the kick in the search field on these forums 9 times out of 10 someone else has had the same error.

Yes understood, I am definitely no expert but I will help you work this out for yourself... If you are going to add things like Pawnees to your epoch server you are going to have to learn about Batteye filters.... When you get kicked the message you see on your screen will tell you what filter kicked you like createvehicle.txt or something like that because you fired rockets, these are not in epoch so the have to be added to the filters.... If it is this filter above look for the file called createvehicle.log and it will tell you on it what the kick was, this is only a example. It will be something like "hydrohe" or "dar" which is the rockets.... Then you go to the .txt filter look for the next line after the kick ie #0 is on line #1 and on the end of that line you add something like !="hydrohe" which will tell Batteye to bypass these... Hopefully this helps you understand, if not please post up here your log file showing the kick

after adding new vehicles to my epochconfig file, I'm getting these errors in the report:
