fr1nk
where is the initserver.sqf mate? just got home from work nice to see this up!!!! good work Download the zip package, it's in the Mission Files folder. https://github.com/SMVampire/VEMF
DONKE0394
It only goes out to one set of radios (There are 10 of them). It only gets sent to players once, I have yet to add a timeout. So by one set you mean it only gets sent to 1 quartz, 1 topaz etc? so if 2 people have a Quartz radio who gets the message, or did i misunderstand? Nice work by the way, the AI are so much more aggressive than the SEM missions

skittles
Could any possibly give a step by step how to install this beast? This is a must have for everyone. Just Because some of us mastered setting up Arma 2 Epoch server's does not mean we automatically know how to do it with Epoch 3. Epoch server .pbo is not the same and I fear I will break my server and have to restart from fresh.
TheVampire
So by one set you mean it only gets sent to 1 quartz, 1 topaz etc? so if 2 people have a Quartz radio who gets the message, or did i misunderstand? Nice work by the way, the AI are so much more aggressive than the SEM missions If there are 5 players, two have a quarts, the rest of an Onyx etc.... If "Quartz" was picked, then all the players with the Quartz radio will get the message, and the others won't. Every time the mission starts it finds all the players with a radio, picks a random radio type, and then sends the message to all the players with that specific radio type. If only one player has a radio on your server, or everyone has the same radio, they will see every message.

Darth_Rogue
If markers become a "must" I'll have to get everyone to remove marker filters so I can switch to createMarkerLocal commands, but no one likes filter editing..... Personally I think markers are a must. People really like servers with missions, but most folks aren't going to want to search for active missions. I agree that it's an interesting mechanic, but I also think it won't go over well with most of the population. Yes, BE filters are a pain, but it's a good experience for people to learn. TheVampire
Version v1.0.0a Pre-Alpha is up on the Github with install instructions. Requires the PBO and Config be replaced. https://github.com/SMVampire/VEMF It includes Bornholm support, and AI Damage Fix (Hopefully). unrealPANDA
KiloSwiss
Thanks Kilo, will your fix be compatible with the full AiA?You don't need to upload the AiA full version to Your server, the Server only needs the Lite Terrain pack and the fix is only serverside.Greez KiloSwiss

milansubzero
Instead of Map Markers is it not possible to make it update the briefing? when a new mission starts.
TheVampire
do we still need the EPOCH_AllowPlayerDamage with this new version? No. A damage fix is now built-in. Instead of Map Markers is it not possible to make it update the briefing? when a new mission starts. I'll look into that. I think a chat message, sound notification, and then maybe a "log" of it somewhere is going to be optimal. Drunkie and cyncrwler
Darth_Rogue
Bornholm works as well as damage. Well done! Now all we need is clearer notice to players that a mission is active and this will be ready to deploy live. :) TheVampire
cyncrwler
I think a chat message, sound notification, and then maybe a "log" of it somewhere is going to be optimal I completely agree. We don't want to make things too easy, otherwise it gets old quick. At least in my experience.

Snakeyes
VEMF is working good on Chernarus. :D I really liked DZMS when I ran an A2 Epoch server. It just worked well right out of the box. No fuss. VEMF will be even better. Nice work Vampire.
