I was wondering, does this mean that the AS50 will be put in lootspawns again and/ or added to the traders?

I ask this because I would not like to use the AS50 on my server and was wondering if I would have to remove it from lootspawn/ traders!

Just adding the config that sets the proper type so that it doesn't take your backpack, it wont be added to any loot tables.

I really do not understand the stigma around the AS50. In a game where you have heavily armoured GPK's with a 50cal on the roof and choppers with mini guns flying around, having a 50cal sniper rifle is not OP. In my opinion both the M107 & the AS50 should be default spawning items.

agreed i've had m107's on bandit ai for some time stops ppl driving through missions.

 

AS50 i bring in for special events - adds some fun

The M107 is on the loot table although the zeroing seems broken.

 

As mentioned with the M107 it makes pretty much every gun obsolete. Semi-Auto, 1 shot kill, long range and destroys vehicles quickly. I use DAYZAI and don't have the drive over AI issue, most of the time you do that they don't die and you get shot in the face through the windscreen of the armoured hummer. 

 

But, I've had them in the game for some time. The trick with items like this is to balance spawn chances to make them rare and sought after. 

 

You want OP? Add the AA12 with HE rounds. Fully auto shotgun spewing out 19mm grenades, its hilarious until you turn round and shoot a zombie in the face.
