chronerion
My current cpu is 3 years old and not the best and I get horrible fps in Epoch. I've ran good with my current rig for those years but I guess it's time. Sometime soon I want to buy a new CPU along with a new mainboard (in anticipation of DayZ SA and other games) so I'm curious at what hardware you have and how much fps you get in epoch? Currently epoch seems to be the mod with the most cpu load because of all the objects created by players. My current rig: AMD Athlon II X4 640 GTX 560Ti I got about 9-15 fps when I tried playing in September. Agnia-reR
Achmed
The only way to get a true indication on what hardware gives what fps is for all the settings to be the same also. Kind-Sir
Grinchen
Everything maxed out to high/very high: 70-80 FPS. i7-3820 GTX 780 SLI I will upgrade my motherboard and CPU next year though, so I expect an increase when I get a better CPU with a bit more juice. delta_thames
Everything maxed out, capped at 60 fps. Typically run at 60 unless I'm in Cherno/Elektro, where I get 35-40. i7-2600k (running stock speed atm) GTX 560ti
BetterDeadThanZed
Usually 30 - 40 FPS with a octocore CPU and ATI 5870 OC video card. Can't recall the exact brand/specs. Vanilla Dayz without AI, I can usually get upwards of 80 FPS.
neiljb
As mathewjknott said, it depends massively on you graphics settings and your 3d resolution settings.

If you have an octocore it's probably an AMD, I can't recall Intel having octocore processors. //edit Unless you want to tell me you have a 8 core intel cpu which currently sells for 2000-4000 bucks. DrScandalous
Everything turned to "Very High", ambient effects (that one that causes the light blooming) turned off. i7 3770k at stock, GTX 570, 32GB RAM I've only ever ran FRAPs at 30fps, and it sticks at 30 all the time no matter where I am or what I'm doing. Maybe I should try 60fps sometime....
SilverBulleT
AMD FX-8120 Gigabyte 560TI (448 core) 16MB ram Rig is about 1.5 years old and I bought mid-range stuff at the time. I get 40-60 FPS depending on location on the map on max settings. I'm guessing my processor is what is holding me back somewhat, I have a feeling I would get more out of a i5 / i7 than a newer video card, but I could be wrong, but 40-60 is more than playable. Funny thing is, I've seen DayZ (Taviana) on some friends computers who are maybe 3 years old, and it looked like complete dog shit. Barely playable frame rates with god awful looking graphics. I was skeptical of buying Arma 2 to play DayZ with them, until I looked at HD videos on Youtube and it looked like a completely different game.
