Lagy server - Why ?

Hello, I'm really nerd about laggy on my server.

 

Cause in forest i run at 60 Fps, but arround Cherno, electro, Berezino and other big city's I have15 fps FPS  :(

 

But i'm really lost on how to fix it..

 

Could it be?

- A lot of mapping? (20 mapping zones added)

- Addons pack (a wrong Pbo added?)

- Other Idea?

- I've tweaked my server side but no positive effect

 

Help me plzzzzzz :(

Hi,

 

Many addons slow the server down. Especially SARGE AI, it's a huge performance eater.

It could also help to know the server hardware specs.

Is there any way to tone down sarge?

I removed the heli patrols and it increased the debug fps around 2.

The other way would be to use the Dayz Simple AI.

One problem i had was that my destroyed vehicles on our server were clogging the database pretty bad so i would recommend looking into that just search for damgae 1.00000 in the objects_data tab.

I think my db is set to clear them every day anyhow

Sure ? My provider does not enable the mysql scheduler, so the default cleanup queries you're supposed to add to the database don't work for me :(

Well i d'ont use Sarge AI :) then yesterday i'll test many thing

 

- Without Mapping : Not better

- Downgrade Arma2OA server version 106400 to 103718 (Like Dayz commander said it's a stable version)

 

And it's work like a charm now.

I7 2600K / 670 GTX / SSD Raid 0 / Setting arma2 OA set to 1920x1080 (all normal)

 

35/40 FPS arround Cherno, arrive at cherno 15/20 FPS

40/50 FPS arround Cherno, 25/35 in cherno

Well I think we have a dropping FPS with to many Mappy mod. but not really hard dropping .

Sarge has mentioned that he is looking into usinga headless client for his AI to help offset the load. It does require another game licence and the server still needs the resource to handle it but does remove the resource usage from the main game server.

Not sure how he is getting on. There is a big issue in the way arma handles object locations at larger distances. Is how the engine manages such a large playing environment but no good if your point of reference is 4km away from the action..
