Says to look at line 89 of your init and see what number is invalid.

However, you can get rid of remote messages and change your scripts to use the following to send messages if you want an easy alternative.

Remove the .... above the _nil = [] blah blah or // it out

Yeah im going to go for a fresh install. Any way you could upload what the lines in a working init.sqf would look like? as well as the working radio stuffs

 

My init contains so much custom stuff it wouldn't work for you without me turning it back into a stock init, which you will get from a fresh install. Regarding the remote_messages I don't use it. I prefer using the method I posted before.

I was able to get the events to work, but am having trouble with the messages.

Ok the minefield script is on my Github. I decided to nix the cleanup and add in a spawnchance factor to it, which is currently set to 30% and can be changed in the file. There are warning signs at the corners of the minefield area so if you are paying attention you can avoid the fields. The cleanup from a Role Playing standpoint made no real sense, since who cleans them up when a camp moves or gets wiped out? That stuff gets left behind and it's very cool to come across random minefields when you are out hunting. They will disappear on server restart.

 

It is setup so you take minor damage and possible bleeding if you are on the edge of the trigger, think of being grazed. If you run right over it you take major damage, break your legs and could go unconscious for a short time.

Good idea, sounds awesome, I'll give this a shot later when I get back from work. If you're still feeling creative ( ^_^ ) how about an event that spawns in an Ore Vein for a short while? "A new Ore Vein has been spotted, check your map for the location."; I have no idea what item is needed to harvest them though. Thanks for the Minefield addition!

I've got this working fully on NAPF with patch 1.0.4.2 next to DZMS and SARGE AI. Works perfectly!!

But i was wondering if i could change anything in the script so that the marker will get cleared after all the loot has bin taken or the crates are destroyed.

If it could even be just a message on the screen that would already help allot.

 

Now we have the "problem" people clear the loot but the marker is still there so other people head over to the marker to try to find it.

 

 

I was also wondering if the IKEA mission could be changed from crates to a truck with loot in it.

We want to change the mission from IKEA Truck dropped........ to IKEA Truck has crashed.........

Put the file in a custom folder and call it from there. So for example it's file path would be  MPMissions\DayZ_11Chernarus\custom\remote_messages.

Still get an error and nothing displays. I don't have the death messages so turning the radio function on or off wouldn't matter anyway, right?

 

I noticed the mission folder has  DayZ_Epoch_11.Chernarus and DayZ_Epoch_17.Chernarus folders. Are there supposed to be 2 folders of the same map?

I dont know about the death messages i used the above code and it works fine. my missions display the text really quickly and go away fast but i am looking into that. i see that there are 2, im pretty sure you only need the 11chernarus that is if you are using chernarus. ANyone else have 2 cents?

I started using this at the request of a few people on my server. I've been having problems with the missions despawning when people get close to them. People are going to do them, and they are disappearing (off the map, and the box). 

 

I'm using all 4 of the scripts currently, is there a way to stop them from what I'm guessing is overwriting each other?

Okay, so i installed these scripts (construction, treasure and supplyitems) on my server, and they work somehow, but not like i wanted to. Could anyone help me with this?

 

Heres the files how they look at my server:

The problem is that i want that theres multiple events running at the same time. Like construction and treasure, or supply and construction etc., but NO 2 of the same (supply+supply). 

For example: Server is restarted at 15:46, and it spawns a Construction event at 15:50. Okay, that works fine, there's lootbox and marker, but at 15:55, when it should spawn Treasure event, the RPT log just says:

6:55:01 "RUNNING EVENT: Treasure on [2014,3,23,15,55]"
6:55:01 "Event already running"

Same thing with supplyitems, at 16:00. When the construction event ran at 15:50, RPT log said:

6:50:00 "RUNNING EVENT: Construction on [2014,3,23,15,50]"
 6:50:00 "Spawning loot event at [7940.28,7288.29]"
 6:50:00 "Creating ammo box at [7944.83,7308.07]"
 6:50:00 "Loot event setup, waiting for 1195 seconds"

At the 16:10, it ran construction event again, with no problem:

So, I've tried to make it so the text messages only appear to players with a radio, like this:

But the problem is that player is no one, when the script is run server-side, so it won't work for anyone.
 
Will something like this work?
