shurix
I rent my Arma 3 Epoch server from GTX Gaming. Awesome host from all perspectives. I don't have access to the database settings but I can download and manipulate my database offline. The size of my database worries me. appendonly.aof = 321,975,349 dump.rdb = 1,373,094 I thought that incremental changes are recorded into appendonly file and after 30/300/600 seconds are moved into dump.rdb... Please advise if this is normal or my redis.conf has not been setup correctly

0 nedfox
LOL @ Prone. But yeah, anywhere between 1-100Mb is pretty normal, from what I've seen on our servers.
0 shurix
Thanks y'all! That was not my question though. What bothers me is the huge size of appendonly.aof compared to the size of dump.rdb. Is this normal to have appendonly.aof so huge or not?
0 nedfox
The swapfile is the size set according to your total memory, not to what you tell Redis to use in memory... This is why some hosters ran into trouble, where the swapfile actually was too big to fit on the drive ! So yeah, it's HUGE compared to the actual dumped file.
