I decided to let it verify and redownload the AiA terrain pack and man, the download rate sucks. Is there an official forum for the launcher that anyone knows of? BetterDeadThanZed Posted January 18, 2015 Author Report Share Posted January 18, 2015 Another related topic, I told my server host that here on the Epoch forums, they are giving a link to a version of the AiA Terrain Pack from 6 January 2015, and they replied that the one from 1 January 2015 was the latest one released. This page on Armaholic seems to support that: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=26682 So, what's the deal with the version linked to here? I tried joining a test server of mine with the one from here and it doesn't let me join it, giving errors that indicate I'm using the wrong version. Darth_Rogue Posted January 18, 2015 Report Share Posted January 18, 2015 It says the hotfix is FOR the version that was released on 1-1-2015. The hotfix itself was released on the 6th. Confusing I know...... I updated my servers a couple days after 1-1-2015 was released. Then had to listen to my players complain about crashing for two days until the hotfix came out. lol If you download that pack you should be able to look at the date stamps on the files and see when they were created. I don't know but that's what it says on the Epoch downloads page and if you open the file from the direct torrent, there are a couple of files dated the 6th of January. Still doesn't make sense. The bistudios.com link has a different file than the direct torrent on the Epoch page. The direct torrent on the Epoch page has files dated 6 January. Darth_Rogue Posted January 18, 2015 Report Share Posted January 18, 2015 Zed, it may be telling you your download is corrupt because you either have or don't have the hotfix which either was or wasn't applied for the A3 launcher download. There's a mismatch there somewhere. The only way to know which way it goes is to download it and see what the date stamps are on the above listed files. The full package has files dated 6 January, at least if you download it from the direct torrent link. When i see this i Stop the seeding process close & open again verify and then i can join servers. I tried to contact dev (Maca?) via the info email and it just bounced back to me. There are many issues with lots of people being unable to join through A3 launcher being told to re download mods that have been in place and untouched. The update to AiA may account for some of these problems but A3 launcher is not working as smoothly as DayZ Launcher does. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

BetterDeadThanZed Posted January 19, 2015 Author Report Share Posted January 19, 2015 I have a new problem. I renamed the folder with the AiA terrain pack so I'd have a good working backup. I downloaded the terrain pack from A3 Launcher and tried joining my server. It said I didn't have the AiA mod installed and I know why. Because my server is running the lite pack, A3 Launcher is trying to launch the Lite pack instead of the full pack. CH!LL3R Posted January 20, 2015 Report Share Posted January 20, 2015 Its something wrong with that Launcher... Installed the latest LitePack (2015-01-01) on the server und downloaded it too. Could connect to my server without errors... Starting the Launcher... corrupt version...launcher updates the Pack.... couldnt connect anymore.... So, dont know how to say people that connect to the server and get a kick where they could download the newest version and start the game without the launcher.....
