Abort Greyed out when killed - 1.0.2.3

Since upgrading the server to 0.1.2.3 we noticed that when you get killed the Abort Button is greyed out. Only option is to Alt F4 out of your game and to load the game again.

 

Anyone else getting this? We are using standard files with no mods currently.

wait 10 seconds to abort

The 10 second count is working, the problem is when you get killed, the option is not showing itself after 10/20/30 seconds. This is only happening on the kill screen.

Some players reporting that it gets stuck and the abort menu never comes back, would there only option be to abort completely out of game?

Are you sure they are waiting 10 seconds and not just assuming its not working like the OP?

Well, it is a bit counter-intuitive. I see why people are confused.

 

The 10 second countdown timer does not show up on the "you are dead" screen, so all they see is a greyed out abort with no indication it will show up.

I have had players complaining to me that they dont get the countdown as well. i said to them about waiting the 30 seconds but they had waited and didnt get a timer showing at all

Are you sure they are waiting 10 seconds and not just assuming its not working like the OP?

 

Yes, it was reported to us by a player who plays on a potato PC, hence why it was probably stalling for them.

I just saw tonight, when dying (as a zombie) I had no countdown so it was just patience that showed the abort button.

10 seconds is a long time when you've just died.
