My databse connection to the sql server thru navicat is fine & working, can you give me some clarity on the exact info required below the database details in the setup window of the tool?
Database settings are fine, it's the detail below i need clarity on please?
Server IP: Clearly i know that
Server port: no problem
Server Rcon? is that my Rcon password? (which i have)
Server iinstance: My server instance ID (which i have)
World ID: is this neccesarry for Epoch? (again i have that info from my database if needed)
Hive Schema: Set to Epoch?
Secure: ? what does that mean & what do i select yes or no?
HeadAdmin Login name: Do i create this or is it anything to do with my server or rcon details?
HeadAdmin Login password: as above.

Rcon = your (Arma2 Server) Battleye Rcon Pass
World ID = Reality-Hive only
Hive Schema = for epoch choose epoch
Secure = enable/disable login system for tools
Headadmin Name/Pass = only needed if secure

Lool, not so fast..
get to tools install screen fine now but after entering details just goes back to Wampserver main screen, is there a way to test the details i'm entering are correct? is this why it's going straight back to wampserver main screen?
Is there a log i can check?
Also getting "Wrong hive schema" if i click on PrivateHiveTools_1.01 in Wamp home page.
delete all WAMP files in "/htdocs" because is not needed..... and then copy the hivetool files to htdocs again...
you can test your database connection with "Navicat Lite" or "HeidiSQL" ..

Fantastic reply thanks Wampserver all installed & working, i have done the above but when i try to login to http://127.0.0.1/setup.php i get web page cannot be found.
Also I cant see setup.php as a file in the tool downloaded i unzipped to C:\wamp\www?
Any ideas?
its now called as "install.php"!

maybe a issue by a setting in the "php.ini" because i have this not...
please check your "php.ini" settings file if:
{
magic_quotes_gpc =On;
magic_quotes_runtime =On;
magic_quotes_sybase =On;
}
then set all to "Off" and restart your apache/xampp/lamp ... -

This looks fantastic again Nightmare, great work. I'm renting a server (not dedi box) from a DayZ hosting company and have access to FTP / SQL DB / RCON but am getting "# WRONG HIVE SCHEMA! #" when connecting through my browser using WAMP. Any help would be greatly appriciated, although I'm pretty sure I'm overlooking something simple.
connect to your sql server where you have installed the tool and have a look in the "tool_settings" table on "key" => "HIVE_VERSION" and change in "value" what you need to
"epoch,reality,lite,original"

I've got it all installed already (I was already running a webserver on a machine) and it's working great Nightmare.
The only things that do not work/I can't figure out are these:
adding admins - the text boxes clear after I enter in the info in both boxes, but i cannot login with the information. Also, nothing is added to the config.php - only the headadmin info is there.
the Epoch KeyGen - How do I use this?
Other than that, everything is working great!
(Maybe you could add a live view map soon? :) )

hmmm... have currently no idea whats wrong , for me its working. the only time when boxes is clear after submit, is when you enter a already exist admin name ..
The KeyGen is for convert a ownerID to Item Key classname e.g. owner id: 2374 => ItemKeyBlack9836 ....
No a live map is currently not planned.. I had already started to make a live map but is for chernarus and i'm not good in this and to many maps out there

When you say private use you do mean can use single/multiple servers and their communities just not embedded into Dayz Server Rental/Hosting Platforms?

:P Hehe i'm not good to write a readme instruction. (english issues too) but its a logical: PHP software needs a webhosting enviroment like LAMP, WAMP or similar .....
With Private use only i mean, its fully free to use multiple times for a private person or gaming clan (ALL NON COMMERCIAL)

you can increase the performance if you have only one map running e.g. "chernarus"
delete all unused data entries from other maps in your DB-TABLES:
- trader_tids
- traders_data
- server_traders
you can test it out, here a example for chernarus (instance_id 1): example_trader_chernarus_only.sql

check if you have the right server instance!
chernarus default is: 11
if you have different instance such as 11 , you have to edit the table "server_traders" ->> column "instance" all where 11 to your current instance from mission...
